So pumped on this!! I love ebike stuff. One of my subscribers( dale ) sent me this when they saw you tagged me. I would love to collaborate bro🤘🏽. I want to make this lol👍🏼.
@@sheanyquist - I can vouch for him on this.... He just brought this up in a live stream and told us to pop in and check out your channel and I haven't been disappointed yet, I'm a BMXer turned electric bike/vehicle enthusiast too¡! 😊 I'd love to see a collab between the two of you or a bike kit build video for Fede to use on his channel type of deal.... I seem to remember a self barspinning bike I seen before on someones channel. 😁😉😂
i need to do this conversion to my bmx i feel like i would have to use a belt drive rather than a friction drive because i live in the uk and its always raining lmfao
putting it on a bmx actually makes the most sense, since the whole pedalling with just one gear can really f*** you up when your trying to go somewhere, and having some assistance takes away the biggest drawback from the bmx.
I like the build, really like you can still use the BMX as BMX should be. I built a few EBMX bikes but most you could never style like that, Mine were more street rocket and too I use BMX frame to build electric mini bikes for kids. just using a direct drive hub motor on the rear. I feel ya on the delivery wait time, especially when it is the wrong part. I would had likely been looking around town at auto part shops to find a belt to do the job.
Pretty genius way to go about it, I like friction drive the best of all options. Can't lie though when I seen Nyquist in the name I was kind of expecting some huge barspins. lol
You are a genius! For my BMX Im dreaming of welding on some 'dirtbike foot pegs' and inventing "crank lock" device with an on/off actuator lever on handle bars...this would surely make riding vert easier&safer for us older bmx newb's who cant afford an injury...and more enduro feel....but i guess this would be cheating lol
This is cool, everybody else bolting on kits, saying there the first or the most powerful! Blah blah! Super cool u engineered and truly made this is a one of kind!!! I’m super impressed!! Awsome fricking Awsome, I love ebikes, I would buy this and pay a lot!
I'm not familiar with the friction drive, but I got a 750 watt 20" hub motor kit and also got a 36 volt 5 AH battery for my bmx about 4 years ago and it's been great. Pretty easy to build, and plenty of tutorials on TH-cam.
Come over California San Jose open. A shop that can install motors those whom likes it not just buying eletric have to? Thanks Lite weight , and plus flexible

Hey, Mr. Nyquist, is there a possibility to get in contact with you for some advice on my build? I've been working on a two stroke BMX design, and I have it posted here (motorbicycling.com/threads/engine-bmx-70-done.66635/#lg=post-690196&slide=0) if you are interested in checking it out. I wasn't initially going to go electric up until I saw the motors that you integrated into your build, and I was wondering if it's possible to use the bottom spindle as a jackshaft in any way to integrate those motors...

Great job/great vid. thank you.
Thanks!!!!!
Nice work!
That was sick..... I'd love to see Ryan on this beast hitting some dirt jumps.
Always cool to see a fellow balding biker! My hats off to you!
Sick result, I didn't realize it was a friction drive when I saw it on Instagram, that's impressive power for that design. Nice job man
Thanks man!!! It was a fun build and a great outcome!
The bike I wish I could've had as a teenager. I had the mongoose Californian from the movie RAD.
This thing is siiiiick dude
Thanks man!!!!

Hahahah, scary!
Mind blown 🤯
Thanks man! It's been a crazy build!
Really insane !!! )) I like that idea with motor ..
Great video. Keep em coming.😎
I did one like this too inspired by Tom I also made a electric gokart
I love Tom Stanton's stuff
Awesome!👏👏
Would love to do this with my bmx bike I just don’t know where to start

Yes
You just earned a new subscriber for this vid. This is rad af.
Thanks man!!!
And another here!
Sick bro
FIRST!!!!!! Thanks buddy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yo that is awesome. I think you should cover it up make it look good and sell it with a nicer range battery
For sure, it's just prototype for now. I'm sure I could send some time and make it a consumer product!
Yooooooo
Dude. You were definitely on my mind when I was tuning this guy. You gotta go electric for your next scooter!
Come over California San Jose open. A shop that can install motors those whom likes it not just buying eletric have to?

Oh you should turn on the self balancing feature after you add on a gyro imu!
Then let people ride it.
That would be cool!!! Or extra long wheelies!

So rad! Loan this puppy to Ryan please.
Hahaha, we have been talking about it!
You did look totally different with beard and Stache
Hahahaha, it comes and goes! Especially during covid times?
@@sheanyquist lol I totally understand!!!
I’ve got 2 of those motors (not Mboards) on my longboard and I’ve hit 35mph
Some real batteries and you could do some damage
I don’t park ride
I want to ask do i really need big wheels
👀👀👀
What did you do with Shea?
Just taming the beast, hahaha. I was looking like a homeless person

It was designed for Haro bikes, but they passed on the design.

Was it Wethepeople?

Thanks bud!!
Carbon frame be nice see
Is this street fighter music?
I don't think so. Hahaha
@@sheanyquist That first track sounded like some hype ass street fighter 4 music. Love the vid btw cant wait to see the next one with this bike.
Do make for me what cost boss.
is there a more "budget" method to do this?
Hmmm, you could use cheaper motors, batteries, and controllers. The performance will drop though
@@sheanyquist alright! I just want like a 2 mile range minimum and I’m shooting for under 200 dollars so
@@quentinbona you can drop it down to a single motor system and probably save some money as well
@@sheanyquist what tools will i need to do this?
@@quentinbona saw, files, drill, and taps. And lathe and mill make it easier, but it can be done by hand.
I am from india karnataka state
Step 1 - Take prototype to china
Step 2 - take to factory
Step 3 - Sell
Step 4 - Count money
Or just wait for them to steal it and buy the final product
