    I bought a Flir a few years ago and it's one of those tools that when you get one you'll always want to have at least one on you at all times. Nice work BTW. Thanks.

    Great video and very well narrated! Super easy to follow. I’m new to iPhone repair and I am at present getting all the kit together to start repairing a few iPhone 5 and 6. I’m looking at DC Power Supply’s and not sure which one to purchase, also is there a table of the correct voltages I should be setting when fault finding using a thermal camera (FLIR One). Really afraid I’m going to fry the board when setting DC power. Your help with this is greatly appreciated, keep up the great work your videos are fantastic! Thanks Harry

    I think I have caused a long screw damage on my iPhone 6+ logic board, is this repairable?

      Apple wants you to throw it away and buy a new one. They do everything possible to impede independent repairmen.

    Hi, I’m Jackson from Indonesia. Really need your help. I accidentally caused short circuit on my iPhone. It was because I disconnected the battery from logic board using metal tool and suddenly there was electric spark. I was really shock, and just put everything back together. Then press the power button, then it showed battery low, before that was around 60% i think. And then I plugged to charge it, my iPhone turned on and the battery back to normal, back to the percentage before I disassembled the battery. And just using it like normal. But I really worry that can the phone causes fire, maybe near the gas? I am worried and really need your explanation. Thank you Sir. Btw sorry for my english 😌

    To test a pcb board with a thermal.camera, does the pcb has to be powered on or by just connectin the charger cable without manually turning on board is enough?

    • @tapiwarwizi8461
      @tapiwarwizi8461 ปีที่แล้ว

      This worked out because the board was heating up. So to utilise the method whatever makes the heat to be aquired...on or off in your case

    Hi sir i have iPhone 6 plus the camera dose not work the problem is not in cam itself the problem is within the motherboard, by the way the flash light dose not work too, how can i fix it?

    • @NorthridgeFix
      @NorthridgeFix  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The how can i fix it question is wrong. What have you tried and what measurements have you done. You need to put some effort into troubleshooting and then ask specific questions. A quick answer to your question would be, look into the camera ic. No one can give you a straight correct answer without troubleshooting and you won't learn anything by getting direct answers :-). Start with the basics

    • @zijiang1239

      Just pull it off and reassembled back and good to go

    • @NorthridgeFix
      @NorthridgeFix  7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      The capacitor can be used to filter signals of different frequencies. I don't see why you would leave it out . Although you may not see any direct effect leaving it out, we do not know what issues you may run into with everyday use. Only took few minutes to replace :-).

      NorthridgeFix wow, keep the good job. Another question, how do you work with only one image in the microscope. I find it very difficult control without knowing depth (stereo microscopes). doesn't it matter to you?

    • @NorthridgeFix
      @NorthridgeFix  7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      You see the same thing on the screen as you would on a stereo microscope. I personally do not like stereo microscopes. I'm more comfortable sitting back on my chair and working while seeing everything around me. Feels more natural, rather then have my eyes shoved in the eye piece for long hours.
