Ironically delicious memory is precisely the one that kills the deck. No reliable access to plump means no ex-noir lol
I ran test games against purr with the new format and it's definitely still possible for them to get into noir, but yeah massively less consistent

I could imagine the was allready taking the new support ito consideration. So while the deck got a lot worse now I would think that with the new support the deck is fine again.

You missed the point on Delicious Memory, it is, by far and without any doubts, the strongest card in the deck because it is the one that summons Plump and Plump is how you get multiple Sleepy Memories underneath your Noir. Without Plump you CANNOT consistently get enough materials to even rank into Happiness going second for OTKs or good Zeus lines nor do main phase Noir. With the DUNE support then yeah, the deck will still do stuff but now? It is pretty much neutered.
Even with the DUNE support the deck will be rogue at best now. It’s pretty much dead

Honestly! The purrely spell they hit was the best one
Because it summoned plump and now you lose access to him. And he was the pilot to noir
you have to put some garbage (burial goods) or other stuff like nimble, but you can still run the deck for sure, even without the new xyz. It's an hard hit but boh... we can accept
Not only that, but it prevents the OTK with Happiness now because Delicious would prevent a monster from being destroyed by battle
The draw from sleep memory is cool, but delicious really hurts, it's the one that enables both the happiness otk and the plump which then enables noir... that limit feels so unwarranted... i'm very happy about the rest of the banlist, but purrely getting this hit and kash only losing diablosis feels so unfair and annoying
I mean Arise to 1 and Unicorn to 2 are good hits. Kashtira isnt as unfair now. But i get your Point, Purrely is live for 3 weeks and gets hit while Kashtira terrorised for months

I'm pretty sure thats why they hit it though. They probably want purrely to be slower and not to just summon a giant ass noire then otk turn 3

Kash will most likely still be the best deck considering arise-heart pass is still enough to kill like 70% of the decks in the game. Still have 3 birth and 3 field spell so Unicorn to 2 doesn't do all that much. It should still be able to end on that board with most of their hands. All this really means is that you still need to draw the out, but if you do draw the out, then Kash will have a much harder time recovering.
Well yeah. The hits are like negligible. They're just not as strong though, where it can't 5-card lock you anymore, and outing Ariseheart literally wins you the game against Kashtira.
Even then. Unicorn and Fenrir alone is a strong enough board half the time.

Honestly I think the deck will be strong but the hits actually hurt more than it might appear. Yes an arise heart pass is strong, but the fact people don’t have to worry about the zone lock stuff means that people don’t have to prepare for that. We’ll be seeing a lot more Kaiju/lava/ Kurikara which otks an arise heart pass.
yes you need to draw the out but you can play much more outs that are good against other decks like Talents and thurst which a good against lab and sometimes purrely

Limiting Gamma kills it for its generic purpose but it is still playable in Psy-frame itself so it was a good limit

The reason it's actually very simple, they are protecting sky striker.
People only ever sided 2 anyways. Generally a useless card going second, especially if the conditions were never met (no backrow, no face-up ATK monsters.

LS is a random hit. If they want to hit a going second blowout card Evenly is the more appropriate hit.

so is lab the best deck now or will to it happen what made altergeist flop so hard after being good once. thanks to it being able to play eradicator and also search it it should have an easier time than geist at least

4:48 Finally a sane response to limiting lightning storm. Either the card is bad, or it automatically wins the game when it resolves, no need for cards like that in the game. Konami still needs to ban the floodgates anyway. About circular... Is still very searchable, mathmech will probably be fine. Rikka, Labrynth and Floowanderezee are probably a bit better with this banlist.
The problem is they can't abuse Circular now. If they are stopped, they are stopped hard.
lightning storm doesn't actually auto win though. Most decks have a gameplan if their board is popped or have a negate for lightning storm.

Going second, LS needs to meet it's conditionals. And in decks with a lot of Backrow, they typically have an answer to something like LS/HFD

Same, I was expecting a limit for soulpiercer at most, since there is kinda a mini game to play in trying to keep piercer in rotation, since its not really viable to errata its lack of HOPT. But no Scarecrow sucks.

Delicious memory is an OTK enabler, Konami wants to hit cards which promote free and easy OTKs so now those decks have to try harder
Question is how much did you "donate" to konami for mathmech to be hit while spright has the second most ycs wins since last list and only got a tiny tap this time. (Joking of course but it's a very biased hit because they are hitting super low rarity decks while decks with a few decent rarities like spright and kash survive)

Delicious is the strongest of the spells…. plump interacts with Sky strikers as well.. takes the spells. They are dictating that strikers become best deck.
Sadly striker by itself quite too slow now for 2023. Idk if u mixed em as engine to other deck tho, but by itself i doubt they pose much problems.

How is Sky Striker supposed to beat Runick Spright Fur Hire and Live Twin Runick Spright?
Board wipes and Widow Anchors. Most Spright variants are also extremely weak to TCBOO while trying to set up, and anyone who tries to use Bystials as an "answer" risks getting them stolen and facing a Chaos Angel impossible to deal with without backrow cards(assuming the turn even passes around before an OTK occurs).
Of course, once both Link 2s come out Spright Striker might actually be the optimal way to play it. OCG Spright lists already run Azalea, and Camelia allows for both additional board disruption and a pivot point for situations where lowmanning is preferable to swarming.

@@apocalipsenearby I think Saryuya + Rescue Ferret does the job. Should be easy enough for most decks. Just comes down to what deck is the most optimal to set this up.
Why would you want to make such a degenerate play that makes the whole feel and state of the game even more so? There's so much variety in terms fun and meaningful archetypal plays you can make with decks like Exosister, Sky Striker and etc., yet people always seem to rally to these generic omni-negate, lock or OTK plays

The one thing i hate , is the fact that we will still have to play agianst iblee and gimmik locks , this banlist dosent resolve this issue , i really hate losing because of locks and not being able to do anything about it

puppet will be harder to summon though, the new fusion that has the same effect as expulsion can't summon from banished, and requires a LIGHT spellcaster, which gimmick puppet (or all the other similar cards) is not, so branded fusion is no longer a 1 card combo to summon it. You need access to both branded fusion and quem/cartesia in your opening hand to do the same lock, and it looses to more things than it did before since albion can't summon from banished like expulsion could.

I was in Nationals yesterday, played at top tables, then got 4 f*cking Mathmech in a row, finished 5-3 bubble... glad that at the Euorpean WCQ we will play with 1 Circ.

@@ddeine_ no, such as seeing your opponent gaining lot of advantage every turn over a single card that is searchable in like trillion ways and generates that much advantage every turn is not really enjoyable. Two different types of pain
@@n3kuzya Literally every single deck in the meta has unfair mechanics that are way worse than Mathmech. Lost the dice roll? Have fun getting puppet locked, dealing with a towers that shuffles all your cards back and get all your zones locked. You just have to be prepared and sometimes you get bad matchups

TCG banlist is quite aggressive and some of them their are copying MD banlist where their ban early new card just release. TCG banlist now is resolved. Next MD banlist, to make it different TCG and OCG kill tearlement early, what their need do is just ban Ishizu card and stein for MD then let tear card with current banlist unchange.
If tear ishizu is banned early they cant sell bystials as much, so doubt

However if their ban all Ishizu card it will make branded deck become tier 1 or possibility tier 0 because branded can abuse tear engine for fusion summon, Making meta shift to branded tear or branded bystial which is also not healthy to be honest. Just wait and see what will happen in upcoming MD banlist.

By my opinion, Purrely and SHS was too strong hit, they have should let to play those decks exist for little longer..
Konami is on pack watch they don't care and the SHS players kept bragging about FTKs online constantly and Konami spun the block on them.

@@andrejv.2834 Actually you could use Denglong as an OTK Tool to make Baxia and search the spell to draw cards. The last time we had Denglong it was used in True King Dinosaur Yang Zing to make Trishula into VFD, but the problem was VFD back then, not the single counter trap + herald this enabled
All spright‘s to zero, Kitkallos 3 and Circular 4. This would be the perfect banlist tbh. Shockmaster to 3 would be the best thing.

Well, the Purrely hit does not kill the best combos the deck has, but it makes it much less flexible and both more reliant on Noir and less likely to get to it turn 1 as Plump is what gives the deck it's turn 1 capabilities and that is now much less accessible. Once DUNE hits the deck will be able to deviate to go wide instead of high with multiple rank 2's, but that is still a massive blow to the deck and for now it reduces it to an OTK machine with reliability issues going first.

@@MadaraUchiha-wf4iv Herald is made by Denglong dumping Chiwen in your turn and ss Bi'an from deck after being destroyed by the nine pillars' eff. Anyway it has to do something with the tenys, Adhara is the only way to make Denglong for swordsoul
