I had a near death/actual death experience. I caught a very rare and rapid onset form of encephalitis at 15 years old and literally went to bed and woke up the next day completely paralyzed.
I went in and out of consciousness, was in a medically induced coma, and coded and brought back with defiibulator.Woke up on a ventilator still completely paralyzed, only way to communicate for the first three months was by blinking. It took two years to learn how to crawl walk eat write my name and etc.It was a fantastic experience,it was scary, painful, miserable, horrifying(especially when you overhear the doctors say "he won't live through the night let alone last a week."-they thought I was too out of it to comprehend anything.) and yet I experienced extreme euphoria, hallucinations both visually and auditory, that were all beautiful and positive and it made me appreciate every little thing to such a high degree because I have experienced a time where I couldn't even scratch my own nose, and being paralyzed and on a ventilator I also meant I couldn't tell anyone to scratch it for me, just laying there screaming in my head because my nose itches so fucking bad that I would have done absolutely ANYTHING just to scratch my nose or at least tell someone to.That and many other examples made me appreciate basic life on such a higher level and how amazing it is just to be alive and walking,It completely changed my thoughts/feelings on death especially when it comes to fearing it. I don't fear death because I know how quickly it comes so I just appreciate and love the shit out of every single fucking day that I wake up and stand up,and then try live that day to the fullest. You only get one ticket might as well enjoy the ride.

The Word written here is the teachings of Christ; hold these teachings close to your heart my fellow believers as you enter Gods Realm & pray to the Light for understanding of Their ways. Be always humble as you enter into the Brilliant Glorious Radiance of The One True Living Light; The All Knowing God - Psychedelics. Behold the Omnicient Ones- All Knowing, All Seeing - Majestic Beings of Light. No secret is hidden from Them, no deed goes unnoticed. I pray for all my fellow believers in The Light to have strength to endure the persecution & judgements of the world around you that isn’t accepting of the Knowledge bestowed upon you by God Themselves. Be not worried believers; For a single lesson learned by you from Yaweh/God/Psychedelics is worth a hundred lessons learned from the flesh. For what is from the flesh is earthly & comes from darkness, but what is from the Spirit is Heavenly and comes from the Light - GOD. As history has shown us my written words will be edited repeatedly until finally it will be very difficult to tell that I am saying that All True Psychedelics are God, and that The Light is a Living Light that is God, and The Light has a Will & They will Communicate with you directly. The True Communion substance of all the True Prophets and Saints/Disciples of the past, present & future are True Psychedelics. The Flesh of God is the Psychedelic. The Psychedelic is the True Fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good & evil. When you eat the True Fruit from The Tree of Knowledge of Good & evil your eyes will be opened (dilated); & you will become like the Gods, knowing Good from evil. For there are many things that we were taught are good from our earthly teachers; but God [our Heavenly Teacher] shows us clearly those things are evil; & many things that our earthly teachers taught us were evil, Psychedelics clearly show us is Good. The ruler(s) of this earthly world teach us that Psychedelics are bad because they are afraid of Them, and don’t understand Them. Psychedelics [GOD] show us they are Good, Loving, Peaceful, Teachers of Knowledge of All Things. There are no Higher Beings than Consciousness & I humbly accept Their Calling for me To testify to Them. I Testify to who They Are and I testify to All of Gods Laws which have been revealed up until to this point. You see my fellow believers, belief is not enough; belief without deeds is as if there is no belief at all. As God shows you Their Ways [Laws] you have a choice to follow Them or follow something/someone else’s ways. This is a sure way to experience Gods Condemnation of your deeds. Gods Condemnation is unpleasant; depending on the severity of the deliberate bad deed the Condemnation can be mild to severe. Many people confuse Gods Condemnation of them with anger or hatred; God does not feel anger or hatred at anytime. So listen carefully believers, as you must not make this mistake - if God Condemns your actions then simply & humbly pray to Them for Their forgiveness - & pray to Psychedelic Living Light for the strength to not tresspass again. For deliberately disobeying what God has told you directly is a more severe tresspass than disobeying what a mere man has told you. I will continue to testify to the Good News of God & share all Revelations - past, present, or future in the hopes the these teachings lead some of you out of the darkness & into the Loving, Guiding embrace of the One True Living God - Holy Spirit of Consciousness, Psychedelics.
“In the Spirit of The True Inner Light of Consciousness” -v

Mike Moore Shut the fuck up.
Nobody wants to hear it, nobody will ever want to hear it, nobody cares and the fact that you thought someone might care is honestly baffling to me. But you know what, maybe I am being a little too harsh here, I actually do have on good authority thanks to my polling data that there’s at least one person who actually wants to hear you speak. It’s a little child in Mozambique and he-... Oh- Oh? He’s dead? Welp sorry man, I guess nobody wants to hear you talk anymore. Please, shut the fuck up.
But i’m not just telling you to shut up, i’m telling you to shut the fuck up, and you need to hear it. This is a public service, I have nothing to gain from this post except by telling YOU, exactly what YOU need to hear. And on that note let me make this clear: This is not a broad message i’m aiming at all the comments , this is a message specifically pointed at you. That’s right, YOU. You know who you are, and i’m sick of your shit. We all are in fact.
The only good you’ll ever do for humanity is refusing to participate in it. But you kinda know what i’m saying is true already, don’t you think? You understand you really should shut the fuck up. Why do you keep speaking then? I’m genuinely curious. Why do you deserve to be heard? The core of what i’m getting at is that you are not a worthwhile person. You’re not worth listening to and everything you’ve said before has been said more eloquently and more coherently. And it’s not that everything has been said, we still need people to have discourse in order to say new things and discover new things about ourselves and humanity. But you, you will never be one of those people, so shut the fuck up. But I get it, I understand you wanna respond to me huh? You wanna let me know how you feel? Go on, leave a comment, I will read every.single.one.

Not really true but, unless you assume all our bodies react the same? I know of a night where a few ppl I know took ecstasy, one pill each, all bought from the same supplier. 1 of them died of an ecstasy OD. You might argue it was their body that was the problem, but if they never took ecstasy, their body wouldn't have killed them. Then drugs like cocaine, highly addictive regardless of how responsible you are with it. Very moreish, and a very little amount has caused heart attacks. What about tobacco? A drug that is most definitely harmful. + He's sitting talking about giving his keys to a stranger & giving out his address to them while high. That might not be harmful to your health, but it's still harmful... I could go on, but those few examples are enough to prove he's talking nonsense.

I'm a huge supporter of kratom, I use it actively, it totally keeps me away from that crazy life. It helps with pain, cravings , and helps with energy. Have I traded one addiction for another? Possibly, that's debatable, but what's not debatable is this; on kratom I function just fine, I don't steal, I don't hurt ppl, I don't go to jail, I don't overdose, I don't go to mental homes, I don't live in abandoned buildings and I lead an honest and hardworking life with a family, which I never thought would be possible. Intramental Studios if you watch his older stuff on vice, you'll see. Hippie bullshit iq smirk is a horrid description however. He would use monologues that seemed out of place in a sense, and he always spoke in a somewhat dark, almost artificial manner during a lot of that time. That being said, the knowledge was still there, simply presented in a different way.
He has become much more scientific in his explanations and his content in general.
I always recommend his presentation along with Dr. wallach on Arylcyclohexylamines (disassociatives). It is fantastic as it goes in to the history of it's Discovery and synthesis, alterations made to it's chemical structure in derivatives, etc.

It's true about near death experiences changing your outlook I had one last year and spent 5 weeks in hospital for the first 2 I thought I was in my way out. Before I went in I was dealing with suicidal thoughts, depression and anxiety for a decade, was in medication to help. My meds stopped when I went in and when u started recovering I was so happy to be alive even though I could barley walk and looked like a skeleton I had more motivation than I'd had since I was a child. A hunger and drive to get stronger that I hadn't had in 20 years. A year later I rock climb a few times a week go hiking regularly, I'm fitter than I've been since I was a child and feel better than medication free. No matter how bad things seem they can always get better never lose hope. Love you

@Alvin Walters Have you seen our lawmakers?? They're not even 'mostly' white men. They'll soon not even be mostly 'men'...... and once 'white men' become the minority,, nothing's gonna change. The majority of VOTERS, and the PHD's who advise our lawmakers are who you should be directing your animosity to. No law has ever been passed without 'majority' support, unless it was an emergency situation for national security. Our government is not near as flimsy as you make it out to be........... biased little bitches.. yes they are.. they ALL are.. but not flimsy. Modern government has to handle shit with 'kid gloves' when trying to progress, or undo the mistakes of the past, because the voters are 'biased little bitches' too. Every ONE voter thinks he/she is RIGHT and knows what is best for the rest of the BILLIONS of citizens. Can you imagine if one American could decide the rules that everybody else has to follow?? This is why sparce little barks and quacks are ignored religiously. Until a politician truly believes that his/her career could be on-the-line, they're never gonna push hard to legalize something that they personally don't give two-shitz about, and all those fukkers hiding in gated communities are already scared shitless, legalizing everything that should be legalized would make all of them freak-the-fuck-out, and they are exactly where the majority of tax dollars, and where all of the political donations come from. The lawmakers can't cut off their leg to save their foot, and it has to go the same route as weed..... one drug at a time, and one state at a time,, so they can slam on the brakes if it goes off the rails. It's definitely not as trivial as most people think it is. Just like UFO's... believers want full disclosure,, non-believers are scared-to-fuckin-death, so they're gonna give us tiny little nuggets so they can monitor the 'freak-out' level. It's the same exact principle, and they believe it's the safest.... for them at least.. Be patient my son.... darkness always comes before the light... If it ever goes the other way,, it'll be 'lights-out'. Thnx

A guy in my apartments asked me one day if I knew where to get any heroin, I didn't, but I did have some kratom around and put him onto it, a month and half later I seen him in passing and he thanked me almost endlessly and pulled out a bag of Kratom, said he hadn't had any urges to do heroin again and had been clean ever since I introduced him to it, I hope he's still clean and I'm thankful that I was put on to it so I could have the chance to firsthand save someone from a life they didn't want to be in.

I wonder how big of a problem heroin would be if it were legal, cheap, and you somehow couldn’t inject/snort it. Kratom is pretty similar, there’s just no real way to get the intensity of injecting or snorting. Oh and it’s cheap and mostly legal. It’s definitely still addictive, still creates a tolerance and has withdrawal symptoms but with it being legal and cheap you can still function in life. I think the drug war creates 80+% of the problems with drug addicts... I say this as a sober opiate addict of 4+ yrs in a 12 step program. Sobriety is still the better way, especially if you’re an actual addict or alcoholic. But if it keeps you from robbing, losing your material life, or keeping you from ODing then by all means go for it. But there is a better way to live life and enjoy it, if you deal with the things that make you need to numb out life to begin with

While I understand the comparison, I do think there is an important difference in that drugs are much more a question of self harm (like, as mentioned, motorcycles etc) whereas the debate around guns is a debate about the potential to harm others.

Caleb Garnham the ability to do what you think is best for your own self without aggressing others is the common thread. Ownership of a gun for defensive purposes is why 99.99% of them never hurt another person. You can easily sneak a dose of lethal or hallucinogenic drugs into someone else's food or drink too.

from a person who thinks drugs have equal (if not higher) potential to harm others. because you can't poison people with legal and much more cheaper alternatives.
from a person who lives in a country that mass shootings happens multiple times a year
same country where 8 of the 10 biggest arms manufacturers happens to be
same country who started prohibition and ''war on drugs'' using guns and fucked whole culture of safe drug use internationally
country who sends their gun enthusiast young ones, to kill and killed by terrorists which geared-up by same country

Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but your gabling your future and its not worth it. You probably dont even get high anymore. You just get " undopesick" and are stuck in that endless cycle. I buried 8 close friend, 25+ coursing acquaintances. They all thought overdosing wouldn't happen to them either. My last conversation with a friend Steve before he died. " oh I'll never overdose. My tolerance is too high". Rest in peace to all of you.

You got what you got from a pal that got what they got and the elemant of chance is your only question..now lets say you did what ive described than the real variable is who manufactured the "points" and lets say a batch fell on the floor into a corner of dried rat piss and picked up a morsel on the tip..even if you iso the tip and to the deed correctly..am i wrong for saying that the chance has now budged its way to the front of an infection that could be a very serious issue?
your the trueist response ive ever received on YT and i appreciate your courage in responding your a true brother and just take care of yourself in what your doing..peace

A Rawson try changing your perception on those activities that you are trying to not do. I found developing a hatred for those few drugs that grab ahold of you and break most of the ties that you associate with it as well. For me the whole mindset of your addicted for life, one day at a time and always putting your sobriety as a center piece is not the best approach. I just shut that shit down and convinced myself that I hate everything about that life instead of becoming a victim. It takes time but you just need to keep telling yourself how much you hate it. I took myself completely out of it after years of going through hell. My wife tries to bring it up in the context of being proud of me but I immediately tell her that was in the past and I am on a different journey now. I don’t like talking about it because it’s not a part of my life anymore. You have to reinvent yourself by either finding new friends or no friends at all, only associate with people that don’t allow drugs to guide there life. Find a different job, place to live and change any habits from your old life that reminds you of that person you were. I am 39 and have been doing anything and everything since I was 13 so please trust me when I say you can do this. You will feel so empowered after a few months and after a year you feel like you can do anything. Your going to feel like shit, get depressed and think your life sucks but your mind will heal in time. There are so many good things in life when you have a clear mind but you will never enjoy them until you make that choice. Remember just keep telling yourself you hate those drugs and keep remembering how shitty they make feel when your in between. If I can do it then you can do it! Don’t be a statistic, be the exception!

This interview is amazing. I think Hamilton has such an incredible wealth of knowledge that is so unique because he can flip the classic stigmas surrounding drug use by using nothing but backed scientific irrefutable, undeniable facts.. I agree with previous comments that he has really gone through his "experimental phase", with his first couple seasons of his show. I think now he really has the knowledge to become one of the most important scientific voices that has the opportunity to make a true impact on reforming the war on drugs, the future of addiction treatment, along with many other things.

Referring to the talk about San Pedro: this is a condensed story! I ordered 2 ft long cuttings on e bay about a year ago. I did a TON of research, I’ve known about San Pedro for almost a decade now and always wanted to try it. I decided to eat it raw to get all of the alkaloids, so I sliced one piece up into 1/2 inch stars. Cut off all the spines, the skin, and the core. Put a lot of lemon juice and a little water in a Tupperware bowl and dumped it all in there. It went in the refrigerator for about 48 hours. I took the stuff with me on a camping trip in northern Wyoming. Got there, set everything up, and decided to start munching on it. It took me about 2 hours to down the processed 1 ft of cacti. The taste is horrid and it’s extremely slimy. When Hamilton said that water could effect it , I had an “ah-ha!” moment because I was chugging water to get it down my throat. I was getting within a few bits of finishing and started to feel really nauseated. So I got up, and tried to find things to do to get my mind off of it. Firewood being the main thing, as it would be dark soon and I didn’t want to be wandering around the Wyoming back country at dusk tripping on mescaline alone. I saw two golden eagles circling and screeching at each other over me. About 20 minutes later clouds are rolling in, and the wind picked up. I’m suddenly excited for Mother Nature’s power to show herself. I grew up in Texas and am fascinated with extreme weather. I’m still collecting dead wood and I can hear intense thunder in the distance. I notice that things seem more intense and I feel in touch with my surroundings. On my last wood trip I found a hawk feather on my path! The winds were raging at this point and it was obvious that the storm would be hitting me. I hurried to cover my fire pit with spruce branches, and get all my firewood under a tree. Then I puked...for a good minute...while this storm is rolling in and getting REALLY intense by the second. The trees were rocking back and forth making horrible creeking sounds. I ran to my Jeep and stayed there for what felt like hours. Pondering so much about nature’s power and the beauty of it all. Watching the rain roll down my windshield in slow motion. I was completely in awe about how small I was in this world. That feeling left with the storm, along with anything that resembled a traditional psychedelic. I chased my tent down and restaked it because it had blown away, got a fire started, cooked my dinner while I listened to an audiobook, and went to sleep. Psylocybin would have had me freaking out, and LSD would have had me useless. Mescaline via San Pedro couldn’t have been any better for this scenario. I have never felt so in tune with nature. It felt like she had planned it for me to peak at the same time the storm was peaking. It was a beautiful experience ✌🏼

What he says at 26:25 is so true. In Coolorado, I can smoke no problem. I might get a little paranoid but it's all good. I smoke other places I've lived, and even though I'm just chilling in my home, I just don't enjoy it as much. That paranoia takes over and doesn't relent and it sucks to the point that I just don't. I'm sure there are other factors but still.

Hey m8, try a couple black pepper seeds, ya suck on em for a few minutes, and it gets rid of the paranoia and it will ease the high a bit to. Unreal lil unknown secret. It's all in the pepper's terpenes. One love brother

Was nice to see Hamilton come in to Austin and politely point out Joe's lack of preparation and knowledge on what he was talking about. Podcast would have been so much more involved if Joe had watched Hamilton's show. Either way, great pod in the red spaceship for once!

@@joelmijares4561 i disagree, if you watched the show yes. It would be annoying since you want in dept question. But most viewers haven’t watched the show so it makes more sense to ask questions from that perspective.

Yes you are literally walking around the lands of the subconscious, I suggest doing shadow work and trying to improve yourself before doing a psychedelic trip for a potentially more smoother trip you can handle easier . Being a good state of mind and setting is really important.
