Always loved the Johto lore and how it took a backseat. Fractured stories of old that have some level of creative interpreting. For example, did Lugia create the storm that resulted in the burned tower? What were the beasts before their demise? It’s somewhat up to player interpretation. The new games tend to beat you over the head with absolutely insane lore like Necrozma eating the sun or constant references to Kyogre and Groudon’s battle that almost destroyed the world. The newer legendaries tend to feel like they aren’t as organically integrated into the region and legends like Dialga and Palkia feel absolutely ridiculous to capture. Ho-oh is known to appear before trainers with a pure heart. I can’t imagine some kid forcibly capturing the god of space.
Gen 2 (and the remakes by extension of course) just felt like a really pure-hearted attempt to give fans of the Gen 1 games more of what they loved. Alot of the flaws people find in it came about because of this. Stuff like the rarity of Gen 2 pokemon. The fact that there were 150(+1) pokemon was marketed heavily with the first release and became iconic. They wanted finding a new species to be a cool, somewhat hidden fun discovery. They also didn't want to completely replace people's old favorites with a whole new pokedex (something they dropped in Gen 3)
Playing through it right now, just got the eight gym badge, I’m terrible with concentration and didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as when I was a kid, but it still holds up. One of the best games ever
To challenge lance I had to get my level 30 gayarados to lvl 50+ for a chance. Only way I gigured was trough wild pokemon, took me like 8 hours I wanted to use a dragonite but to get that unevolved lvl 16 pokemon up to par was just too much for me
Love the shoutout at the beginning to the atmosphere of the Pokemon fandom at the time of these games' release. I remember walking with a friend of mine when she turned to me and said "Did you hear they're doing remakes of Silver and Gold?" I stared at her, my mouth hanging open in shock. "No way. I don't believe you." "Yeah. They're going to be on the DS." We were THRILLED. Everyone at my high school was walking around with Pokewalkers. We were ecstatic over the follow Pokemon, the added features like the Safari Zone, and there was just this atmosphere of Poke-joy that I had not experienced since being a TRULY little kid, and didn't experience again until X and Y. As an adult, I honestly get to connect with my friends more over Pokemon than I did as a kid. But with the quality of the games, the atmosphere just isn't there. I hope GameFreak turns it around and gives us a title like HGSS again.
Pokémon Soulsilver was my very first Pokémon game with Cyndaquil being my very first starter. I probably dumped well over 2000 hours into that thing playing that game constantly as a kid lol This video hit me right in the nostalgia and is making me wanna pick up the game again and train up some new Pokémon to take on the league with 😎😊👍
I never connected more to an ending of a video than "They are the greatest, but they aren't my favorites" with the reveal being you prefer Black and White. This whole video is so true.
Except they are definitely not the greatest. BW2 are objectively the best main series games. Personally, I also prefer BW1, Platinum, and HGSS to BW2, but BW2 are the best crafted games.
My personal favorite is Platinum, but if someone says HGSS is the best I'll just say "yeah, you're probably right." Pt's battle frontier is awesome but HGSS has TWO regions to go through so it evens out.
Just the nostalgia of it is what gets me my favorites in general are Black and White but spent a lot of time in Gen 4 for sure. Thanks for watching though I appreciate it!!!!!!!
Hands down the best games in the series. Having the incredible ds graphics at the time with the return to kanto, it was so damn good. It’s something that I want to replay at 24 years old.
tbf by that point in the game it expects u to understand its mechanics u can outplay the cpu with a balanced team and complete the daily challenges gold and and silver are true rpgs @@staringcorgi6475
@@staringcorgi6475 It is grindy and it doesn't make it garbage but it does bring down the game. Grinding is bad. Period. It's a clear sign of bad RPG design. If the enemy is so artificially difficult due to how high it's levels are that you're forced to do this repetitive task of KOing low level enemies to progress that's not good. Also no. HGSS as well as GSC aren't the greatest games. Story is unfinished, level progression is terrible, team building options are limited, and most of these issues are barely addressed nor fixed in HGSS. They're not bad games but they're pretty mid.
I feel that we are kindred spirits. I loved these games back in the day, and the DS era was so phenomenal, from the art style to the music. I feel some very real nostalgic pains knowing that the days when these games were relevant lies nearly 15 years in the past. It hurts me to feel this nostalgia, but videos like these help me re-appreciate those times again. And yes I had a pokewalker!
I just fixed an old copy of Soul Silver that was just in my house as a kid(no idea how I got it maybe a friend brought it over?) But I wasnt spending $130 a 10+ year old game. I'd purchase all gen 2 games for $100 back in January of 2021 and played through Johto for the first time on the Gameboy Color. But I never played the remake, Apparently the best pokemon experience. So I cleaned it up enough to play it but every now and then I need to clean it again. And I enjoyed playing through it, I love Pokemon following me, the camera man taking pictures of my team and seeing there growth, and therea so much I still need to do. Ive been busy with work so I'm halfway through Kanto. But I'm excited to catch all the legendaries fill out the dex if I ever have a few days off. I also love transferring pokemon from Gen 3 to Gen 4 games and its awesome seeing my Hoenn team in a new region, and yes I got them all the way to Home.
Finally someone says what I have been thinking all the time. After the 4th generation, GameFreak has released only a few Pokemons with good design. The last game in the series that I consider successful is the X & Y series. But GameFreak really created perfection with the remake of HG & SS. To personally complete and honor this era, I tried to get a 5-star trainer pass on SS. I managed 4, but failed so many times with the 5th star that I let it go. Note: For the 5th star you have to win 100 duels in a row in the Duel Tower. My record was just under 60.
As a man who likes to snort evs like booger sugar, the grind is fine by me, and i regularly comeback as heart gold still holds my goodies from the action replay days.
Damn bro. I really enjoy your style. I havent yet seen your other videos, but i feel like your content deserves a waaaay way bigger audience. You definitely got the charisma for it.
I agree, it was always weird to me how they removed walking with your pokemon, and I wouldnt be as upset with having endgame dlc, if there was a f2p end game as well, nintendo thinking theyre slick shipping 50% of their games does my head in, they're like 10 years behind the rest of the gaming industry, give it 10 years, we'll go through the live serivce pokemon game era and end up in the era where the games might actually be good again, but they end up blowing up your nintendo swap
There’s a lot of stuff you could do about the leveling, and honestly you don’t need anything other than a lvl 60 typhlosion to clean sweep the e4 first round. I really enjoyed the leveling in hgss more than in other games, since you actually had to level past level 60 to do cooler stuff (red’s pkmn were in the 80’s). The worst leveling by far was in the original black and white games. I somehow got stuck on Cheren on vic road with incredibly underleveled pokemon. Problem is that I was actively trying to level. There’s just too many features that ended up making things slower, like rotation battles and no incentive to grind levels until e4.
"Lot of stuff you can do about the leveling". Ok, give suggestions to how you can have a team of 6 pokemon, without havign to grind for hours between each gym. "All you need is a lvl 60 typhlosion" Overleveling is cringe as fuck. I'm not challenging the elite 4 with anything above level 50, that's for sure. And how do you struggle with getting from level 42 to level 45 for the Cheren battle? You should already be at that level, and unless you suck at the game, beating him with level 40 pokemon shouldn't be that difficult to begin with
HGSS IMO are the best remakes period because they improved on the core game, but didn't lose its spirit. Unfortunately, I think thats something we're unlikely to see again, because I don't see this is something a 2d or 2.5d game translates into 3d.
there is 3types of ytb content: low quality content that most of time get little to no attention, indistrual content that get alot of attention but die fast and finally, very good content that get not enough attention, like yours
i wish i could agree. ive always liked HGSS as well as the gen 5 games. but gen 4, including HGSS is so slow, your best tms aren't available until late in the game or after a lot of grinding coins, ou can't just buy coins like in platinum either. HGSS are amazing games that i replay every few years if only to have my pokemon following me again or to play the pokeathalon. but BW/BW2 takes everything Gen 4 brought us and expanded on it; the game is faster, we don't have to wait until the very end of the game just for thunderbolt cause its actually part of the moveset for your electric types, its still a huge world to explore with a strong story... plus it has a sequel that gives you some additional features if you pair your games together. the level gaps are weird in HGSS that aren't present in platinum and its a lot harder to grind. ive never lost to a gym leader or elite four in these regions aside from once recently but while it feels like the game is harder due to the level curves... it's really just tedious. not everyone enjoys grinding for hours. gen 5 improved what gen 4 gave us and made the games faster. i don't want to wait 100 days or more just for pokemon in the safari zone. i don't want to wait until kanto just to use new pokemon (granted the safari zone in the remake somewhat fixed that issue) where black and white and especially black and white 2 had pokemon everywhere; BW2 did it right by giving us a ton of encounters old and new in the same route without waiting until post game for the new pokemon. imo gen 5 is peak pokemon, especially playing BW2 but i have friends who like the tedious, grindy fourth gen. there is still something to love, but i would pick gen 5 over it any way, until it came to the pokeathalon-- i love those mini games! i have a lot of love for HGSS and its a journey that gets me every time. but gen 5 is a much more tolerable experience and grinding is still rewarding in the end. both games are great, i just personally prefer the faster, less tedious gen 5 overall. but i can't stop returning to HGSS or carrying my pokewalker around... cause despite all of my gripes, these games are just addicting to play and i have a memorable experience every time i play. the atmosphere and the environment is hard not to come back to NGL if HGSS were made in gen 5's era... they'd be perfect games.
The slow leveling is what saved it for me. I enjoy GSC over the remakes. Crystal shiny sprites are insanely good and i cant stop chasing those little dopamine hits.
Amazing games. I didn’t even mind the leveling curve because it felt as unforgiving as I’d expect this world to be rather than tailored to the player. My one complaint that goes for all Gen 4 games is speed. Waiting for the health bars to drop _every single turn_ is pain, and I’m thrilled that this was fixed in Black and White.
Pretty good and concise analysis of these games. I was actually replaying these games on my phone with an emulator not too long ago. Emphasis on was. Why? Well....I lost my phone while traveling. I really wish I could get it back, simply because I was so close to beating the postgame and only had a few more battles and objectices to complete, including beating Red. But I did have fun still. I was never a fan of Johto as a kid, never grew up with it, my first venture into the series was through Gen 3, more specifically FRLG and Emerald. The first time I played Johto was in HGSS a good few years ago, and while I did like it and did beat Lance, I didn't bother with the postgame. But I also played Gold and later Crystal, and I actually ended up beating Red in Crystal as I enjoyed it, surprisingly enough. I gave HGSS another shot, thinking I'd enjoy it too. And I did. I do agree with the flaws you presented however. And that's why I don't think these games are Peak Pokemon, they're still great, most certainly A Tier for me, but still. I think that title belongs to BW2, but my personal favorite is still Emerald beause of nostalgia. You probably won't read this, but if you do, I'd be happy as I went on quite a tangent lmao. But anyways, great review, as I said previously.
the only downside of these games is that you need to grind alot in jotoh if you dont want to use legendaries ( if you play normally without skipping any trainer you get to the league with pokemon between lvl 35 and 45
I have not played these games in YEARS and I think it is time to go buy a new ds and play them right MEOW!! These games are amazing and I have so many good memories with my buddies playing these games.
finally someone who gets it. HGSS was my first game; introduction into the mainline games. started playing in 2012 (I'm 20 now for reference lol) HGSS is so great compared to that previous ones before it. not only are there DPPt flairs since its also gen 4, I like how they kept all the spects about the original in it but with the gen 4 kick, better graphics and more pokemon. the battle frontier is probably the best along with the gym/elite 4/champion rematches but Red as well. everything about it is amazing and so well done and there's tons to do and stuff to wait for. they had a ton of gift and event pokemon but I wasn't playing then to experience them, but I've seen clips. I've studied this game and know everything about it, it means so much to me and I love seeing others love it just as much as I do. great video
I missed this game so bad that i literally discovered it like a week ago 💀 Im being honest a week ago Knowing about Pokemons and shi I wishh i discovered it sooner lol
I never noticed a levelling gap, and I played through both hg and ss back to back when they came out (yes I had two poke walkers and loved the shit outta them) Probably cause I really loved rebattling trainers, and I only have a team of 6 at max, which isn't what everyone does I've learnt now.
I grew up with Pokémon Silver with my Game boy color, and it came with a bundle with the strategy guide. Wore out said Game boy. Then when I heard that they came out with a remake, I jumped right on it. I was not disappointed. In fact I have a dual screen phone now, and I can run the DS emulator on it and guess what I have on it? Soul Silver.
I got my ex into handheld Pokemon after her being obsessed with PokemonGo. She played Sun and loved it. Got farther in it than I did. So I got her SS, my favorite one. She played it for 15 minutes before saying the sprites looked ugly...I was never more disappointed in a person.
I do t diasagree with your problem but I have to say I enjoyed the levelling grind found it fun and made the game difficult I use to enjoy rematching the elite 4
My first experience with Pokemon is with Silver, although I never beat the game, only getting to the 7th gym, one day I would like to beat that game (and every mainline game, including their enhancements and remakes and dlc)
This is a 1mill subs quality video! Really enjoyed it :D I'm an old school casual who havent played anything past platinum, so I'm looking forward to trying out heart gold very soon :D
I remember when I beat soulsilvers champion the first time and I put the game down for awhile then I decided that I’d give it another go and discovered the ja to region. I was ecstatic
It’s hard to make leveling fair because there’s two regions and 8 gym leaders in Johto then you gotta go to Kanto and beat those gym leaders too. So they try to make you not so over leveled.
Last Pokémon game I played was gold in 2000. Here I am 2023 later looking for best Pokémon game that’s not too old like gold and the OG colors. I’m going to start this one, a lot of articles said heartgold and sold sliver is the best game and it’s right in the middle of not too new but not too old. What do you guys think?
I keep saying it on the internet but the only thing that would make HeartGold SoulSilver better is including the Sevii Islands. They should have been where the the two eevee evo-rocks were found and the rocket warehouse/hideout is where pokemon that needed mount coronet energy could evolve.
I remember my heart gold copy got destroyed. It fell behind a cabinet and someone pushed that cabinet against the wall. I still have my soul silver though.
Pokemon games on the DS and GBA were so much fun. As soon as sun and moon hit the timeline it became stale which is insane because we have the best game features to create something spectacular instead we get mid thats playable the first week then off to the trash can
As someone playing soulsilver as we speak, this video is 1000% accurate. The grind is TERRIBLE. Granted I'm trying to relatively level a select team of like 10 different types (in case I ever meet someone irl who wants to battle ever again lul), but I'm even focusing on the core team for the 2nd elite four run is just rough.
6:35 this is actually something I prefer from the originals. There was a greater level of mystique to the legendaries early on and it fit their nature as these elusive creatures you question even existed. You wanted to know about them? You seek them out like Eusine seeks out Suicune.
Played red and blue, and then yellow when it came out. Was 9 or 10. Then I played gold n silver and that’s about where I fell off the train. Really itching to play the remakes! Where can I do that?
The first ever game i ever bought from my own money was Heart Gold. It set my Gaming Standards in so many ways and i'm currently really depressed, that i dont have it anymore.
My first game when I got my new DSi was pokemon black! black/white and their counterparts will always be my favorites but now playing through hgss with my girlfriend is so much fun (ho-oh ftw) I can see why they are the favorites of so many other people. Incredibly well made storywise.
ah dude I'm replaying HGSS for the first time in a while and I definitely forgot just how grindy these games really are, especially the 15 - 30 level bracket. And like everything has sleep status moves like hypnosis and it's a pain in the ass to grind. Still really nice to put on a movie or a video and grind out some levels to keep your mons up to snuff though
Gen 2 and 3 and their remakes are my favourites. Biggest complaint about gen 2 is the bad trainer levels. Battles are so easy Regarding post content in alola....it actually had some secret stuff to discover like little mini quests and cutscenes to encounter ^^
Thanks for pointing out the leveling. Because even if HGSS are peak Pokémon games, the leveling is painful. I mean if you have 5 or 6 Pokémon that you equally train (not just starter and legendary duo), you simply will have a hard time. From lvl 41 in the last arena to lvl 50 Pokémon league to level 80 Red? That grind is to much and I thankfully defeated red with lvl 60 Pokémon.
ALL I WISH. Is for Nintendo to re-release a polished DS. Just the good ole DS nothin else. This way they can go back to the nostalgic pixel look, music sound, and just overall feel. I miss the ole days
My only complaint is I can't grind all my pokemon one by one as an adult. I need exp share for all my team. I dont have much time to play like in the past. the new entries spoiled me.

The GBC, GBA and DS era's were peek Pokemon imo.
Not just pokemon. DS/Wii era was peak Nintendo.

But trying to find a new species or at least a variety of pokemkn in gen 2 isn't fun (apart from crystal)...
Playing through it right now, just got the eight gym badge, I’m terrible with concentration and didn’t expect to enjoy it as much as when I was a kid, but it still holds up. One of the best games ever
To challenge lance I had to get my level 30 gayarados to lvl 50+ for a chance.
Only way I gigured was trough wild pokemon, took me like 8 hours
I wanted to use a dragonite but to get that unevolved lvl 16 pokemon up to par was just too much for me
Love the shoutout at the beginning to the atmosphere of the Pokemon fandom at the time of these games' release. I remember walking with a friend of mine when she turned to me and said "Did you hear they're doing remakes of Silver and Gold?" I stared at her, my mouth hanging open in shock.
"No way. I don't believe you."
"Yeah. They're going to be on the DS."
We were THRILLED.
Any pokemon game where you could walk alongside your pokemon is goat
Except bdsp
Pokémon Soulsilver was my very first Pokémon game with Cyndaquil being my very first starter. I probably dumped well over 2000 hours into that thing playing that game constantly as a kid lol This video hit me right in the nostalgia and is making me wanna pick up the game again and train up some new Pokémon to take on the league with 😎😊👍
Do it.
Hgss has the same battle frontier
The problem with having 2 regions is that Kanto is completely neutered, and Johto is not a very well designed region to begin with.
The only thing missing from gen 2, is secret bases
Hands down the best games in the series. Having the incredible ds graphics at the time with the return to kanto, it was so damn good. It’s something that I want to replay at 24 years old.
im 24 and im replaying it now lol

Just got soul silver on ds. I’m 24 too
This would be a 10/10 if it didn’t take 10 years to grind but it felt like it was worth it
Turning battle animations off helps alot with making grinding much easier. I always do that if I am trying to grind in Pokemon games.
@@GoyimFlatEarther it’s still grindy regardless but that doesn’t mean it it’s garbage infact it’s one of the greatest pokemon games ever 9/10

@@Sacred_Sword it’s expected for rpgs to be grindy with that logic it’s bad for a mario party game to not be 100% skill based

Pokewalker FTW!
Last generation I truly enjoyed even as a young adult . Nostalgic and still innovative. Nowadays it’s dumbed down and pay to win .
How tf is it pay to win? I get dumbed down (the only gen that REALLY suffers from that is gen 7 though.)
@@joaks1969I think he means the DLCs
I played Gold and Silver back in the day on my Gameboy. Never had a DS and when emulation finally came to the iPhone. I am blown away.
The only problems is the level problem by the time I was at the elite 4 my team was mid to low 40 or high 30s
FireRed, LeafGreen, HeartGold, SoulSilver, all PEAK Pokemon. It'll never get better.
He did chikorita dirty at 3:08 and im lovin' it
I loved sapphire, ruby and Emerald on the gameboy advanced. Great times. I was probably 11 years old
As a man who likes to snort evs like booger sugar, the grind is fine by me, and i regularly comeback as heart gold still holds my goodies from the action replay days.
They are the greatest. Im over 100 hours in on Heart Gold and have a shiny Donphan I caught while grinding for the elite four.
Everything with Nintendo and industry rn you are 100% correct about. It’s honestly infuriating haha.
You got a free lucky egg. That shouldve helped. In Every playthrough ive had on BW, i always ended up right about as strong as the E4
Damn, that was very enjoyable to watch, the editing is very good and all the puns are, well... funny
very high quality for a smaller channel!
Well, I completed them not too long ago now. Ferls good to see this video again.
I love my gen z friends geeking out about these oldish games... first taste of nostalgia 😂
9:33 although I agree, I do like the original cave theme much more than the remake. Awesome video man. This deserves way more views IMO.
Idk if it was just me but goldenrod cities music just brought me to a happy place it’s so nice to listen to and to think goldenrod is home to Whitney😒
i wish i could agree. ive always liked HGSS as well as the gen 5 games. but gen 4, including HGSS is so slow, your best tms aren't available until late in the game or after a lot of grinding coins, ou can't just buy coins like in platinum either. HGSS are amazing games that i replay every few years if only to have my pokemon following me again or to play the pokeathalon. but BW/BW2 takes everything Gen 4 brought us and expanded on it; the game is faster, we don't have to wait until the very end of the game just for thunderbolt cause its actually part of the moveset for your electric types, its still a huge world to explore with a strong story... plus it has a sequel that gives you some additional features if you pair your games together. the level gaps are weird in HGSS that aren't present in platinum and its a lot harder to grind. ive never lost to a gym leader or elite four in these regions aside from once recently but while it feels like the game is harder due to the level curves... it's really just tedious. not everyone enjoys grinding for hours. gen 5 improved what gen 4 gave us and made the games faster.
i don't want to wait 100 days or more just for pokemon in the safari zone. i don't want to wait until kanto just to use new pokemon (granted the safari zone in the remake somewhat fixed that issue) where black and white and especially black and white 2 had pokemon everywhere; BW2 did it right by giving us a ton of encounters old and new in the same route without waiting until post game for the new pokemon.
imo gen 5 is peak pokemon, especially playing BW2 but i have friends who like the tedious, grindy fourth gen. there is still something to love, but i would pick gen 5 over it any way, until it came to the pokeathalon-- i love those mini games! i have a lot of love for HGSS and its a journey that gets me every time. but gen 5 is a much more tolerable experience and grinding is still rewarding in the end. both games are great, i just personally prefer the faster, less tedious gen 5 overall. but i can't stop returning to HGSS or carrying my pokewalker around... cause despite all of my gripes, these games are just addicting to play and i have a memorable experience every time i play. the atmosphere and the environment is hard not to come back to
NGL if HGSS were made in gen 5's era... they'd be perfect games.
Waiting for the health bars to drop _every single turn_ is pain, and I’m thrilled that this was fixed in Black and White.
pokemmo is the #1 way to play pokemon in 2024.
13:27 I’m subbing bc brooo same here . Heart gold is one of the best games Pokemon has ever made , but Pokémon w/b will always be my favorite .
I feel like this was the start of the peak with black and white holding the standard both games
the only downside of these games is that you need to grind alot in jotoh if you dont want to use legendaries ( if you play normally without skipping any trainer you get to the league with pokemon between lvl 35 and 45
😭😭i have
Level 48 lugia and level 53 typlosion that's all i have
I have not played these games in YEARS and I think it is time to go buy a new ds and play them right MEOW!!
These games are amazing and I have so many good memories with my buddies playing these games.
finally someone who gets it. HGSS was my first game; introduction into the mainline games. started playing in 2012 (I'm 20 now for reference lol)
HGSS is so great compared to that previous ones before it. not only are there DPPt flairs since its also gen 4, I like how they kept all the spects about the original in it but with the gen 4 kick, better graphics and more pokemon. the battle frontier is probably the best along with the gym/elite 4/champion rematches but Red as well.
everything about it is amazing and so well done and there's tons to do and stuff to wait for. they had a ton of gift and event pokemon but I wasn't playing then to experience them, but I've seen clips.
I've studied this game and know everything about it, it means so much to me and I love seeing others love it just as much as I do. great video
I missed this game so bad that i literally discovered it like a week ago 💀
Im being honest a week ago
Knowing about Pokemons and shi
I wishh i discovered it sooner lol
I never noticed a levelling gap, and I played through both hg and ss back to back when they came out (yes I had two poke walkers and loved the shit outta them)
Probably cause I really loved rebattling trainers, and I only have a team of 6 at max, which isn't what everyone does I've learnt now.
Your production quality and charisma where on point. Loved the vid 👍🏻
It’s as if this man and I had the same childhood
Amen, 2004
I grew up with Pokémon Silver with my Game boy color, and it came with a bundle with the strategy guide. Wore out said Game boy. Then when I heard that they came out with a remake, I jumped right on it. I was not disappointed. In fact I have a dual screen phone now, and I can run the DS emulator on it and guess what I have on it? Soul Silver.
A wonderful love letter to all fans. That's what those two incredible remakes are.
I hit Bronzong 10 years ago and it’s HP bar is still falling.
I hope your channel grows fast man, you are clearly a talented video maker! I love your content, keep it up.
Thanks for watching man!!!
Dude! I didn’t even notice his subs u til I saw this comment, subbed instantly but jeez you are severely underrated
It didn't so far :(
My first experience with Pokemon is with Silver, although I never beat the game, only getting to the 7th gym, one day I would like to beat that game (and every mainline game, including their enhancements and remakes and dlc)
This is a 1mill subs quality video! Really enjoyed it :D I'm an old school casual who havent played anything past platinum, so I'm looking forward to trying out heart gold very soon :D
I’ve been play Pokémon since red & blue and while I love the originals fire red and heart gold soul silver are my favorites
Meanwhile pokemon black and white 2: "Am i a joke to you??" 😢☠️ 🗿🗿🍷🗿🗣🛐🫨🛐🐐🗣💯💯🔥
Pokemon pearl was ny first ever game back when i was a child. I enjoyed it alot but i still think heartgold and soulsilver are the best.
I'm glad to see someone loves old pokemon games even tho I got ORAS ultra Moon and ultra Sun
Thank you for this video sir this video is cool 😊
I keep saying it on the internet but the only thing that would make HeartGold SoulSilver better is including the Sevii Islands. They should have been where the the two eevee evo-rocks were found and the rocket warehouse/hideout is where pokemon that needed mount coronet energy could evolve.
now if only they'd re-release this on switch or something
i feel like i got rolled out when i heard MILTANK OF DEATH
Black and White 2 are at the very top of my list for best Pokemon games but Heart Gold/Soul Silver comes up right after those.
Pepperidge farm remembers Pokepark
Also, great video! Super underrated.
Played red and blue, and then yellow when it came out. Was 9 or 10. Then I played gold n silver and that’s about where I fell off the train. Really itching to play the remakes! Where can I do that?
This is such a good video, why is this not more popular?
The first ever game i ever bought from my own money was Heart Gold. It set my Gaming Standards in so many ways and i'm currently really depressed, that i dont have it anymore.
You know you can easily play it for free on your phone or pc with an emulator?
First Pokémon I brought with my money was soul silver lol
Soul Silver is what I played growing up on the ds. It really is the best Pokemon game ever made
You sir have earned yourself a subscriber with this amazing and delightful video so thank you for the entertainment
My first game when I got my new DSi was pokemon black! black/white and their counterparts will always be my favorites but now playing through hgss with my girlfriend is so much fun (ho-oh ftw) I can see why they are the favorites of so many other people. Incredibly well made storywise.
Bro you get it, soulsilver and heartgold ar e the best. But black and white are the favs 👏👏👏
I wish they'd make one more remake that is just the first 4 regions in one game
That’d be so sick
ah dude I'm replaying HGSS for the first time in a while and I definitely forgot just how grindy these games really are, especially the 15 - 30 level bracket. And like everything has sleep status moves like hypnosis and it's a pain in the ass to grind. Still really nice to put on a movie or a video and grind out some levels to keep your mons up to snuff though
I guess ive outgrown Pokemon games. I cant seem to get into SoulSilver no matter how much i try. Couldn't finish yellow version, either.
I can't believe it was obama!!!
Gen 2 and 3 and their remakes are my favourites.
Biggest complaint about gen 2 is the bad trainer levels. Battles are so easy
Regarding post content in alola....it actually had some secret stuff to discover like little mini quests and cutscenes to encounter ^^
So underrated for sure on this videos and the gen 2 remakes
