It's not really a track, you just have to follow the rock shore from Maloney's bay to here. goo.gl/maps/YaUf7Nsjnt2m61hq9 If you are going to try it with all the gear it can be a challenging walk and climb. The PFD is an NRS chinook It's a kayaking one but has an open back meaning you dont get too hot in the foam and I feel foam is superior to inflatable. I chose this one specifically because many rock fishing or kayaking ones are not certified in NSW (even though they are of great quality lo-cab, shimano etc.).
@@naokoktm NRS chinook. My opinion is that it is a bit bulky, but will save your life. it has all the correct certifications for NSW rock fishing and kayaking. the pockets are OK, and it has a radio slot which I use when I take a 2 way.
Do you find the Demonblood 832 long enough on the rocks? I am saving up for the 932 or 963 version. FYI I am about to place an order for both the types of jigs you were using
regarding the rods... I chose the demon blood because of the price/line and lure class and also most ledges I feel comfortable with have something behind me that limits how much room you have behind you for the cast. I think the length is ok and really the size of the jig makes the biggest difference. I am casting mostly 50g jigs and they pretty much all go the same distance, a longer rod may go a bit further. I then have a 9ft pe4-6 rod (shimano jewel) and only notice a significant distance difference casting 100g+ jig. so long story short... I think jig size really matters
I saw you commented something about the shimano jewel but cant find or see the full comment, I think the rod is great for the price. excelent for jigging and sticks (not stiff enough for popping) but how often do you catch stuff on a popper?)
Ive noticed that between a few different ones ive got the mileage varies! I think i wouldnt worry about it for the sub 10lb category but for heavier line... those split rings can look flimsy. my mate said he was actually just buying the jig with no hooks and tying his own assists, so i think thats my next money saving scheme!
Yeah they cut costs on the hard ware for sure. I do the same, bare jigs and just upgrade hardware/hooks. Still works out much cheaper than buying genuine jigparas
I have had some hooks last and perform good. You do need to take a steep up from the ones in his link. Some I have been buying when they are on sale of course ALLBLUE, WEIHAI FSTK, GOBAIT, BREARKING and a few others I cannot remember.
@@Tunnelrat6666 Ive been watching people just fish with hooks connected to the solid ring then change out the jig, not the whole kit which I think ill start doing just to avoid hooking the inside of your bag, also that way I can probably just buy high quality hooks, and worry less about varied aliexpress quality
Great stuff as always. Just be careful showing footage of you disoatching fish - it can cause problems for your channel (not sure how it works, but know Gido had a massive problem last year - he made a video about it, might be worth checking)
thanks for the heads up, I will check it out because I remember seeing him post something about being 'back' after being forced off the tube, but i wasn't sure what for... and I would love to keep making vids
It's in Shellcove around the south side of Bushranger's Bay. its a 40minute brisk hike and climb with all your gear to fish there which is why I think you get the spot to yourself.. also if it's hot you cook on the rocks so something else to worry about ontop of swell if you are game to try it out :)
Cool video! Good on you for picking up the rubbish!🫡
Bro, informative video for sure, great drone footage, great info on the way you are fishing as well, thats a full day out.
Thanks Dave! it was an absolute mission... 10 hrs in the sun
@@cballzoutdoors ah yes ..but was it as warm as the Nepean run😁.
@@davesboatingfishing the fires of hell are not quite as hot as the Nepean in summer!
Keep up the good work love your videos
Thanks Balle, I love getting out and making them so glad you enjoy!
Good video bro, love the drone footage!

Nice video!!

Nice work
Where is that
Bass Point in Shell Harbour
I enjoyed the footage. I am hoping the walk in track will show up on google maps. Is that a PFD I see you wearing? What brand and model?

Whenever i go its always risky is you take the further car park as there is a tight rocky edge
Its at 1:09
So im guessing this is maloneys bay instead
yes it is maloneys, then a walk from there, I have tried the other area, but have not had the same results :( @@3ds647

Great video! Did you sashimi the bonnito?
not this time, I just baked it butterflied full of chilli and shallots. the oily meat and chilli go really well together
Where’s this in the gong
Shellharbour with a fair walk from maloney's bay
I love me some Aliexpress jigs but the included hooks are no good. Not sure if you did, but upgrade them to BKKs and you'll be sweet
