    Plants have an amazing ability to connect people. Example, I have bought my flat (because I am old and settled), but the flat next door is rented mostly by young students. I grow herbs on my balcony (organically) and when they are prolific, I give them to my neighbours to add to their food. As soon as I do that, then I receive all sorts of little gifts back, and when the neighbours move on (usually because they have finished their uni degree) they always site "my little garden" as being a big part of the joy of living here. Ps my balcony is tiny, but the plants love it. We can create a piece of paradise anywhere if we try. Even non psychedelic plants have a big effect on humans.

After a few months i took penis envy mushrooms which are psilocybin and after I tripped my face off on those one time I have not used any hard drugs in 4 years not only have I not use them but I have been around them and it is no longer a problem for me it completely reset me like I had never used opiates before I did not notice this really until a few months after the trip also my anxiety went away and my depression went completely away it's like I forgave myself for everything and moved on

    I was at a very high end pain clinic, and when I got back to the resort every evening, I started researching Kratom and then I ordered some. I was on some heavy narcotics, and so was everyone else at the clinic. It worked so well for me, I ordered a shit load and handed it out for free to my fellow patients. The health care people had never heard of it, nor wanted to hear about it.
    One guy I gave it to was on a couple hundred ml. of Oxycontin. The day after I gave him a batch he came up to me almost in tears, he was blown away by how well it worked. Everyone I gave it to came back with the same story.

      And I don't know if I buy that cuz if they already have pain pills in their system the kratom is not powerful enough to overcome what is in their system are ready and be effective now if they didn't have narcotics opiates in their system and used it then sure I could see it working I'm a heroin addict in recovery and when I did have heroin in my system Kratom did not work for me at all so I don't know if I buy your story not saying you're a liar I just don't believe that they would work when somebody already has a high dose of narcotic opiates in their system

      @@shaneknerr7030 I agree with you 100 percent. Kratom attaches to the same receptor in the brain as narcotics, thus giving a slight feeling of taking a pain med, or heroin, so if you take them while on a strong narcotic, you will feel nothing. Even if you take it the next day, the tolerance level will not allow you to feel that small amount of kratom. You also cannot keep taking kratom to feel more effective, at some point, you will get a headache and maybe even vomit. I gave Kratom to a recovering heroin addict, hoping to curb his pain, he ended up using up to a kilo per two days, even after I told him Kratom will stop working very fast, the tolerance builds up very fast. Kratom works as a mild pain reliever, but it is not a substitute for anyone a large amount of pain killers or even heroin. It will relieve withdrawal symptoms to a very small degree. Glad you are clean bud!!

    Just another person adding that Kratom also saved my life. I live with pain daily after a car crash 5 years ago. I regularly attend a pain clinic where i am prescribed Narcotic pain pills. Kratom allowed me to completely stop taking the pills, now i take Kratom 2-3 times per day, I do not feel intoxicated and my pain is MUCH better. Best part, I can stop taking it and i have almost no side effects or withdrawal. Recently I traveled overseas for 1-month, I went from dosage of 3 times a day to nothing, and had almost no withdrawal effects. I have had worse withdrawal effects for anti-depressants i was also prescribed, hell i have worse withdrawals from coffee...

Glad you haven't experienced much difficulty but others shouldn't read this expecting Kratom to be something you can just take and quit whenever you'd like. meth is only bad if ABUSED. If you smoke crystal and stay up days at a time, thats abuse. But for a narcoleptic taking 5mg desoxyn to stay awake all day, or an extremely obese person taking a small amount to curb their appetite, it can be a lifesaver. Meth isnt bad, its just very very easy to abuse, and 99% of people who try it cant control it. Dont do meth, but there is a reason it IS LEGAL under US Law for doctors to prescribe.

I don't like being around people who actively use meth....BUT, I always wonder if amphetamines could be used responsibly...and maybe that's not meth...but shit, sometimes I wish I could have some energy, focus, perhaps dumbfounded sense of excitement that meth seems to be contributed with...I will continue to wonder.

      Same here. Salvia was my first experience in that department. Low potency, my sense of proprioception was all messed up, felt like my consciousness, in relation to my body, was out of joint, and so even though I was standing up straight it felt like I was leaning back for some reason, so I sat down. All in all it felt like my surroundings were further away, in a different realm so to speak. Lasted maybe 10 minutes, followed shortly after by a throbbing headache that subsided maybe 2 hours later. The experience was cool, but not worth the headache! Never again, I said to myself.

      @willweppler8654 6 ปีที่แล้ว +21

      Cybernetĩc gsǖs Lol no kidding. The thing that had me taking salvia in the first place was wanting answers to the heaviest questions that exist, but my only mistake there was taking too much, or you could say too much of too high of an extract, so as soon as I crossed through the membrane-like veil I was shot past the beautiful "we're all one and all unique, and your thoughts and intents and expectations play a role in the bigger picture of what happens in a very real way" straight to something I'll try to describe separate from this already run-on sentence. Under too much salvinorin-alpha, it's something worse than a physically torturistic hell, because (if anything like my too-much salvia dose), you are convinced that you just fucked up sooooo hard in that you just metaphorically cut your timespace continuum into a Klein bottle kind of thing in 4 spacial dimensions such that a finite amount of timespace just looped into itself somehow doomed to repeat forever, such that moments before repeating from its beginning you only then realize what you've done and it's already too late to stop because your realization of the time loop fuck up aligns with events that flow back through the loop seemingly indefinitely. It's much worse than it might sound, it is beyond description shit, so when God or some mystery troop of hyperdimensional awareness helps to undo the fuckup after what seems like aeons of this agonizing four minute loop, you are sooooo thankful to be sober l. Holy shit it's the most humbling!

    • @BenSmith-jw8zy
      @BenSmith-jw8zy 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      No, currently the (nationalism) or nation state model has not failed though it is close to failing. When it does, say goodbye to ALL FREEDOMS. The nation state and nationalism as a model with the nation state as the absolute highest sovereign is the BEST MODEL to have multiple cultures on Earth at the same time peacefully. Corporations WANT a communist global government technocracy, but they HAVE NOT YET SUCCEEDED. If they do, its OVER MAN. Trump is holding us up as a SOVEREIGN NATION, and for all his BS, that is his saving grace. Governments ARENT PUPPETS YET. TRUMP PROVES THIS. ISIS wants a Caliphate (globalist) Hitler wanted Germany to run the world (globalist) Communism wants to run the world (globalist) Truth is nationalism is the only system along with capitalism that has provided much productivity and wealth for the common man, and is the system of government that causes the LEAST amount of democide. Nazis and communists were and are globalists, islam is globalist. I agree that malignant nationalism, believing your country is better than all others, absolutely can be poison, as with many nationalists over history. And of course the idea that your race or ethnic background being superior is also an ignorant dangerous ideology. But the system of having nations and a nation state as the absolute sovereign is the best most peaceful way to have multiple cultures on Earth, so Nationalism IS A GOOD THING. Globalism, or having one giant communist dictatorship, is a system that would cause FAR more TERROR. Im from the USA and I think its the best, but only because we have the Bill of Rights and Freedom of Speech, and no other country can compare with our level of freedom. But its like rooting for your team in a football game, all the teams, and certainly the players (individuals) matter and are sovereign. And im from here, so its my favorite, but if yours is another, im cool with that, just dont be fooled by all the international corporate propaganda that wants a global state, because NATIONALISM WORKS.

    I took Dennis's advice (two weeks ago) from a clip of this video, on reading the book "plant intelligence and the imaginal realm" - ISBN: 1591431352.
    So far, I'm not even 25% through it and I'm blown away by the information and knowledge within.
    Without having read Aldous Huxley (yet), I now understand what he meant by the "doors of perception" and what sensory gating really is... Dennis talks about quite a few interesting things in this video that are well covered by that book, which I recommend to anyone who enjoyed this video.
    He too talks about self-organized, flow dependent structures, Gaia, bacterial organization, communications, etc..
    I am hooked on this book ever since I started reading it. And to think, I was going to skip it because I thought the cover makes looked like a gardening book about flowers or something lame - so far from it and I'm so glad I didn't ignore it.
    As it turns out too, this book is basically one of a series. There's no doubt I'll be buying them all once I'm done.
    Anyone familiar with Dr. Bob Melamede's lectures on thermodynamic flow dependent structures far from equilibrium theory, the EndoCannabinoid System, Psychedelics / Psychonautics, bio-chemistry, neuropsychopharmacology, cannabis or "drugs" as we call them, gardening, etc. would really like this book.
    Thanks for posting this video!

It's all been part of a change in paradigm that honors the inter-connectedness of all and the ability to perceive this.

    Joe Rogan you are wise beyond your years and an amazing person. I have listened to your podcast all this year, old and new, you always make me learn something on my own. This podcast is amazing because I struggle with opiate addiction and have for 15 years but I am a very functional addict. Professionally in public I am a lead cook but I have been a professional addict until these past few years because it started to wear on me. I have taken suboxone for a couple years to help with my addiction but it seems to take the same schedule out of my life. I read about kratom from a random article December 2016 that gave me a little bit of hope. I than started listening to your podcasts and just your outlook on life gave me hope and now listening ba few months late, to this podcast you have given me a little more drive to have more self control. I would just like to praise you for being you and always seeking knowledge for the sake of knowing. Thank you for being an inspiration whether you know it or not.

Just the fact that he is passing himself off as a serious scientist and researcher only to give his “authoritative” opinion on someone he does not know. What’s more is he claims he knows what the best method of treatment is for someone’s mental health is undoubtedly unaware of. It would be like a psychiatrist seriously giving a diagnosis and treatment of James Earl Jones while only looking at his performance as Darth Vader - that is insane and it’s a shame Rogan fed this guy’s delusion.
      But that is 2020 for you, claim trump is negative for literally any reason real or fictional, and you too can be an “expert” with a valid opinion.

      I smoothed a gravel road out with my eyes and went skateboarding down it. I did the same thing to my gnarled pinky finger and it straightened right out. I walked along the top of a wire fence as easily as walking down a sidewalk. I saw an Angel and a white sphere fly over my yard. I bought a new album, started singing along, knowing all the words even though I've never heard it before. I've had purple clouds come out of my eyes. Sometimes when I'm laying in bed at night I can see a very light blue light glowing from my eyes, more like from behind my eyes. A few weeks ago I was singing along to Alice In Chains Unplugged when the room started flashing dark. It continued for the last fifteen to twenty minutes of the album, it happened again a few days ago when I was talking about some people I love. Twice I've had a television screen appear inside my eyelid, the first it just showed a dragon galloping on top of clouds, the second time the Archangel Michael said, "There's a video screen, Eli", and sure as shit one materialized before my very eyes. The image was in black and orange instead of black and white and it depicted a man working on something in a shop. I couldn't see what, but he walked out from behind a table and sat down at a machine in the foreground. I should have told you first that Angels speak to me through me. They played pure Hell trying to make contact. I thought I was being possessed, thought I was going to lose myself to them, so I fought against it for years before I finally realized they weren't trying to hurt me, so I just let go of myself and let them talk. I wanted to hear what they had to say. There were times in the past where my skull has crackled and split and I had to tap it back into place. As soon as I did I'd have great clarity. It also moves and shifts around. Sometimes my ear canals will be up to two inches off, one higher, one lower. I think my skull kind of like the crystal egg I found at a friends house. One day I took it off the shelf and to my delight I discovered that by rubbing it I could fuse the interior facets of the crystal, but when I'd bump it, it would crack apart. I wanted it to stay clear, I tried rubbing it in water and that seemed to help, needing somewhere soft and wet, I put it in my mouth. Once in there, the crystal egg flattened out on my tongue like it was made of Silly Putty and crawled down my throat like and inch worm. Weird, huh? Oh, and don't let me forget all the syncronicities I witnessed, in music and television. I'd be watching T.V. and listening to music and it would look as though the people on television were singing the songs I was playing, every syllable matching their lips perfectly, this made me think some crazy shit, like that God was broadcasting my music over the airwaves, so I had my fun with it thinking that, I knew what I was by that time and figured that's just how it's done. Twitter. Twitter sucked with syncronicities. Every post would describe me and what was going on in my life, it wasn't craziness, it wasn't paranoia it all made sense, I could have sat you down and explained how what the people were saying pertained to me. When this stuff happened I was under the impression that the whole world knew about me and that God was keeping them under control from addressing me directly. So I tried using these powers to put on a show for everybody. I'd play guitar and sing night after night trying to spread my message of love to the world. I thought everybody could hear me, people were always saying to me, "I hear ya." So I believed everyone always could. Seemed like everyone I'd talked to would say they hear me. It wasn't delusional, I had plenty of reason for my beliefs, it was syncronicity. I was made to believe it was that way. I even had a friend of mine sit in the living room with the T.V. on, I played guitar in my guitar room as she watched television and I asked her if she could hear me through the T.V., AND SHE SAID YES! So it's not my fault for thinking y'all could hear me, I tried to check. Try dealing with that shit, try going on with your life thinking that everybody is listening to you all the time. I didn't care, I was glad. I think people should hear my words, so I've been trying to put myself out there on Facebook since I finally came to the realization that I am not exactly the voice inside people's heads. Not exactly, I've been convinced that everything I say registers with people subconsciously because of what I am. Separation is an illusion anyways, we're all connected on a spiritual plain. So if you're bored and lonely, speak out loud to your friends, they'll hear, in a way. It kinda works for everyone. I'm just louder and am addressing EVERYONE at once. I've been on one Hell of an adventure for the past eight or nine years, these are just a few of the highlights of it. I know it all sounds outrageous, but if you really know me stop and ask yourself, "Why would he be making any of it up?" I'm not bullshitting anybody, I just want to give you all hope.

      to be transparent, I completely advocate for the continued legality of this plant, and admit to its many positive qualities. I've met more than one person who feels it has either saved their life, usually from a harsher addiction/withdrawal, or it has been a wonderful alternative to prescription meds when searching for a way to cope with their many psychological ills. with that said, it has completely f'd up my life. I have experience with other more intense things, and for whatever reason, this plant has been the most difficult to quit, and has had some serious negative impacts on my quality of life. please don't freak out and tell me I must not know how to respect the plant, or that i'm an ignorant ass hole. it's been my experience that this plant can be great medicine for some, but I've also observed many people jumping into it and thinking it is no more addictive than coffee--it is. i'm on day 1 of WD right now, and the pain is real. ok, I'm ready for the shitstorm of denial and dismissive name calling. if you have something intelligent to say; however, I'm all ears.

      bilbo bagginziz are you taking kratom extracts? Those give the worse withdrawals and increase tolerance. I take about 6-9 grams a day, if I stop cold turkey I get some insomnia, never felt any pain. Either way, I wish you luck on quitting man

    • @bilbobagginziz6930
      @bilbobagginziz6930 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I had some experience with extracts, albeit briefly, many years ago. The withdrawal from those brought on new levels of anxiety that I didn't think were even possible. It was well beyond the intensity of any other WD I'd ever previously experienced. However, that was over 2 years ago, and during my long relationship with Kratom, it has been 99% dried leaf. The WD from the dried leaf is arguably much easier.Still, I've quit 4-5x for at least 2 weeks, and up to about 6wks. I mentioned earlier I had experience with harder stuff. With that in mind, my experience with Kratom has been this: the WD is way harsher mentally than physically, when compared to traditional opes, and lasts way longer than you'd expect. We are talking weeks of depression, anxiety, no joy in anything, disrupted sleep, no motivation, and intense irritability. Depending on your duration and intensity of use, I'd argue it can take a solid month to start really feeling good again. Though, don't let that stop you if you're thinking of quitting. After 5 days, it is more of a downhill battle, if you're prepared for the psychological stuff. There are also supplements that really take the edge off.The variety of experiences people have with Kratom WD is astounding to me, but it can be generally agreed that they are always awful. I don't know your history, or why you got into K in the first place, but 6-9g/day is really not too bad. Thank whatever God you pray to that insomnia has thus far been your only noticeable symptom.Still, have you ever tried quitting for, let's say a month? If it were to be made illegal starting August, what would your emotional reaction be? I think it is important to take stock of why we are using this plant in the first place.For me, it was as simple as being bored, and feeling trapped by life. Rather than taking grown up steps to change my circumstances, I numbed myself with a plant. I allowed myself to believe it was no more dangerous than coffee, and here I am years later, wishing I had never even heard of it. If you haven't used it long, like less than a year, it is a lot easier to quit than once you hit the year+ mark.I have a lot of experience with Kratom, and addiction in general, if you have any questions. Though, I'd totally understand if you didn't want to talk to a complete stranger.

    • @bilbobagginziz6930
      @bilbobagginziz6930 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hi Grin, there are few places you can find honest information about Kratom-certainly not from the vendors. It is not a well studied plant. The best place I found for honest feedback about the plant is at the quitting kratom reddit forum www.reddit.com/r/quittingkratom/. Though, this is admittedly a quitting forum, and folks their are focused on that.... Still, whether or not you have interest in quitting, or have ever even taken the plant, the feedback there is honest. If you search through forums that celebrate Kratom, you will never hear the whole story. Some folks their are downright hostile to anyone that has even the slightest negative thing to say about Kratom. But don't get me wrong; It's not an evil plant, and has its many uses. But way too many people advocate for it without telling you the possible danger. If you have questions, make a Grin Stylez reddit account, and post your questions there. I am active there, and will keep an eye out for any post you make.

    When we emerged from the jungle and pure chaos, order was our friend. Eventually we achieved balance, but we keep propogating order and now we're departing from balance. If we continue plummeting toward pure order, we'll wake up in an authoritarian world. Chaos is our friend.

    My parents brought me and my cousin to Panama City Beach, Florida for summer vacation in 1990 or 91’ and one of the many headshops was offering drug free trips via a lighting setup. It was a small room that was maybe 10’x12’ with cool rugs and pillows on the floor to lounge on and about 6’ off the floor was what I can only describe as Pink Floyd’s full concert lighting setup. It was an astounding number of lights. I was 12-13 and I distinctly remember flying through space at a pace fast enough that I felt like my body was going to tear apart. I was in a realm of fractals and waves of energy. The guy that came up with that light definitely wasn’t the first to figure out the process. Some Dead heads from Florida definitely figured it out almost 30 years prior.
