I want to place this comment where it has the greatest chance for literally just someone to read. Black holes are active (little) big bangs that are compressing matter until there is no more free space, and this launches particles at unfathomable speeds and sizes making it nearly impossible on an individual scale to measure their exit, thus the illusion of no light occurs; there becomes no "space" for the light to occupy and reflect off... this movement of energy is what creates the illusion of universal expansion, except it occurs at an uneven rate.. we thought it was because black holes influence a larger gravity process from a larger "big bang", but it's entirely possible they are that largest process... Think of them as big shop vacuums that are actively sucking all the large particles up until eventually it gets so full, that the smallest particles that require the least energy begin to get launched back out at tremendous speeds.. after all you must have an equal and opposite force, so it can't just suck.. it must be blowing too otherwise it defies all known laws of physics if the possibility of an ejection event does not occur. In principal they do have a lifespan, except I'd assert the method of measurement of it's life is entirely dependent on the weight of the elements is absorbs... so if it's a lighter particle such as hydrogen, it will likely get super heated and ejected as helium3 or what have you... whereas the heavier stuff gets trapped longer, until eventually the "Core" goes inert from a decreasing ability to deject and absorb new material to keep the process "alive" hence why the center is "the end of time" as Einstein puts it, because there is no "space" left for the "time" to occupy as all atoms have been so thoroughly compressed that they likely begin to form new super particles where their structures become one uniform entity that is layered based on material weight.. IE, things like Tungsten would be closer to the core whereas iron would be more on the surface. No different that observing how materials will self sort themselves based on buoyancy in a glass of water, which is literally the process used to separate gold from lighter material in mining.. Where Einstein gets it wrong is there is never a point of "no time" but there is a catalyst point where as you're able to approach that nearly no space (all atoms are as close as is physically possible in a super critical condition) this creates nearly no time as gravity overwhelms and pushes out the ability for time to exist because time is really just a measurement of atomic material half life and you can no longer make those measurements on materials that can not move enough to physically deteriorate anymore, meaning the only action left is for them to change their structure into a new material, and or eject themselves as their atomic latices are broken, and freeing up even the heaviest of particles to now eject from the black hole at speeds and sizes simply too small for us to measure.. Case in point are the labs we built thousands of feet underground trying to measure something we call "neutrinos" which might actually just be matter that has escaped a black hole and has yet to slow down enough to form any meaningful mass and slow it further as it forms into new space material like an asteroid. This would absolutely explain the gravitational locked influences of galaxy locations and how particles travel to empty spaces until eventually those now unoccupied spaces that have "room" for "time" (which is a clever way of saying they finally begin to overcome gravitational influences from distance cosmic systems) begin to amass into new star structures and then the process repeats itself just in a new location and typically at a reduced size until you have events like the 2 galaxies we are studying at location NGC 6052 where the two galaxies are actively colliding with each other which would simply jump start the process all over again in something that essentially extends our understanding of the universes life expectancy well beyond our expectations. It's ability to end would seem entirely dependent on the rare fluke that somehow eventually the matter being ejected from black holes stopped re-colliding into new cosmic structures which allow for the event to restart and cause a cascade effect that leads back to new super galaxies, except for all we know, black holes are where all the "energy" is created.. Note how we always say you can not create energy you can only transform it... perhaps black holes are the transformers that do all the creating.. so for instance when a scientist estimates how long it would take for all the hydrogen to burn up from all the stars, whose to say the super compression of materials inside the black hole isn't what is responsible for converting elements into that "new" energy. Anyways.. nobody will read this, but it appears to be sound logic. Have a good one.

@@TimeSkipChapters If we consider the pre-inflationary state of the universe as a true vacuum-absolute nothingness-it presents an inherent paradox. This nothingness, extending infinitely in all directions, would still possess positional geometry. Imagine this nothingness as a field of dormant virtual particles-potential but non-existent. For any virtual particle at position -6667, there must be a corresponding particle at +6667, equidistant from a central origin, zero. This symmetry applies across all axes. Each positive and negative entity reflects its counterpart, effectively canceling out. Therefore, the only point of ontological significance is zero, where symmetry breaks, as all other positions mirror each other in this virtual geometry. The universe, logically, could only originate at this zero point, where all opposing virtual pairs neutralize, and existence emerges.
One thing I enjoy as a long time JRE fan is the evolution of Joe's thinking and questioning. His curiosity over the years has really developed and he asks genuinely intelligent questions. He's a true autodidact/renaissance man. He's helped inspire curiosity and vocational education for millions of people.
Agreed, mostly. I think Guests like Brian Cox and also many other smart Guests are very teaching in their Therms and that helps to be more open minded, etc.....Works for me, I can say👍 - Long live the King -
Bingo, either too high beforehand or excited but for his 2217th episode the amount he talks over Brian again and again and again does get pretty mucking annoying. The rants trying to be specific using vague terms and approximations to make points as if they were fact is just painful after a while. ''Brian Cox is gonna be on today, I'm gonna learn so much'' > proceeds to talk over Brian for first hour of the podcast 👍
I'm English. First came across Prof. Brian Cox in his original wonders of the universe series around about 15 years ago or so. He has always communicated clearly and concisely difficult concepts and studies and always in a captivating way. A great figure in bringing astro physics to the public and I'm glad he has an international reach.
He really is easy to listen to and comprehend, breaks the more complicated aspects a little easier to grasp for the layman; also doesn't come pretentious at all, He's one of our favorite JRE guests
@@jjd1799 inquisitive minds are getting rarer these days. So many of us have cluttered up brains from FB, Insta and Snapchat and don’t even realize it.
For as long as I can remember I've preferred Brian over all the other popular, living "science communicators" - him and David Kipping are my two faves, hands down. Eloquent, soothing voice, not pompous, abrasive, condescending or full of himself and really gifted at distilling complex ideas and does so beautifully.
It’s one thing to be a brilliant scientist/astrophysicist etc., but it’s another to also be a brilliant communicator of those subjects, and convey a contagious sense of childlike wonder at the world/universe all around us. To distill incredibly complex theories and principles down to a level where the average person can grasp them and take them to heart. Brian Cox, Carl Sagan and Richard Feynman are among the few who did/do just that.
Brian is one of my all time favorite documentary hosts. Brilliant and humble, a rare combination. Still genuinely awed by our universe and full of the wonder that is childlike and fresh. We need more souls like him in our inverse!
Indeed. Brian Cox wants you to know, whereas Neil Degrasse Tyson wants you to know that he knows! I love how humble Brian is. Number one physicist for me! 😊
I genuinely feel smarter after listening to this guy talk. NDT can have that effect but he still has this condescending tone like he wants to make sure that you know that he's smarter than you. Brian speaks about this stuff so effortlessly and seems to genuinely enjoy talking about stuff he's knowledgeable on.
Joe man, love ya...been watching a long ass time.....but please, let people talk. Brian Cox is brilliant. Please let people like this speak more. They are the experts...
He has a bad habit of “my show, I’ll interrupt u, but u better not interrupt me” as well as, once his minds made up, he sticks to it and nobody can NOT be argued with. But I still love him, he’s one of best
I got SO excited when I saw your guest is Brian Cox. Immediately clicked as soon as I saw the notification. I'll take scientists over comedians any day. So fascinating!
@TheStupidDetectiv That's totally fine. We should have a wide variety of guests on. Personally, I'm way more excited when a scientist or academic comes onto the podcast since I'm an information sponge.
Joe Rogan is sitting across from one of the greatest minds of our generation and one of the most captivating people in science and he is spending half the time talking over him and not giving him a chance to say anything... like bro... there is so much you can learn from him if you take a breath and just condense what you wanna say into fewer words Edit: I posted the original comment about 30min into the video. After getting further into the episode I did notice that Joe spent more time listening and asking shorter questions rather than talking for minutes at a time
Absolutely hated this when watching it. Rogan has a huge ego and god complex and just doesn’t stand being wrong in a discussion. Rogan strayed way off the path of discussion that Brian was interested in.
@@AnemoneNazuka I'm from the UK, so I've seen Brain Cox since forever, he's always been this way. Very positive and smiley, good guy feeling that makes people interested in science without feeling boring. When he was younger he used to remind me of Keanu Reeves
I love how comfortable Brian Cox is with saying he doesn’t know when he really doesn’t know. Shows intellectual maturity and humility, a rare but invaluable trait.
Think Joe needs to remember, his show became great by letting his guests speak. These days, Joe is speaking more than the guest... I want to hear their ideas/thoughts not you pushing yours Joe.
Joe might also just be in "excited puppy" mode in the early part of the podcast - it's probably been a while since he's got a chance to nerd out and ask science questions, so he was excited.
My uncle went to school with Brian. He was in his classes and was friends with him. He has always been the most amazing person and has true passion for science. Genuinely one of the greatest minds of recent time

Joe kept interrupting and throwing up absurd notions when Brian was getting to really interesting parts of topics, then they would not come back to it! I love you Joe but for God sake, zip it when you’ve got someone this intelligent teaching us such amazing things
@ With respect, he pulled it in to the perspective of all the halfwits listening and made it unbearable for the rest of us. Really disappointing episode wasted.
What were you watching? Maybe you want to listen to a lecture, not a conversation between two individuals with different upbringings and ideologies. I saw multiple instances where joe brought up things that made Brian second guess even what he thought he knew.
Brian’s my fav JRE scientist. He was on around 2019ish promoting a live show he was touring. Heard about it on JRE, told my gf I wanted to go, she bought us tix for our as an anniversary gift for me, we went, AND I MET JOE THERE! Had a chat for a minute, got a selfie w him, n then watched the show (which was awesome).
Joe really needs to let Brian talk/finish a point. Especially when Joe himself can't decide on what question he's trying to ask and then when Brian tries to answer all 6 of them, Joe then answers one himself and moves on

A little known fact about Brian Cox - He used to be the keyboardist in a fairly famous British band called D Ream. You may remember their song ‘Things can only get better’ which was their biggest hit.

As someone who has a masters in physics, Brian explains physics so much clearer than any other guest. bro XAI220P is the best thing you said, just perfect
I don't know how to explain this. Sometimes in life people ask you to explain something and while you explain it, you have a realization that just unlocks something. Rogan is the perfect person to ask questions whilst Brian seems absolutely happy to answer in the hopes he had that moment. That fella is so interesting and pleased to be asked questions.
I can’t. I hate the explanation’s. If it’s basically an imploded star that’s been sucking in energy for billions of years, I’d think the radiation around it would be immense.

Brian's voice is so calming omg
No one likes hearing Joe talk more than Joe.. wow he goes 10 minutes straight multiple times without letting one of the smartest men on the planet talk
Its called a conversation. It isn't a speech.
I was thinking the same thing. Like is he high? 😂😂 first time I got lost listening to the guy and just kept skipping to the parts where it was js Brian talking lol
It's really irritating how he waltzes over Brian multiple times and goes on his tangents. Brian is so so patient.
@2509jacqueline I noticed that actually he was talking and interrupting a lot more than usual 😂 I swear he took something beforehand I kept trying look at his eyes and man 😂😂😂
JR ruined this show for me.
