- This is a Challenge Run to complete Fable Using only what we can find within demon doors, that means
- No access to shops or merchants
- No access to dig up any weapons or armour.
- Only use what we can find within Demon Doors
What makes this even tougher is that it looks like we cant even get into every Demon door, as they require us to gain loot outside of them which is just abhorrent and not allowed!

Oh man the story you came up with for the main character was gold. The rage of revenge and then calming down after achieving his goal. The visual of the cloak turning red when killing briar rose was also brilliant. Didn't expect to laugh this much on a one of these challenge videos.

Fable TLC is the greatest Fable game. I sunk 100s of hours into this game as a kid! This brings back such good memories Chicken Chaser

Love how you found so many synonyms for “demon door”
Technically the Old Graveyard Path, Circle of the Dead, Cliff Side Path, Underground Passage and Bargate Prison are inside a Demon door, so all those items are fair game.
I considered that, which is why I could get my equipment back, I was going to grab the extra resurrection vial if I got super stuck
Technically the whole world is behind a demon door if you defeat Thunder for Lady Grey.

@@sirrando Yeah you would have to buy a black rose to get to that door. However you are already behind that door at the beginning of the game... But that spoils the spirit of the thing.

I know, but from what maze said to us (and from the perspective of the hero) thats what he thought at the time (Or so I thought)

I used to be a huge fan of this game. Played it for years on my Xbox and kept creating new saves the moment one story was done. I even reached the point where I could fully lipsync the npc's knowing what they would say.
As a kid I always thought the game ended after your first Jack's battle. So I only get to beat the dragon when they release the anniversary. I sadly also never figured out a way to take the Ice golem quest in Hookcoast. Other than that.. this game is such a treasured memory for me :)
The ice golem quest you see at the beginning of the game is not able to be taken, briar rose is supposed to take it. and its been tried getting enough reknown nothing happens.
Also worth noting, you are correct with the first jack battle being the end. On the original Xbox release that was the case. the following year they released Fable: The Lost Chapters on PC and Xbox where it had this additional content

the xbox og release had a ton of weird n random bugs, like the troll quest being available at the begging of the game...but only the beginning, had tried to get the exp but kept progressing the story by mistake
Fable is such a good (and broken in many ways) game, i remember doing the money exploit and it's crazy they didn't find that one lol or maybe they found it but didn't bother fixing it before release... anyway, this was a marvelous video. I'm glad the algorithm gave you a boost with the MGS3 challenge last time.

I swear I must have beaten Fable and Fable TLC well over 100 times on the original xbox,
evil, good, neutral, naked, naked with a ginger wig, unarmed, will only, pan only, stick only, bow only, summon only, no leveling, max level before the wasp queen, no potions or food, unaliving whisper, sparing whisper, unaliving theresa, sparing theresa, "taking care" of Lady Grey, "taking care"(wink) of Lady Grey, siding with jack, giving jack a lava bath, unaliving everyone, unaliving only quest enemies, and likely most other variations you could name, except, funny enough, demon door loot only, which is why I clicked into the video in the first place, which brings me to the point of this comment.

Great video, every once in a while through the years I'm always up for some Fable, but i never knew that you could parry the golems projectiles wow!
Fable is a great video game, absolutely one i have a lot of happy memories playing when I was younger.
Parrying projectiles is something i accidentally figured out accidentally back in thee day, going to the arena for the 2nd time when you have to fight minions and trolls at the same time (for the arena soul), and just so happened to hit them back at the trolls
@@sirrando definitely agree, growing up I saw more of its shortcomings and I wished the sequels went in a different direction, but I still can't help being happy thinking about it and getting the urge to play TLC again from time to time.

Hey, really enjoying the editing on this video especially the Phoenix Wright music! That was an amazing touch. Some of the best videos on youtube ive seen have sections with background music from amazing soundtracks. Keep using this technique in your videos please! I am a huge fan of music from the sonic games, the mario kart series, and games like that for background music, but anything that is a jam would work! If you'd like me to link my personal playlist that has a huge number of recommendations I can do that as well!

In the battle with the stone trolls, there is another way to avoid damage if you run in a small circle. Thus, you can wait for an attack from Whisper or sometimes counterattack. If you're lucky, you can survive without taking damage for up to a few minutes)
This method was found when trying to complete the game "without magic and without taking damage", by the way, it is possible to do this, provided that saving between tasks is allowed.

1. Combat Multiplyer door? Back then i just killed my way up and down the stairs till my modifiert was around 25 then i got to the door killed the Hobbs and got entry.... your way is so much better lol.
2. The fireball trick is just amazing.
Edit: With the trolls. Hide behind one of them so the ranged attacks from the other hits the back of the one near you... profit :)

Wellows pick was always my first destination after leaving the guild, just keep trying the travelling traders in the next map over until one has crunchy chicks you can eat in front of the door
Yeah the cutlass was also an easy pick as soon as the troll starts popping up there. Just charge a bow up around the corner for a few minutes to one-shot it and immediately have enough to get the door open
They are basically what I would do in most casual playthroughs. Solid strats
