Any chance you can go over how to test the Southbridge? I have one with no power and no short and only 1.9v where 3v should be and zero where 1v should be.
It's quite tricky to test the southbridge really because there's a lot of low impedance lines. The best thing to do is probably inject 1 or 2 volts into the 3.3v rail and use a thermal camera to find out what component is pulling down to ground

One question the Xbox I have I connected to the power and without pressing the power button the fan will try to spin and push the power button all the the AZP chip heat up can this problem be the NCP4205?
If all the mosfet drivers are getting hot it does stand a chance that the short is somewhere other than those driver ICs. The best thing to do would be to check the readings of the NCP4205 on all pins and compare them against known good readings. The fan trying to fire up is normal. It's something to do with a self-test on the system I believe
What FLIR camera do you have?? I have the FLIR one pro for the iPhone but I can’t get the heat to line up with the picture . Can you do a video on the FLIR camera and how you set up your one to use and what settings you use please.jay

@@SURGE101 i believe there's an icon on the top right which enables that. The best person to ask for that though is Engineering Scale Models as he has the Flir One thermal camera for iOS

I use a cheap one but it was gifted to me by my old boss (before he turned into an arsehole lol). I'd say pretty much any cheap aliexpress power supply around £50 would do fine to start off with

I had a dead short on my sons xbox one s changed the mosfet and now I have beep on beep off but it don't beep all the time

This is the normal flir one (usb c version). To be honest mine just works out of the box I didn't do anything special to get it working

What could it be if xbox one s beep on beep off... No short on the 12v power rail?... Ram?
It could be a number of things to be honest bud, but the main culprits are ram, apu, power management ic, ram ic or southbridge
