Man, I love Duck Hunt's implementation in Smash. He's just so unique and off-the-wall yet solid, and delivers a great spectator experience. Not only is he 1 of only 2 quadrupedal fighters in the game (and even then Ivysaur doesn't have his own spot on the roster), but he combines the dog, the duck, the light gun user, and other light gun games together so concisely into one moveset. His specials (besides Up Special) are super out-there and really interesting. They have so many possibilities for combos, in ways no other fighter demonstrates. He's a conglomeration of so many things and it somehow works. Duck Hunt almost feels like playing a real time strategy game, with you controlling a whole army at once (the dog, the duck, the hunter, the cans, the clay pigeons, and the gang members).
Dude this character has so much more potential than I originally though it did. These setups and combos are way too cool. Time to map my shield button to special :0
People say the hero is Trunks/Android 17, or "ThE ClOsEsT wE wIlL hAvE tO gOkU oN sMaSh" and nobody bats an eye. Someone says banjo is just a duck hunt skin and eveybody loses their minds.
I know this video is 2 months old, but I want to correct you on Duck Hunt's down special: The Gunman is NOT completely random. You will summon ALL gunmen and then they are shuffled again. what means, the first gunman is completely random, but if you remember all gunmen you called in the first 4 down specials (or if you just remember which one is missing) you know 100% which one you will get in your next down special! This is also written in the tips section for duck hunt duo! (I could not find a comment stating this so far, that's why I did it! Could not let this "lie" about the gunman stay like this :D)

About the recovery + can technique: you dont have to alternate flicking the control stick and the b button; after inputing a direction for DH to fly, they will keep flying in that general direction until you input something else (like airdodge to ledge).
As a duck hunt main I gotta say this is a good basic breakdown. I hope you make one in further detail about the can and how it flies when hit for future duck hunt mains.
Minor correction, the gunman aren't completely random. The 2 most recently used gunmen will not not show up. So it is possible to plan with them in a similar fashion to card counting if that makes sense.
random suggestion that may be a cool addition to these: add a side bar which shows how much dmg each move does (min/max) and give it a rating like "SS" or "B" or whatever :p having that side bar thingy open would also give the video more structure and we would know which moves uve already covered idk if editing that in would be too much work tho ;S

I tried playing duck hunt today, right before this video. Random cpu. It was link. I had no idea how to hit the up tilt. So I looked up how to play duck hunt and ended up here. Cool to know not being able to hit up tilt on link wasn’t my fault haha

Art Golem don’t use down throw as a pro dh player DO NOT USE DOWN THROW nothing is true. Maybe at high percent try down throw up air but forward is your main combo follow up.

Choc: Down air is easy to get both hitboxes 500 matches later as Duck Hunt: I have hit the duck spike 3 times and got meteor'd by the opponent character the other 497
Can does not become more powerful the more times you ping it. Try joining a character discord when making these videos so you don't have misinformation in them. Also, the way you are detonating clay pigeons... not true combos. They would be able to act out of it.
In Smash Ultimate, the 5 Gunmens appeared if you use the move 5 times but the order of the appearance of each Gunman is RNG. But I'm not sure if a single Gunman can appeared 2 times in a row...
