Considering that i never liked the first captain marvel movie it only makes sense why i wouldn't check the sequel out, But i am curious on whether it is fun bad or unironically bad
I really enjoyed it. I agree with some of the criticisms but the hate is so unwarranted. Iman is delightful and definitely shined. The dynamics of the three characters switching in the middle of battle was so cool.
The antagonists in these films and television series fall short. They are pivotal to the movies, but this particular one left me indifferent; she had some commendable moments but overall felt mediocre. Marvel's blunder was evident with the introduction of Thanos and the spectacular finale that invigorated their fan base. However, the subsequent challenge lies in presenting adversaries on par with basic ass DC like villains versus overpowering superheroes. While the longing for characters like Captain America, Iron Man, and Black Panther is understandable, their retirements or unfortunate departures should temper expectations. Acknowledging Iron Man's cinematic journey since 2008, it's unreasonable to harbor resentment for the absence of these iconic figures. Nevertheless, the critique extends to the perceived laziness in the writing of recent productions. Although the original films weren't cinematic masterpieces, they offered a sense of enjoyment. Despite this, the latest movie wasn't entirely terrible. I found it enjoyable; the fight scenes were impressive, and the characters originated from TV shows that hadn't garnered a substantial fan base. Convincing people to see the film required explaining the characters, which speaks to the lesser-known nature of their origins. In essence, the movie wasn't outstanding, but it was far from a disappointment. Marvel is grappling with the challenge of satisfying nostalgic fans while also discovering capable writers. While I may not opt for a rewatch, it served as a reasonable cinematic experience, considering the current transitional phase for Marvel.
If you offered to pay me $100 and gave me a free ticket, I still wouldnt take the 2 hours out of my life to watch this film. People like you who support this low tier garbage are killing the MCU far, far more than the "racist, sexist trolls" the media loves to harp on about.
I think the film is average overall. It is indeed Miss Marvel who remains the most interesting character. For the rest, the film could have been a lot deeper in its exploration of the relationships between the characters as you said and that is the most important problem here. Because as a result, the film is between two waters... it fails to make me like the characters. If we take into consideration the budget... the film which is already average then becomes bad.
If this is what is considered "average over all" to you then you REALLY need to watch better television lol. There is no way this comes above "dogshit"
@theincrediblefella7984 Yeah, I understand where you're coming from. Perhaps because I'm not a Marvel fan, much less a fan of "girl power" films, I had no expectations, so I'm not disappointed. My girlfriend was ready to see it. Fun fact, she was a little upset after the movie, she didn't like it at all.
Personally I think this movie tried but not to the expectations of the majority of the mcu fan base that why I actually gave it a 2/10, why rewatch Captain America first movie 🤷
Hated it and I seriously don’t get how you can like it. I am serious. As you said no depth. You said you liked it silliness. The humor is like saying pull my thumb and then farting. So predictable and not funny. You gave 20 reasons why it is bad and only 4 for why you liked it. You said it doesn’t move along. You said they didn’t do character development. Sorry, but if the plot is bad and character development is not there, how can this be enjoyable? You also mentioned all the sub plots being disconnected. You said you found the cat scenes funny. I found it like 14 year old girl jokes. This movie is as bad as it’s box office. They spent more on advertising alone than they will get out of the U.S. ticket sales.
Ya I didn’t think it was great or even really good by any means I just felt it wasn’t AS BAD as some people felt it was. Keep in mind it’s also easier to talk about things that didn’t work in a movie sometimes rather than what did, because it’s more obvious and jumps out at you more. Overall, thought it was Okay. Not horrible but not great
I haven't watched the movie yet, i will watch it but it sounds as though you're really trying to squeeze out an excuse for this movie for not being bad when there is a lot of things pointing it out to be bad. For me personally, I prefer a more serious kind of film like the winter soldier movie was.
I actually prefer the more serious stuff as well (winter soldiers my favourite MCU film). Not trying to squeeze out an excuse for the movie, I literally gain nothing from doing that.
There is are These guys like yellow Flash and Geeks and gamers and the MCsheU guy that just hate on anything Marvel, to the point you can't trust your opinion on the movie because they're so one-sided.
There are plenty of people on the other side, including much of the mainstream, that just love everything Marvel does hook-line and sinker no matter whether it is good or not. There is no difference between these 2 sides except that the M-She-U side is growing insanely quickly and the "support everything even if it sucks" side seems to be losing power, reach and sway with every awful MCU film and show that they pretend to pump up, only to further disappoint, chase away and alienate the fanbase.
That would make a really awkward p*rn film if they switiched places while doing the deed. 😅 Or maybe a really hot one! 🤯
Pitch the idea to the studios
I thought it was terrible. Maybe the worst marvel movie yet.
Worse than Quantumania?
@@ElvisMenezes1 a very close second.
@@ElvisMenezes1 I think so yes.
Nah you definitely tripping

Honestly that last part will depend who you ask 😂
I’ve seen too many credit scenes not have any follow up at this point to not care about em anymore.
Fair point

250 mil for this movie? come on marvel
where blade?
Ya the budget was crazy
The villain wants to take the Earth's atmosphere. I dont think it is consistent with the "this film is just for fun" vibe. But okay.
Absolutely. That was kinda what I meant by the “universe is in danger” part
Thanks for the vid but no
