Took about 1hr to oull the stock manifold off and put the new 6.4 on and bolt up an 87mm ported TB and 6.4 afe Cold air intake. Only had an hour of day light so going to connect the srv harness tomorrow which looks like mmx gave enough length to run it inside rather than screw it to fuse box like i see in most videos. My catch can hasn't arrived i bought that on eBay it was $40 for the same basic can that costs $150 but shipping is alot slower from eBay than mmx . I just took the old boots and cut a section of 3/8 hose for temp solution . I now need to pretty this thing up as the old manifold cover doesn't fit the 6.4 I might be able to trim it and cut a hole for the passenger rear corner where the map sits on the 6.4 but I'm thinking new billet covers . The Only reason I didn't want to do this swap was losing the cover ad the plastic manifold isn't very sexy. Still have to install the long tubes and new msd coil packs along with getting the custom hemi fever tune made ...lol ... These diablo sport tubers and hemi tuners in general kind of suck compared to the EFI live platform for my 6.7 Cummins with thise you can upload 5 tunes into the ecu and with the csp 5 switch kust turn thr dial 1-5 to select from 5 different tunes on the fly . I ordered a NOS systems wet throttle plate kit which i plan ro run at around 75-100 possibly 50-75 . I think i could get a mire mild tune that allows the nitrous without a second tune but most of the time I'm not using nitrous so most likely going to have to swap tunes ... Just dont understand why the Diablo sport hemi platform isnt able to do what EFI live platform can do with Cummins ecu multi tune o programming.
@@ReidPerformance Yeah diablo is ok with custom tuning vs the canned stuff. I might look into the HP tuners stuff but I'm not a Honda v-tec owner with a laptop on my center console and a vape pipe hanging from my neck ;-)
back again lol. I have almost all the parts to start the swap. Just one last question, are you able to use the manifold bolts from the 5.7 manifold on the 6.4? I have a barebones 6.4 manifold, OEM Active runner actuator from mopar, same with 6.4 map sensor, all the throttle body gaskets and intake manifold gaskets along with new o-rings for the injectors. I hav the PCV hose, all I have left is the MSD box that I have to get before I dive in.
Ok real world dyno Numbers for a full long tube header and full track style 3 inch back exhaust with a fully functioning 6.4 intake manifold and a tune to maximize them ? Ram 1500 has 395/410 stock the Durango and jeep grand Cherokee only 360/390 which look to be from mildly better intake and exhaust from factory?
Hey Reid just installed my manifold msd was reading rpms then intake made a clapping noise went away and threw code p0108 you think I wires incorrectly ?
@christianwilliams1894 if you have a pre eagle 5.7… you will need to upgrade to the newer eagle cylinder heads. As the bolt patterns are different (if I’m not mistaken)
What did you do about the fuel line being in a new location for the new intake manifold? I have an 08 5.7 with the 392 manifold and the fuel line does not reach around to the new spout. Any advice is much appreciated!
@@ReidPerformance yes i have. Manifold is on and connected and car runs but i had to make a fuel line with hose just for testing. My nitrous adapter needs to have an oem fitting though and am wondering how the stock fuel line reached around in your case. Im guessing the 2009+ hemi 5.7 already had the fuel line in that area?
What’s going on bro I have 2015 Dodge Durango RT but I just did a swap and put a 6.4L engine and I need this but Im not sure which one to get. Online I’m seeing thats its different prices
I just picked up my swap kit from MMX. I run a Diablo PCM and tuner.. was hoping you would be willing to share your air and fuel ratios and whatever else you think I should change when tuning after the swap? Any help would be appreciated. Not running e85, just a 91 octane tune, a cold air intake, catback exhaust, and 10.5 wheels in the rear and 9.5 in the front.
@@ReidPerformance no worries there but would you still be able to share your fuel and air ratios? Those are universal all the way across the board regardless of the tuner.
Are the 5.7 map sensors compatible with the 6.4 intakes? I just bought my 6.4 intake manifold but it has no sensor no hoses or caps and no active runner module
@therealnbk9432 yes the sensors are compatible. The only difference is the 6.4 map sensor has a bolt hole where the 5.7 sensor is a twist in. You’ll need the SRV module bolted in to prevent any vacuum leaks. Everything else transfers over
@@ReidPerformance how long does it take you to port it out I love your car built but you did not run it to here here how much hp you got cams to headers who installed them
Awesome work brodi 🫡 I got a Durango 5.7 tow n go with the SRT performance exhaust it makes 400 to 414 factory on the dyno. I'm gonna long tube it throttle body and hellcat air filter it and tune it up should push 479 485 HP. Am i off..??🎉
Yes you are a little bit. (Dynos have variations) if this was my dyno.. your 5.7 would make near the 340 range. Long tubes on 91 will put you in the 360 range. Wheel horsepower of course
I always watch these videos. Plan to do these upgrades from your vids when I get my Chrysler 300s with the 5.7 Hemi

Yes there is a harness. This particular person is running the intake without the runners active

Hi do you need a MSD control module for the 6.4 intake swap
No. MMX makes a SRV harness that I have a video about on my channel

What wires did you use to extend the map sensor and would it be the same wires if I needed to extend my IAT sensor
@DarkRevulsion I used 16 or 18 gauge automotive wire from Amazon.
Yes you can use the same wire

Could be bad wires, it’s not installed all the way, or connector isn’t on completely

The 392 manifold should bolt onto your vehicle. You will just need the 6.4 style intake to complete the set up
