Wow huge fish. I like the way you gently release the fish back into the water. Nice and easy. I've watched videos of fish being thrown back in the water from a height risking the fish air bladder to burst. Keep up the good work
it depends on how they are setting the hook. suicide hooks are fine if you know how to set them correctly. otherwise, yeah, circle hooks do tend to set themselves in a good spot.
Thanks. Nice video. I learned. You did wrong fight at 9:30. The line snapped. I guessed you just got impatient. I feel you need to release a little. I learned.
Hey mate, check out the land based playlist, there are gear reviews, How to videos and heaps of hot land based fishing action. www.ultimatefishing.tv/home/category/43-landbased-fishing
Bonjour superbe vidéo. Je pêche également au vif avec un flotteur et je voudrais savoir quel est votre montage pour le vif. Si une vidéo disponible serai appréciable. Joli poisson 👍
Yeah mate, we can't wait to get back out on the water. But it does mean that you can practice your knots. We have heaps of knot videos in this playlist: www.ultimatefishing.tv/home/category/51-knots-and-rigs
For the sport of fighting something like that and letting the fish live for another day also a lot of bigger fish like snapper don’t taste as good as they are more fatty
yes, but the problem is, so does everything else. in that situation, where you can't directly target the fish you want, you need to use a bait the rest of the smaller fish will leave alone. hence, freelining kawi. if you can approach from the ocean side, in deeper water, you have a better chance of targeting the kingies themselves.
Always convenient for this guy to fish at areas where the fish is abundant......but never seen him fish a hard area and catch fish.....he not that good to be honest.....try a harder spot to fish see how good your luck is.....then I'll believe you....
My compliments to the photographers. They did an incredible job with the in water action shots.

Defiantly subscribing 👍🎣
Awesome video but i would suggest using circle hooks you would of had a lot more health live baits.
it depends on how they are setting the hook. suicide hooks are fine if you know how to set them correctly.
otherwise, yeah, circle hooks do tend to set themselves in a good spot.
Really enjoy this upload video. Awesome spot

@@UltimateFishingTV thank u guys. may i ask whats the diffrence between putting a leader line vs just attaching the hooks on the main line?
awsome!
매트 반가워요 ㅎㅎ :)
Gam ,i agree with you these hot shot anglers should be spinning for this stuff, they talk big but i think they are fly by night anglers
It will be good if you add what rod, reels you use on the video clips.
What rod is the one when he hooks up the kingy?
Bonjour superbe vidéo. Je pêche également au vif avec un flotteur et je voudrais savoir quel est votre montage pour le vif. Si une vidéo disponible serai appréciable. Joli poisson 👍

Nice bs
Where location that rock bro can you give the address
Yeah mate 100 ocean street. Just line the rock up with the tree. 😜
your guy kept grabbin the snapper in the gills man... no good 😣😣
There grabbing the gill plate not the actual gills the fish will be fine
Slappy Slayer needs to start hugging trees.
For all us Americans watching, apparently "burley" = chum. I think
Fushing fuh boog kungfush 😂
Funny host lol

That sunburn at 8mins in tho
Big sting ray bro!?!

My friends own king salmon
Pippa
Watch this video with ur eyes closed when he is fighting the fish! :)
Big yellows over 30lbs are fighters. They AWESOME fights on 40 pound line!!!!!
go through all this effort when you could just throw in a stickbait or popper...
gam there not as effective especially in daytime more effective at dawn or dusk
@@braydenwood9221 hooked up more times during the day even on popper.
Stop using the hook if you are not going to kill and eat it. Get a landing net, thanks!

Bite fishing like....
Lol i thought you on australia
You can't catch fish like they are off any rocks in Australia
whats the purpose of catching and letting them go?
For the sport of fighting something like that and letting the fish live for another day also a lot of bigger fish like snapper don’t taste as good as they are more fatty
The fun of fishing mate
Do King-fish not eat the pilchard you were using to catch the bait.
yes, but the problem is, so does everything else.
in that situation, where you can't directly target the fish you want, you need to use a bait the rest of the smaller fish will leave alone. hence, freelining kawi. if you can approach from the ocean side, in deeper water, you have a better chance of targeting the kingies themselves.
lol i cant even hook a fish when i go landbased fishing
idk why
u will buddy keep trying
Ok now bridle rig that kingy and lets take live baiting up a notch
catch and release ? Eat some fish.
Dont you guys eat fish lol
Fushh
the bait is to big thats why it’s taking to long for the king to eat it
As soon when I see people using the handle reel on the right side I just skip the video
Does he ever shut up?
Always convenient for this guy to fish at areas where the fish is abundant......but never seen him fish a hard area and catch fish.....he not that good to be honest.....try a harder spot to fish see how good your luck is.....then I'll believe you....
We kinda want to watch entertaining stuff though. So someone going to hammered spots around Auckland would be boring as shit.
