I understand fitment wise, but the RBC manifold is actually a decent enough upgrade over the stock Type S one.
Came to say the same thing, if they had gone with a tegiwa intake rather than an aem one it would have sounded epic..

A very bad decision in my opinion to remove the rbc manifold
@@dateg18 if its done right but it wasn't so they were smart to switch it back
@bolt2271 clearly the car was running and driving before it got there and I don't take much to do you research they undid all the work the owner did just to put the stock manifold back lol you build a car to look like a track car but remove the one thing that make the k20a breath more better for power and it don't take much to put the rbc manifold on they could have just painted it just like the old manifold they put on and done

Would have definitely kept the RBC intake manifold.
I sometimes wonder why their videos pop up on my auto play 😂 I seen they took off rbc off and exploded why they took it off and instantly said these people are stupid😂 we all know they took it off because that carbon cover wasn’t gonna fit and they didn’t like that

If competing or pure performance aspect maybe keep the RBC manifold, but for fit and finish, they went the right direction.

Honestly, if any car deserved the Throtl treatment, it's the RSX. I always felt like it was a super solid platform for customization/individualization. That thing is going to keep turning heads for a good long while. Excellent work as always guys!
I'm no car expert but was the RSX fast? I mean did it feel fast?
@@ppduval Probably not the base model, but the Type S was quick for what it was.
@@ppduval type S was pretty quick for the time and a very good platform to easily upgrade to make more power. Not to mention just beautiful cars.

Hopefully you guys get something interesting like a domestic sports car like a mustang/camaro. Don't get me wrong, these cars are fantastic, but I loved the ones where you guys get out of your comfort zone, and really have fun with the different things. Like a good old 05-09 mustang gt or something like that.

I didn't have super high expectations when I saw the before... But wow! What a transformation. Mickey killed it on the yellow accents.
I would literally freak out so hard if they did this to me , I've got a 2011 v6 mustang that I have done some work to. I would just really like to see what they would so with it to be honest since it is a v6. Anyways guys , great vid! Been a continuous watcher for about 6 months but subbed for 2 years.

Anyone else watching these videos without the money or time to buy a car? Cuz I don't have a car and I have been looking at the 05-09 mustang GTs. Honestly I wouldn't want my dream car built for me, I would LOVE to just build it on my own and go through and make the mistakes, get dirty, and have fun while doing it. These types of TH-camrs are really amazing though, props to you guys for giving back to the community!
I can relate to that sentiment, but at the same time it's amazing for a busy person working full time to have their dream car given to them, I certainly wouldn't be upset about it.
Sheesh. That was awesome guys, the attention to detail was stellar. Even the parts of the work that was sort of glossed over like all the under painting, cleaning of the interior, and all the other little bits that were gone through to make sure nothing was forgotten and sorted out. It was not unnoticed. Honda/Acura's are some of my favorite cars, so I may be a little biased to this choice but again beyond amazing work. ✌
They downgrade the intake manifold for looks. Oof.

That civic si manifold is a power upgrade. It gives more flow.
Ya I definitely didn't understand changing that. Pretty much every rsx owner puts an RBC manifold on their car.
Lots of sins including the shim behind the rotor. Better to machine the calipers.

It was a decent handling/appearance build then that wing just blew it.

oh man, i saw those unwrapped door shuts and i nearly cried. Compared to whats been spent on the rest, a couple of extra $$$$ on the shuts and it would have been perfect.
You guys did an amazing job on this car. The yellow is a bit much imo but still looks 1000 times better.
Loved seeing the preventative maintenance like the starter and love how y’all did some research adding Acura tl breaks, only you guys would go the extra mile!

That car looks awesome. Well done and seemingly well deserved. On a side note... I had the same exact car. The before version that is. And i can't say how happy I was to see the seat torn at the seam. That happened to mine one day when I was vacuuming. I must have knelt on the seam as I was cleaning the passenger side. When i showed it to the guy at the dealership he laughed at me and said that doesn't happen from what I said. He accused me of standing on the seat with my head out of the sunroof! He insisted I was lying. Ever since I've been nervous Nelly while kneeling in the seat and reaching four anything thinking maybe it was my fault. This is just proof that these cars had this issue. Vindicated.

I have a 2002 Dodge Dakota 3.9 2WD 5 Speed. The only thing that can be done to that is a paint job, cause they don't sell crap for the V6 LOL 🤣😂🤣😂

Love the build. But when you got rid of the RBC intake manifold (widely regarded as the absolute best intake mani for K series) and put back on a restrictive RSX intake manifold?
Wouldn’t have been my first choice lol. I’ve built 2 RSX’s, first was built turbo K20 second was a K24 out of a TSX. And for both of them I ran the RBC manifold without hesitation. Love the rear progress bar though! You guys really cleaned up this car

Should have left the RBC intake manifold on the car. Better flow! That was a downgrade you guys did. That's Crazy! Only mod needed to fit right was a new gates upper radiator hose which has a better curve for clearance. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

That must be nice getting a surprise build! Where can I find someone to help me build my hooptie. I have a 98 Mirage DE coupe 1.5L with manual transmission that's in super mint condition but this past week coming back from work (health care worker)at midnight my engine is finally giving up on me 🫥... Now not only I'm I out of my Mirage, it's going to take me over two hours one way to get to work, that sucks... If u ever lived in New York u know the worst is taking a train back home at midnight! The train takes forever just to do this all over again. With my hooptie it was just forty minutes. But we gotta do what we have to. The rent has to get paid. It's going to take me a while to fix but I'm going to save some money and hopefully be able to fix it. Anyway enjoy the car it looks really nice 👍 Great work guys...
