    I want one so bad, everything on it is premium!
    I'm stuck building my own though.
    Saw your early work on a forum and got intrigued.

    Great job with this, so well thought out. You save so much weight and boost efficiency by having external gear reduction on the mid drive. This will be the trend in the future. I hope you keep working and release better versions in the future. I would love to see an even lighter version with carbon fiber everywhere.

    Looks like Tesla hill. You know the one TikTok vid that went viral because someone went full send one night in an electric car.
    30mph isn't too shabby at all. I'd be happy with 20-25mph.

    It also helps to climb with those small 20 inch wheels. This is good ingeneering. Looks open and easy to maintain.🤠👍 This design is perfect. No need to change it!!!

      Thank you! These are 24" wheels though

    • @gameboyprototype5046

      Ok🤠 But smaller wheel in general requires less energy to turn. Gives good acceleration I belive as well. But Im no engineer. Just a guess. Any way this is a great bike 😊

    Going up the hill 2x , on throttle only, How many bars did the battery deplete?, a single bar?, more?
    I’m more the weight conscious, and distance factor. The speed in the high 20s, to Low 30s is already an amazing build.

    • @chimerabmx
      @chimerabmx  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks! I think the battery depleted by about 6%.

    Hey I've been looking everywhere for something like this, and honestly the main issue for me is the price. the price is just as bad as all other e-bikes. I was thinking of making my own but I realized it's the market ig idk. cool idea I love it hopefully someday I can pre-order

    • @chimerabmx
      @chimerabmx  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thanks for the love. Hopefully we get to make you a bike someday. As for the price, this bike is made almost entirely out of titanium and the drivetrain is all custom machined parts. It's also decked out with killer parts; Sun rims, Magura brakes, Kenda tires, ASI controller, Molicel P42a 90amp fully potted and aluminum encased battery pack...all wired and hand assembled here in Los Angeles. We even lace up the wheels here. Other ebike companies charging similar prices don't come close to that level of quality. It's why our bikes drastically outperform others.

      @ssl7986 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@chimerabmx Don't need to worry my mind is only on you guys. Do you think you guys could build a cheaper one by chance? like one without the custom parts? and pay you for that?

    So this is with the 52V battery correct? What about the 36V battery? Can it do this hill as well? I have some big hills on my way to work. It's only four miles away but two big hills and one monster hill along the way. I'm more interested in the hill climbing ability than the top speed or range.

    • @chimerabmx
      @chimerabmx  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@alexmachine570 Great question! We haven't tested it on that kind of monster hill yet, though we have on less insane ones. The 36V can't output quite as much peak current, but it can output almost as much continuous current, which results in a lot of continuous power - like around 1800watts. So it's likely that the 36V could do monster hills as well.

    what ever happend with this bike??? its stillll on “pre order”? lol

    • @chimerabmx
      @chimerabmx  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We manufacture the frames and motors in small batches, then assemble and ship them one at a time. It takes a while and the demand is high. That's why there's pre-order list.

    You guys need elon musk funding to mass produce this and sell at and affordable prices

    • @chimerabmx
      @chimerabmx  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This particular model is made out of titanium. So there's really no way to mass produce it or bring down the cost. Haha Elon would charge way more! We're working on a more affordable steel version with base-level parts.

  • @kingslepton

    These bikes are built expensive for no reason I don’t understand how lectrics bikes basically do the same speed and cost 1/4 of the price. This company needs to make these bikes worth 1.5k minimum. Or else a competitor will come and do so and Taiwan and china have no problem with creating this competition.

    • @chimerabmx
      @chimerabmx  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Name another electric bicycle that weighs only 37lbs, but has the power to climb a huge hill like this throttle-only on a single gear, and also hit 35mph+ top speeds. We'll wait...
