I ordered mine a while back with the 52v battery. Hoping production starts late July!

Wow! This is a solid price. My current Bmx is $2500 and it’s not electric. Do you think chimera will make a 20 inch Bmx frame like this? I would love to be able to just build up a 20 frame with my parts

I’m heavily considering this one. The titanium one is out of reach for me but this is more my speed since looking at the ultra flex

This looks so fun 😮. Looks like a real Bmx unlike the zooz and cheaper

It is a really cool bike but I'd rather have 20" wheels than 24s but then again I wouldn't refuse a Chimera if someone gave it to me either..... 😂🖤

Been wanting one since the crowd funding campaign. Wait time is the deal breaker though.

The wait time is a bummer for us as well. But it's allowed us to keep the quality and performance very high.

2500 is not exactly affordable that's double what I have in my custom built bike and it took years and living off grid to actually get you really need to retink affordable Mike

While I get their price with the amount of custom/proprietary parts they use on this bike, I'm with you on the price. $3000 in this economy with the crazy inflation/price gouging on nearly everything is not even close to affordable for a lot of folks, especially for something as niche as a BMX ebike that you can't even ride as functionally on trails/parks/street as an actual BMX bike.

The problem with ALL these electric bikes is I can just get a used modern 4 stroke street legal dirt bike in socal for 3k

@@Troph2 that's why you build your own ebike if you don't want to pay for gas and insurance I hit a gt 26 inch pro performer on sale for around 400 put a bafang hub kit on it for 860 with a way bigger battery I have 14.5 amp hr so I can actually get 30 miles on throttle at high speed and I agree on the prices I can remember buying used cars for 500 to 1500 on the regular back in the day I even got a car that lasted a lot longer than I expected for 50$ it's purely greed that has prices this high now days

@@Troph2 No gas, no registration fees, no drivers license, no insurance requirement... Just a few reasons why ebikes are popular right now. But if you don't mind all that stuff, go do you. 👍

@@magicgundamAgree 100% that it's not affordable for a lot of folks. And honestly we're not happy about it. It's certainly not reflected in profit for us. Unfortunately it's a limitation of the scale and tech of the ebike industry. You can get ebikes that are cheaper. But making a cheaper ebike involves skimping on battery safety, and performance, especially when it comes to the power-to-weight ratio. Right now the safety and performance just costs $$$. The good news is that in around five years the battery tech will be way better, and most likely shave the costs. Hopefully our drivetrain will catch on as well, given how efficient and lightweight it is. If so, that would also drive down the cost.
