The trampoline is actually a fantastic offensive tool as well. It comes out super fast and so can be used to get away from an opponent too close to you. You can also make all kinds if traps with it, limiting the opponents movement on stage.
Also I've used it to force them to bounce up into a recaught melon I flung up. One of my proudest moments lol... using up special onstage... people NEVER see it coming >:D
Bobbi Bantobi I killed a Robin at basically. 0% because I had it on the red trampoline, hit her with first hit of jab causing her to air dodge (to tech, obviously) and she hit the trampoline and died. My favorite Pac-Man moment, however, was when I put a trampoline at the ledge with the fire hydrant and charged fsmash on the platform. They couldn’t do anything 😂

More stuff you can do as Pac Man: 1. Online Taunt your opponent by crouching and then "crawling" (more like waddling.) back and forth. *NINTENDO WOULD LIKE TO KNOW YOUR LOCATION* 2. Make your projectiles faster by placing a fire hydrant and throw your selected fruit (or key/Bell/Boss Galaxian) at the water to send it flying.
That second one works really well for the slow melon and the bell (the bell gets sent at a triangular angle for some reason. It can almost make it all the way over Smashville)
PAC-MAN is one of the most underrated characters in this game in my opinion, along with Mega Man and Bowser Jr. While I'm not a PAC-MAN main, he is definitely one of my submains.

I like to launch the hydrant up with the apple after tilt attacking it, and then back throw people into it. I don't mean to boast but I've done that before and dear God it looks awesome in replay.
It's such a versatile tool. I made and uploaded a Pac-Man montage recently and so much of it is crazy interactions with Hydrant lol. I love that thing.
On a serious note, can we give our boy Ridley some love? He was so desired in Ultimate, only to discover that our beloved pterasoaur is not that great. He is one of my mains, along Bowser, KKR, and the Banana Slammer himself, and would be amazing to see him covered on your channel.
I’ve been studying Pac-Man A secret I found about him is His FAIR does 2 more damage if you do it after grabbing the ledge I believe this is to allow you to double hit hydrant Rather than having to hit it 3 times 7 damages requires 3 kicks 9 dammage requires 2 kicks Which allows you to do edge tricks
Interesting stuff. I mained Pac-Man in tr4sh and I was super salty when I found out you could no longer cancel his neutral special with another special. I like fruit looping but I hate not being able to z-drop more than once. I also hate his utilt. But other than that I still love pacman, 'cause I'm a character loyalist and wanted him in smash since I was younger.
Idk if you'll see this, but if you regrab and press b instead, you do the normal throw and can regrab again, this is useful on bell and orange especially
One thing I’ve discovered is that if someone recovers low you can place the trampoline when on the ledge before they climb up which forces them to hop and you could initiate combos that way as well
Also, depending on the enemy, you just short hop Fair> Falling Fair > Short hop Fair > Falling Fair and so on off stage when you’re enemy is at 0%. It’s pretty handy against heavies.
Pac man is fucking crazy when you learn how to use him. People mainly focus on his last 3 bonus fruit but all his fruit are useful. Especially his melon. I love throwing the melon and then running in to pressure. It's super safe. If the person shields I get their shield super low and can grab. They hit me the melon hits them I get a free combo breaker. I hit them and I get more damage. He is such an underrated character that honestly takes a lot of skill to main

Some missed details: Power pellet has a sweet spot if you do a full extension and you hit someone right at the tip. You misspoke when talking about up tilts, you said "unfortunately, like his up smash, it doesn't have a hitbox in front of him" however the up smash does have a front hitbox. Would have also liked to hear about the trampoline special properties; ie if you land an enemy on the red trampoline they go into instant freefall. This makes an awesome deathtrap when people are trying to recover.

If you forward air them off the edge, it’s possible to continue hitting them with forward airs until they’re far off the stage. It’s a great kill strategy against characters with bad recoveries

This only scratched the surface I find Pac has 5 style Trapping Tricking Reversing Edging Fighting But this video gave me good ideas on some fighting combos That’s will really take my Pac to the next level There’s great set ups that this video would have to be 30 minutes to really go in depth on Pac man.
Only 30? You could honesty make a video that's an hour on how much he can do. I main him, mained him for a while now, and this shit he can do STILL surprises me at times.

As a Pac-Main, I can confirm this. It takes quite a while to master all his ridiculous tech and to consistently pull off his wacky traps and setups, but it is more than worth it. He has easily the most adaptable, fluid playstyle in the game.

You can use Power-pellet after a Fire Hydrant when you're on top of it to get a double hit with the Fire Hydrant and Power-pellet Pac-Man.
Wait, how does that work? I'm curious, I've done a lot of stuff off the top of the Hydrant but I've never seen that interaction before.
Vivek Tarkunde Pacman’s side B goes through the hydrant. Similar to his up special, but the hydrant will be launched as if it was hit by an fsmash
