@@jinkisaragi874 Well that is kind of true, there are mobile games that were only released in japan and one of them is a direct sequel to SMt 1 I believe where he attacks god for not being lawful basically kind of a crazy story because that would make him the most lawful demon ever lol. But he is nuetral depending on your path in certain portions of that story. Wish we could get those English games patched and emulated.

Play smt devil summoner soul hackers; the major deities in that game are based on native American mythology, I believe. At the very least the most important one is.

What iam trying to say is that iam dying to try all of these games out. And its not like iam a bloke that just meh graphics old ... next! Noooo! not at all. I find that graphics that are old are beeming with culture and history of the era it was made in, so you can actually loose yourself in the limits of older technology and software. Its great for the nostalgic mind and heart. But its a true battle to reach the summit were you can enjoy to the vast limit of infinity
I highly recommend people play the recently translated GBA version if you’re trying to get into the series or play older games. Fixes some of these issues and is a smoother play, from what I’ve seen of the SNES version.
I played this game for the history lesson. Hated it. Heard smt 2 was better. Hated it too. Still Respect both games for being corner stones of the birth of my favorite game series ever. Moral of story don't feel bad if you can't get into older smt games.
I know right. I've been picking up and putting down this game and cant bring myself to finish it. I love the atmosphere and graphics, but the gameplay is so clunky and complex, and there is so much stuff that is not explained, the menu is not friendly at all, and navigation is retarded.

I hate the design of most first person environments not only do they not even look like what they're supposed to be for example the mall with the Café at the beginning, their design is so bland and empty that you easily run in circles in places that aren't even dungeons for example the mall the beginning
The disco in shinjuku didn't even remotely look like a disco and neither the Café nor the bar in shinjuku look like their a Café/ bar its so hard to immerse in a world where almost everything is only recognizable via optional npc dialog. I could walk into a daycare and i wouldn't recognize it as such because its like every other building a labyrint even tho it makes no sense to be like this and it also uses the same ugly environment textures every other building and dungeon uses but instead its like green

Yeah my brother and I own quite a number of SMT games but have yet to play. I have Nocturne, Digital Devil Saga 1 and 2. A few others on the DS that I can't remember the names of. Not sure when I'll ever play them. RPGs isn't exactly my genre of choice.

I'd try the PS1 ver, the snes is nice but slow it seems. However, i do know the SNES ver does work

Strange Journey has completely different combat mechanics. I think Soul Hackers is better. The gameplay mechanics are more similar to smt1.

I quit this game after not being able to unequip the cursed weapon, and as far as I know, there is no way to fix it.
You have to go to a shrine and remove the curse, then sell that shitty weapon
