Enjoyed the video and your commentary. You can feel your excitement and happiness, i was right there happy for you. My 1st car was a 1990 integra and it drove so smooth. I loved that car, it was already 14 uears old i think when i got it and it was in pristine condition. Not interested in the integra but the type s! I want it lol maybe a used one in the near future.

As foe tint, the same place did it. I went limo in the back and you'll do whatever they allow for the front. Tint is a requirement in my opinion :) looks so good!

Wow, that’s so cool to see you drive your 90’s Integra and checked out new Integra at dealership. Tiger Gold with copper rims looked awesome and white one looked nice, thanks for this video! I went to check the white and black Integra at dealership last Saturday, I already fell in love that car, car looked badass! White one on copper wheels and black/red interior with accessories cost $65k, and black with graphite wheels with black and red stitching looked cool, cost $ 52,295 without accessories. 😝
It's a bit of a sting, isn't it--the 50k price is totally worth it. It's definitely a high-performance vehicle, and once I have more time with it, I'll know truly if 60k is worth it. I would not be spending more than 60k MSRP plus accessories, but a fully loaded one, even with many cool features is about 60k and I could see that....much more....well, probably not teehee The 98 Integra was a really cool experience driving it to pick up the Integra Type S...almost like a flood of memories came back to me, and with tje absence of th3 Integra nameplate for so long, was like meeting a long-lost relative for the first time 😄
How did you think the black with red interior looked? I wanted tiger eye or apex blue but a black one came available. I figured the black would look washed out with the black accents. Please tell me I’m sadly mistaken. I’ve had lots of black cars before 😂
@pierre598 I've really loved the look of the Black interior...actually, if you look closely, it's red underneath the perforations, so I think it looks pretty dope! Also, the stitching is red, so they've done the black interior quite well. If you are a black-car sorta enthusiast, I'd so totally go for it. It'll hide the lines a lot more, but if that doesn't bother you, it will look freaking sleak. All preference, but any color you can get will likely look awesome. The Apex Blue does look stunning, and the Tiger Eye Pearl really looks amazing in person and shows all the lines and contours off! I know, difficult decisions, right?!
I just got back from by second test drive, this time un-escorted!!! It goes slow very well. It is well behaved until about 3500 rpm, then it takes off. Laughing is mandatory. And then there is the handling. Wonderful tracking but a few odd sensations when making a u turn. I now have a build date and have selected accessories. Only remaining is electronics installation. The dealer will install after market radar detectors et al, and to get a price will require detailed conversations. I love your videos, my favorites are the trip to Long Beach and the snow challenges. I will finish watching your present video now :)

This video is awesome! I got the same feeling when I purchased my 24 Integra A-Spec Elite in October. I drove 3 hours to pick her up. I was excited and nervous at the same time so I totally get it! This is my first Integra, but I always wanted one in High School. Now 28 years later I am able to finally own one. Coming from an Alfa Romeo Giulia, the Teggy is way better!! The Type S is the goal but need to learn how to use Manual Transmission. lol. Keep the TYPE S video going!!! Cheers!
@amerikmasters Wow! I've heard some good things about the AR Giulia! That's quite a compliment to Acura. I agree tho, it handles really well! The Aspec model is amazing and as far as the 6MT, I never tire of it! Supremely easy entry into the manual transmission 😀 I created a tutorial about how to drive manual in the Integra so you could check it out but I'm sure you have the basics down and only gets better! The Type S is a COMPLETELY different animal. The Aspec is an outstanding daily driver, but the Type S can be nearly as good. Not as good fuel economy, and not as good clearance, but aside from that, they are both extremely livable. I never owned an Integra until my early 20s and fell in love with the car, and then 20 years later, HAD to buy the car because Acura is really going back to their roots in performance! Woohoo! @plasmadaeDal they call the A-Spec with Tech package Elite. The bolt ons have made a huge difference. The intercooler and Charge pipe made the turbo more responsive. The high volume intake and Turbo Inlet pipe makes the engine perform better in the mid to high range while providing a nice audible turbo spool. The rear motor mount grabs the engine so well that the shifts and acceleration is smooth, but the caveat is a bit of vibration that I actually prefer. The N1 exhaust has a nice deep tone and isn’t too loud. It sounds similar to your stock Type S exhaust. One of the most important upgrades was tuning my car with KTuner V2 and the Phearable 1.5T tune. Phearable is a great website that supports my DE4 and your DE5. That alone woke the engine up. No rev hang and the low to high range is so much better. Zero CELS and you can revert back to Factory. KTuner V2 is touchscreen and logs real time data that you want to focus on. Congrats on the new Teggy S coming to you! I did limo in the back, and I asked as dark as they could in front, so whatever you can do. Definitely ups the level with the tint.
I think they are awesome looking! They tie up the back Diffuser look and they make the car look even more aggressive. The only thing I'm worried about is the long-term rubbing on the actual body of the car because it's basically plastic on plastic. Otherwise, they look great!
Congrats man beautiful color. I thought the copper wheels on the tiger's eye pearl would look a little weird, but I stand corrected this looks insane!!! I agree with not getting the blacked out out rear emblem, the silver emblem makes it look a little more classy too. Is it possible to get the front type S badge blacked out though and not the rest? I feel like the silver over the all black grill ruins the aesthetic there a little bit. I'm waiting until early next year to go for mine, I really wanted TEP too, but you can't get a red interior with that which is what I want. So thinking of going with Liquid Carbon Metallic with the red interior, and copper wheels. Congrats again man looks awesome!
You totally can get each blackout if you want, just tell your dealer and they'll work the magic. The only item you are forced blackout on is the Illuminated AMark, but since it lights up, I'm cool with it, and it looks super dope at night! I hear you on the Red Interior, and that is what I wanted too, but since they didn't have white initially, I chose this. I'm totally a white-car guy, so this was deviating from my original plan, but in a fun twist of fate, TEP Teggy was available, and I was happy to just get any color haha! I was going back and forth on the copper rims, but I made my own mock up to finally decide. Check my insta is you're interested in the picture haha, but seeing the final product in person, and in the sun was sooooo awesome! Congratulations on new ride! I was surprised that you chose TEP. From your videos I would have thought you were going for either ABP or PWP. I look forward to your driving review of the car. From what I can gather, the car is just a flat out winner. I have a deposit on a white/red one. I'm seventh in line, but number two for white/red. TEP is the most requested color at the dealer where I'm getting mine.

I had serious doubts I'd like it as much as the Platinum White, but when it arrived...I was surprised at how much I actually liked it. My car consultantat the dealer and I talked aboutthe copper rims and i would go back and forth, and finallywe decided to go for it, and it turned out great! We'll see over the long run, but so far it's a magical color. The Platinum White is beautiful, and I'm definitely a White-car guy, to match my other Integras, so I can understand your color choice--it looks beautiful! @@PlasmadaeDal Of all the Type S cars. I think it shows best on the Teg. I wanted to get it, because it's distinctive to the Type S cars, but I would have been 5th in line for that color. White was my #1 choice. As I may have said before, I don't need to go for a test drive. Agreed! It was a clear risk getting them ordered, but ultimately, after some preliminary mockups, determined they would be amazing! I was initially thinking they'd be sweet, but then people would say maybe not, but I kept coming back to it, and my sales dude and I decided it would be dope, and was blown away with how GOOD it actually did look :)

Don’t understand why people cry so much about the stiffness, i could daily this all day. Booked a plane ticket and flew down to cali and picked it up and just arrived home with it. Black pearl color. With the red honda logo it looks awesome
@scrutch666 That is awesome, congrats! I would not mind a Type R at all. I think if your expectations are realistic, then it's totally fine. The CTR feels like a track car in a lot of ways, but if you are not in R mode, it should tone down. I'd very much like to drive the CTR for a day and see how it is, because the Type S and the Type R serve two different purposes in my mind, so when folks compare the two, it's almost like they are missing the point of the cars. The CTR is a perfect car in many ways from my view, and the Type S is a perfect car in many ways...but both are super nice and I love the idea behind both of them. :) You'll need to let me know how you think in a month, because my experience is the 2023 just got better the more I drive it 😀

Ah, man, that sucks! Hopefully they can make it up to you! I was completely surprised when I found out my dealer got an allocation--I'm still shocked honestly. The Integra Type S is worth the wait I think, and so far I am not disappointed. I'll know more in a few weeks how I feel about things, but right now, just grateful and having fun. @@PlasmadaeDal let me also just say that I work at an Acura dealership in Florida and had a successful pre-order of a Blue/Orchid placed on May 11th with my own money but Acura had in the fine print that employees couldn't pre-order the DE5. Surprisingly, people were like. Is that the integra type s? It's so sick in person. My very first car as teen was an integra gsr white just like yours. So some people were like it's super nice but too much on the price tag. A guy had an elantra N, was going in on how it's half the price and more pops and bangs and more track focused haha. I said hey man I'm not knocking the Elantra, but out the door integra is roughly 40 more horsepower, nostalgia heaven and limited production the price tag is pretty spot on. It's the closest thing I can thing of that would give me the same experience that my s2000 gave me that i just sold a month ago because i had my eye on this, and plus i have 2 young kids, so I wasn't able to drive it as often as I wanted so this was the perfect replacement. If I didn't have young kids, I would have hands down replaced my s2000 with a supra for a little more money then the ITS. However, price is spot on for the ITS, 5k-10k mark up and even up to 15k mark up on the east coast nooooo thanks lol.
@Scarface6009 Sounds like you had a great time! It's always an interesting discussion when comparing completely different cars against each other haha! I agree, the pricing of what you get for the Integra Type S is spot on. They need to make money on this car and in the long term, it's a great car to have. People need to look away at the sting of the proce just a little bit...it is more than anticipated, but I will tell you this, it is MUCH BETTER, than I thought it would be. It competes with quality cars like the TLX S. Keep having fun, it's definitely keeping me happy right now, and is EASILY one of the best looking cars on the road :)

@scrutch666 I haven't had a chance to drive the CTR yet, but when I was in Long Beach, talking to the Acura engineers, they were saying that they were testing both cars in Mojave on their track, and of course, the CTR is an awesome car, so they didn't say anything bad about it, but what they did say was the CTR is very much a track car, and you feel it being a track car on a daily. The Integra Type S is tuned differently, but it's a car that can really tone down and feel very comfortable to drive. Although Teggy S could EASILY go on the track, which is something I'm looking into, Acura's intent was to make this a super enjoyable and a comfortable daily driver. In talking to my Acura car consultant, he says he thinks it drives as plush as the TLX that he drives, which is a really great car. When I'm in comfort mode, don't get me wrong, it's still super stable, but there is a stark contrast to Sport Plus! The thing is, in Sport Plus, which is where you wanna be for having fun, it's STILL comfortable. Think about that, Acura has taken everything good from the CTR and made it a much more drivable daily car. You'll never tire of it's handling, and this is from me putting down only 320 miles worth...it's super comfy! They have tuned Integra S differently than the CTR, so that it is the "Ultimate" in street performance. It's looks are also WAAAAY more sleek than CTR (I feel)....and I love the CTR look, but the Integra Type S design is just stunning, to the point that many look over at it...there are probably more things, but I'll share thoroughly later on the driving aspects as I experience more 😀
@@PlasmadaeDal what confuses me the most about the ctr is to hear how bouncy it is and thats for me a bad setup also for track . Savagegeese said the type s it understeers more at the limit but he said also he will put ohlins on his ctr and get ride of the stock suspension which you basically can do also on the type s and get the same handling or stiffness. He actually shared a track comparison . Will share it here. The type s is definitely faster on the straight than the ctr.

Teehee...I'm actually a white-car guy if you see my other two Teggys, but with the first production, I couldn't necessarily choose my color, and I was just happy to be able to get any color. In a future video, maybe you'll see white ;)
They are definitely competitive siblings, but I dare say the Integra is the crazier sibling of thr two but a bit! Haha! Even though that glorious V6 in the TLX, the Integra has a lot more playfulness and eager to try anything! Not to say TLX S can't, but man! BTW, is your profile picture, your own type R?

Yeah, when I found out, it takes more components to do that and for both seats, it adds up! The motors on the other side, and the electronics involved, it's nuts! But when you are trying to shave weight, you gotta leave on the driver focused items and make some hard decisions for less-critical items
@@PlasmadaeDal there is type r to save weight. Acura means luxury/ premium which this integra has none from the factory. Enthusiast car cant have a moonroof, memory seats, power seats is beyond me. The exterior is really nice but the interior has nothing special. Fl5 stands out more and feel special interior wise. I don't mean to offend you its just my 2 cents.
@@syedalam6363 Have you had a chance to sit in the Integra yet? It's definitely a premium interior in a lot of ways. Acura was trying to be more luxury a few years ago to the point they forgot who they were, and we ended up with some straight up, awful designs. Yes, they were more luxury, but they were also hideous and nothing you would want to drive as it didn't capture sportiness and magic! Look at the older MDX, sure, it was nice, but it was as nice as many nicer Buicks :/ So I have basically thrown my assumptions on what Acura was, out the window, to embrace their new direction back to their roots. It's tricky tho, because the car industry has changed so much since the 90s. As recently as a month ago, I also struggled with this because the TLX Type S is more luxury than the regular TLX, right? The MDX Type S is more luxury than the regular MDX, right? Better engine, right? So on this logic, it's a 'more-more" paradigm, meaning more performance, more luxury, right? This is where I was gettimg hung up. The Integra Type S is not meant to be more luxury, and more amenities, although in some ways it is...but it's still a "more-more" paradigm, but harkening back to their roots, its "more performance, and more performance"! This Integra is quite unruly and once you drive it...holy moly, you forget about all the other stuff. Acura is BACK! I'll explain more later, but the experience you get driving this thing is soooooo great, and really reminds you that Acura does their own thing, and captures the magic... they do what they think will nail their pillars, "Precision-Crafted Performance". Does the Integra stay true to PCP? I think it does! :)
Definitely something to consider, and on paper, it may not check all your boxes...so I'll be figuring out if 60k is worth it, but it's most CERTAINLY worth 50k...hands down. Once you feel of its driving characteristics, you get it. Without doing that, you may be doubtful, but this is a special car and Acura knows it, so in the US market at least, definitely charging about the right price 😀 If you're considering it, definitely go test drive the demo car :)

I loved that car, it was already 14 uears old i think when i got it and it was in pristine condition. Not interested in the integra but the type s! I want it lol maybe a used one in the near future.

As foe tint, the same place did it. I went limo in the back and you'll do whatever they allow for the front. Tint is a requirement in my opinion :) looks so good!

Wow, that’s so cool to see you drive your 90’s Integra and checked out new Integra at dealership. Tiger Gold with copper rims looked awesome and white one looked nice, thanks for this video! I went to check the white and black Integra at dealership last Saturday, I already fell in love that car, car looked badass! White one on copper wheels and black/red interior with accessories cost $65k, and black with graphite wheels with black and red stitching looked cool, cost $ 52,295 without accessories. 😝
It's a bit of a sting, isn't it--the 50k price is totally worth it. It's definitely a high-performance vehicle, and once I have more time with it, I'll know truly if 60k is worth it. I would not be spending more than 60k MSRP plus accessories, but a fully loaded one, even with many cool features is about 60k and I could see that....much more....well, probably not teehee
The 98 Integra was a really cool experience driving it to pick up the Integra Type S...almost like a flood of memories came back to me, and with tje absence of th3 Integra nameplate for so long, was like meeting a long-lost relative for the first time 😄
How did you think the black with red interior looked? I wanted tiger eye or apex blue but a black one came available. I figured the black would look washed out with the black accents. Please tell me I’m sadly mistaken. I’ve had lots of black cars before 😂
@pierre598 I've really loved the look of the Black interior...actually, if you look closely, it's red underneath the perforations, so I think it looks pretty dope! Also, the stitching is red, so they've done the black interior quite well. If you are a black-car sorta enthusiast, I'd so totally go for it. It'll hide the lines a lot more, but if that doesn't bother you, it will look freaking sleak. All preference, but any color you can get will likely look awesome. The Apex Blue does look stunning, and the Tiger Eye Pearl really looks amazing in person and shows all the lines and contours off! I know, difficult decisions, right?!

I just got back from by second test drive, this time un-escorted!!! It goes slow very well. It is well behaved until about 3500 rpm, then it takes off. Laughing is mandatory. And then there is the handling. Wonderful tracking but a few odd sensations when making a u turn. I now have a build date and have selected accessories. Only remaining is electronics installation. The dealer will install after market radar detectors et al, and to get a price will require detailed conversations.
I love your videos, my favorites are the trip to Long Beach and the snow challenges. I will finish watching your present video now :)

This video is awesome! I got the same feeling when I purchased my 24 Integra A-Spec Elite in October. I drove 3 hours to pick her up. I was excited and nervous at the same time so I totally get it! This is my first Integra, but I always wanted one in High School. Now 28 years later I am able to finally own one. Coming from an Alfa Romeo Giulia, the Teggy is way better!! The Type S is the goal but need to learn how to use Manual Transmission. lol. Keep the TYPE S video going!!! Cheers!
@amerikmasters Wow! I've heard some good things about the AR Giulia! That's quite a compliment to Acura. I agree tho, it handles really well! The Aspec model is amazing and as far as the 6MT, I never tire of it! Supremely easy entry into the manual transmission 😀
I created a tutorial about how to drive manual in the Integra so you could check it out but I'm sure you have the basics down and only gets better!
The Type S is a COMPLETELY different animal. The Aspec is an outstanding daily driver, but the Type S can be nearly as good. Not as good fuel economy, and not as good clearance, but aside from that, they are both extremely livable.
I never owned an Integra until my early 20s and fell in love with the car, and then 20 years later, HAD to buy the car because Acura is really going back to their roots in performance! Woohoo! Congratulations, my friend!

@amerikmasters What is the Elite trim, is that in Canada? That list looks incredible! How much improvement did you see?!
@plasmadaeDal they call the A-Spec with Tech package Elite. The bolt ons have made a huge difference. The intercooler and Charge pipe made the turbo more responsive. The high volume intake and Turbo Inlet pipe makes the engine perform better in the mid to high range while providing a nice audible turbo spool. The rear motor mount grabs the engine so well that the shifts and acceleration is smooth, but the caveat is a bit of vibration that I actually prefer. The N1 exhaust has a nice deep tone and isn’t too loud. It sounds similar to your stock Type S exhaust. One of the most important upgrades was tuning my car with KTuner V2 and the Phearable 1.5T tune. Phearable is a great website that supports my DE4 and your DE5. That alone woke the engine up. No rev hang and the low to high range is so much better. Zero CELS and you can revert back to Factory. KTuner V2 is touchscreen and logs real time data that you want to focus on.

I think they are awesome looking! They tie up the back Diffuser look and they make the car look even more aggressive. The only thing I'm worried about is the long-term rubbing on the actual body of the car because it's basically plastic on plastic. Otherwise, they look great!
Congrats man beautiful color. I thought the copper wheels on the tiger's eye pearl would look a little weird, but I stand corrected this looks insane!!! I agree with not getting the blacked out out rear emblem, the silver emblem makes it look a little more classy too. Is it possible to get the front type S badge blacked out though and not the rest? I feel like the silver over the all black grill ruins the aesthetic there a little bit. I'm waiting until early next year to go for mine, I really wanted TEP too, but you can't get a red interior with that which is what I want. So thinking of going with Liquid Carbon Metallic with the red interior, and copper wheels. Congrats again man looks awesome!
You totally can get each blackout if you want, just tell your dealer and they'll work the magic. The only item you are forced blackout on is the Illuminated AMark, but since it lights up, I'm cool with it, and it looks super dope at night! I hear you on the Red Interior, and that is what I wanted too, but since they didn't have white initially, I chose this. I'm totally a white-car guy, so this was deviating from my original plan, but in a fun twist of fate, TEP Teggy was available, and I was happy to just get any color haha!
I was going back and forth on the copper rims, but I made my own mock up to finally decide. Check my insta is you're interested in the picture haha, but seeing the final product in person, and in the sun was sooooo awesome!

From what I can gather, the car is just a flat out winner. I have a deposit on a white/red one. I'm seventh in line, but number two for white/red. TEP is the most requested color at the dealer where I'm getting mine.
THANKS! Yeah, in an interesting twist, I ended up getting the TEP! I had serious doubts I'd like it as much as the Platinum White, but when it arrived...I was surprised at how much I actually liked it. My car consultantat the dealer and I talked aboutthe copper rims and i would go back and forth, and finallywe decided to go for it, and it turned out great! We'll see over the long run, but so far it's a magical color.

White was my #1 choice. As I may have said before, I don't need to go for a test drive. Agreed! It was a clear risk getting them ordered, but ultimately, after some preliminary mockups, determined they would be amazing! I was initially thinking they'd be sweet, but then people would say maybe not, but I kept coming back to it, and my sales dude and I decided it would be dope, and was blown away with how GOOD it actually did look :)

@scrutch666 That is awesome, congrats! I would not mind a Type R at all. I think if your expectations are realistic, then it's totally fine. The CTR feels like a track car in a lot of ways, but if you are not in R mode, it should tone down. I'd very much like to drive the CTR for a day and see how it is, because the Type S and the Type R serve two different purposes in my mind, so when folks compare the two, it's almost like they are missing the point of the cars. The CTR is a perfect car in many ways from my view, and the Type S is a perfect car in many ways...but both are super nice and I love the idea behind both of them. :) You'll need to let me know how you think in a month, because my experience is the 2023 just got better the more I drive it 😀

Ah, man, that sucks! Hopefully they can make it up to you! I was completely surprised when I found out my dealer got an allocation--I'm still shocked honestly. The Integra Type S is worth the wait I think, and so far I am not disappointed. I'll know more in a few weeks how I feel about things, but right now, just grateful and having fun. Surprisingly, people were like. Is that the integra type s? It's so sick in person. My very first car as teen was an integra gsr white just like yours. So some people were like it's super nice but too much on the price tag. A guy had an elantra N, was going in on how it's half the price and more pops and bangs and more track focused haha. I said hey man I'm not knocking the Elantra, but out the door integra is roughly 40 more horsepower, nostalgia heaven and limited production the price tag is pretty spot on. It's the closest thing I can thing of that would give me the same experience that my s2000 gave me that i just sold a month ago because i had my eye on this, and plus i have 2 young kids, so I wasn't able to drive it as often as I wanted so this was the perfect replacement. If I didn't have young kids, I would have hands down replaced my s2000 with a supra for a little more money then the ITS. However, price is spot on for the ITS, 5k-10k mark up and even up to 15k mark up on the east coast nooooo thanks lol.

I agree, the pricing of what you get for the Integra Type S is spot on. They need to make money on this car and in the long term, it's a great car to have. People need to look away at the sting of the proce just a little bit...it is more than anticipated, but I will tell you this, it is MUCH BETTER, than I thought it would be. It competes with quality cars like the TLX S. Keep having fun, it's definitely keeping me happy right now, and is EASILY one of the best looking cars on the road :)

@scrutch666 I haven't had a chance to drive the CTR yet, but when I was in Long Beach, talking to the Acura engineers, they were saying that they were testing both cars in Mojave on their track, and of course, the CTR is an awesome car, so they didn't say anything bad about it, but what they did say was the CTR is very much a track car, and you feel it being a track car on a daily. The Integra Type S is tuned differently, but it's a car that can really tone down and feel very comfortable to drive. Although Teggy S could EASILY go on the track, which is something I'm looking into, Acura's intent was to make this a super enjoyable and a comfortable daily driver. In talking to my Acura car consultant, he says he thinks it drives as plush as the TLX that he drives, which is a really great car.
When I'm in comfort mode, don't get me wrong, it's still super stable, but there is a stark contrast to Sport Plus! The thing is, in Sport Plus, which is where you wanna be for having fun, it's STILL comfortable. Think about that, Acura has taken everything good from the CTR and made it a much more drivable daily car. You'll never tire of it's handling, and this is from me putting down only 320 miles worth...it's super comfy!
They have tuned Integra S differently than the CTR, so that it is the "Ultimate" in street performance. It's looks are also WAAAAY more sleek than CTR (I feel)....and I love the CTR look, but the Integra Type S design is just stunning, to the point that many look over at it...there are probably more things, but I'll share thoroughly later on the driving aspects as I experience more 😀
@@PlasmadaeDal what confuses me the most about the ctr is to hear how bouncy it is and thats for me a bad setup also for track . Savagegeese said the type s it understeers more at the limit but he said also he will put ohlins on his ctr and get ride of the stock suspension which you basically can do also on the type s and get the same handling or stiffness. He actually shared a track comparison . Will share it here. The type s is definitely faster on the straight than the ctr.

The 2024 Acura Integra Type S is a baby TLX Type S
They are definitely competitive siblings, but I dare say the Integra is the crazier sibling of thr two but a bit! Haha! Even though that glorious V6 in the TLX, the Integra has a lot more playfulness and eager to try anything! Not to say TLX S can't, but man! BTW, is your profile picture, your own type R?

Yeah, when I found out, it takes more components to do that and for both seats, it adds up! The motors on the other side, and the electronics involved, it's nuts! But when you are trying to shave weight, you gotta leave on the driver focused items and make some hard decisions for less-critical items
@@PlasmadaeDal there is type r to save weight. Acura means luxury/ premium which this integra has none from the factory. Enthusiast car cant have a moonroof, memory seats, power seats is beyond me. The exterior is really nice but the interior has nothing special. Fl5 stands out more and feel special interior wise. I don't mean to offend you its just my 2 cents.
@@syedalam6363 Have you had a chance to sit in the Integra yet? It's definitely a premium interior in a lot of ways. Acura was trying to be more luxury a few years ago to the point they forgot who they were, and we ended up with some straight up, awful designs. Yes, they were more luxury, but they were also hideous and nothing you would want to drive as it didn't capture sportiness and magic! Look at the older MDX, sure, it was nice, but it was as nice as many nicer Buicks :/ So I have basically thrown my assumptions on what Acura was, out the window, to embrace their new direction back to their roots. It's tricky tho, because the car industry has changed so much since the 90s.
As recently as a month ago, I also struggled with this because the TLX Type S is more luxury than the regular TLX, right? The MDX Type S is more luxury than the regular MDX, right? Better engine, right? So on this logic, it's a 'more-more" paradigm, meaning more performance, more luxury, right?
This is where I was gettimg hung up. The Integra Type S is not meant to be more luxury, and more amenities, although in some ways it is...but it's still a "more-more" paradigm, but harkening back to their roots, its "more performance, and more performance"! This Integra is quite unruly and once you drive it...holy moly, you forget about all the other stuff. Acura is BACK! I'll explain more later, but the experience you get driving this thing is soooooo great, and really reminds you that Acura does their own thing, and captures the magic... they do what they think will nail their pillars, "Precision-Crafted Performance". Does the Integra stay true to PCP? I think it does! :)

50 to 60 grand for a integra is not worth it !! You can build a better car for cheaper 🤣🤣
Definitely something to consider, and on paper, it may not check all your boxes...so I'll be figuring out if 60k is worth it, but it's most CERTAINLY worth 50k...hands down. Once you feel of its driving characteristics, you get it. Without doing that, you may be doubtful, but this is a special car and Acura knows it, so in the US market at least, definitely charging about the right price 😀 If you're considering it, definitely go test drive the demo car :)
