HOT ROD Drag Week 2011, The Whole Story

- HOT ROD Drag Week is the event that takes street racers to five races at four drag strips in five days, and the cars are required to drive on the highway from track to track with no support vehicles. In 2011, Drag Week went 1,260 mile from Topeka, Kansas, to Great Bend, Kansas; Amarillo, Texas; Tulsa, Oklahoma; and back to Topeka. The only reason I mentioned it, is becuase a few years ago, a good friend of mine had a 1963 International Scout as his daily driver.
He didn't have windshield wipers on it, becuase it actually didn't come with any. The windshield is one of the "Safari" types that folds fully forward. This is how it came from the factory.
At any rate, he got pulled over and cited for not having wipers. He should have fought that in court. I would have.

@xbengermanx Its part of the action of the rev limiter - its sort of misfiring/ not firing at a pre-set RPM to stop revs climbing any higher - the pops are unburnt fuel igniting.

Ur magazine has been n my FAMILIES' life for decade's. Love the layouts still and HOT paint jobs on them VEHICLE'S. But to much wear n tear on them machines driving then draging.
Nothing can top drag week, unless someone creates and event that requires you to drive 2000 miles but everyone would see that as a rip off of Hotrods event. Drag week is the most legit event, hands down. Props to them for thiking of it first. I can't wait to get the issue in the mail.
