Very Cool. Can you tell us what you did differently on the 2nd manifold vs the 1st manifold you worked on? I saw your most recent porting vid but am wondering if you got more aggressive and enlarged the intake plenum/cylinder intakes more than the first one or ??? What do you think made the difference between the two?
I went a little more aggressive to the runner. I made it as flat and straight as possible. The opening for the throttle body is opened up to 85 mm unlike the first intake that is only smoothed out.
0:35 “It would be nice to have a badge in the back that said ‘Powered by SRT’”. There actually is, and it looks sick. I have the metal one that BJ’s Garage made before they closed down, so you technically can’t buy it anymore. Now other knock off brands make the same badge but in bendy plastic and it doesn’t give the same appearance. I managed to get my hands on the metal badge a couple months ago. I went around Instagram asking everyone if they knew anyone who bought one from BJs Garage before they closed down, and was willing to sell it. I managed to find one person. They’re still out there man! Just very rare and hard to find.
Scat Speed I’ve see on those too the scat pack ones. It would make sense that any hemi powered by SRT should have some sort of an SRT badge on it to signify that it has an SRT engine. The scat pack is the only challenger with an SRT engine without SRT badges (except for the TA 392 I’m pretty sure), so I feel like the “SRT powered” badge justifies it. Not that I have anything against the red RT badge, it’s just that when I see the red ‘RT’ all I think is 5.7, which a scat pack is definitely not haha
R/T Life lol yeah those 12 minutes went by fast, and the butt dyno was off the chart...lol. Alright I did notice a small improvement over my other intake manifold. Now I need a tune and throttle body to make the most of it.
Yes you can physically install a 392 hemi intake on your 5.7 but I don’t know if the 5.7 air box will adapt to the 6.4 intake. Take a look at the air box for the power wagon. Since it already has a 6.4 in it.
@@scatspeed3114 Hey brother, I have a stock intake manifold and a 90mm BBK TB and I have noticed way more torque off the line (worse DA) and I gained about 1-1.5mph on every 1/8 mile run with a SLOWER ET (DA, Moisture and grip were the issue).
Look inside and it should be closed be fore you reinstall the actuator for the runners. You can use long nose pliers to rotate the shaft for the runners so you can see how they work too.
Did toy tune your car to get the ported intake manifold on? I want to do mine bt I'm not sure if I have to tune it or no so infer I have e85, ported throttle body, and intake, great video u got a new subscription!!!
Hi sir I was wondering if I may call u with a issue I'm having. I change the 392 manifold to the 5.7 I extended the map sensor and the IAT sensor and fold the online instructions for the MSD circuit boss hook Up now the car runs really choppy and hesitant like a miss fire the car won't rev pass 3K with popping and choppy. The codes I'm having now our throttle actuator Hi Flo air detected and map sensor but the map sensor code went away. Do you have any information what this can be?
What's going on dude great videos... I'm new to the SRT world....silly me If there's a chance you can make a video on a 06 - on SRT8 Chargers much appreciated.
@@scatspeed3114 thanks for the reply. I do have one but what concerns me is a water temperature gauge goes from the center a little bit over and back to Center again and a little bit over.... But thanks a mil
Do u gotta do anything with tuning if your just replacing stock intake manifold and throttle body with stock ones just because it got in a minor accident
Jim Nocks no Tuning required for 100% stock parts on the same car. The throttle body might need to be programmed at the dealership from what a tech tells me, but I’m not certain since I’ve never installed a brand new throttle body on my my car before. I’ve just disconnected and then reconnect the stock original parts. Good luck buddy.
Damn good remove and reinstall video. Thanks for this! Will come in handy. Also, for your intake manifold porting, did you use MMX or Peakspeed, also which did you prefer and why? ( I know mmx is cnc and peakspeed does by hand) I've had work done by peakspeed on another platform with excellent results.
I did my own port matching and cleanup of the runners. It felt a noticeable improvement. I wanted to send an intake to mmx to see there work. Just never got around to doing it. I do hear that MMX ported intake manifolds are really good. I don’t know much about peakspeed.
It’s really not that much more air flow it’s pretty much matching the numbers the engineers wanted the intake to flow. So I say to make the most of the intake, tuning would be the best to adjust all parameters.
Awesome video, brother! I was about to rip that MAP sensor out of there by force if it weren't for your helpful instructions.
Thank you, I have been looking for the torque specs for the intake manifold bolts and I found it in your video 🤟🤟🤟
Thanks for the great first hand video. You have to report back on it you can tell a difference between the two ported intakes.
Hemi Head I definitely felt a stronger pull from a 60 roll. I ran an m3 and it had no chance.

Can i use this same torque sequence on chrysler 300c 5.7
How many ground wire are on the engine wiring harness
hey, can you tell what inch-pound torque you used?
Does the butt dyno notice any difference? Great job on the install - only took you 12 minutes to!

I'm a new subscriber to both of your channels. I'm learning a lot from both of you. Can a 392 intake go fit a ram 5.7L? I don't see anyone doing it.

Great video I've got to tell you I love that yellow toolbox I'm pretty sure it's a Snap-On right. Need to put a couple of bees on that car LOL
I’ve already put some Bees on it😎
How do you tell if the runners are closed before install of the solenoid. I just ordered mine. This is very helpful thank you
Look inside at the valve and it should be sitting flush
Great video. Always wanted to know, what's the point of torquing something to a certain "foot lb" ?
Thank you
Tyler Ellis sorry for not answering your question, but it’s to distribute the clamping force evenly, and to avoid damaging seals and gaskets.

Look inside and it should be closed be fore you reinstall the actuator for the runners. You can use long nose pliers to rotate the shaft for the runners so you can see how they work too.
Any tips on removing the vacuum line? I’m having trouble removing it as we speak.
Were you able to remove the hose with the pliers?
Do I disconnect battery? And empty out any fluids? Or no need to empty any fluids?

No tune needed for a ported throttle body and ported intake manifold.

What does it mean if there is oil accumulated there?
What brand of torque wrench are you using it works good i see

Easiest thing to try first is replace your thermostat. Might take care of your problem.
How many miles on your car when you did this? I need to get a catch can as well
It was around 28,000 miles
