Congratulations on your ITS. Thanks for the transparency. This was a great video to do. I recently purchased an ITS, myself. I paid a small ADM but ended up with some accessories I would have paid for anyway. I went 60 months at 5.74% (I shopped my interest rate around to pay as little as possible) and put down a significant enough amount to avoid being upside down. My plan is to keep it a while so I will get my money’s worth out of it. I’m sure you will as well. Enjoy the car, I know I will mine.

At that kind of interest and loan term, a large chunk of your payment is interest. Meaning you capital does not drop much each year. You are at a high risk if being upside down on this loan.

@@1anre Uh, definitely wait. A lot of ppl on TH-cam like Que are content creators so it makes sense, but the average person should wait at least a year so they don’t have to purchase unnecessary add-ons. The hype around a new car will push those add-ons, mark-ups, and generally make it impossible to bargain with a scummy dealership. That’s not even considering interest rates are as bad as it’s gonna get

So awesome Que!! I think your Type S looks amazing!! Well deserved brother!! I love the content!! I bought my FL5 Type R in January and traded my 2019 FK8 Type R toward my FL5!! I bought my fk8 at msrp and when I traded it I made money on it after owning it for 4 years!! My 2019 fk8 was garaged and when I traded it, it had just under 15,000 miles on it! It was paid off and was in pristine condition! I loved my fk8 but like my FL5 a bit more for sure! I was lucky to get my FL5 at MSRP also so I didn’t have a whole lot to have to pay off!! I put a deposit down on May 14 so it seems like I should have received one by now but I'm starting to feel pessimistic. But I also saw that Acura is supposed to produce 10% of total Integra sales as Type S so that would be 3,600 because Acura expects to sell 36,000 Integras this year. DAMN Q
    7 years of payments?
    thats whack.
Did you not put anything down?
It your business and I applaud your being so transparent, that was great.
But holy shit, if I could offer some free advice to others, if you want a 60k$ car, save up 25k$ to put down on it, for one, it helps you in several ways, lower and fewer payments, more equity in the car, a reasonable term, like 36 to 48 months.
if you sign terms for 7 or 8 years, life can change in that many years, anything could happen, I always say, look I want to buy an Integra Type s, but until I have between 20k and 30k$ to put down, I wouldn't even consider it.
I have been saving since Jan and I plan to buy in December so Yeah, I have to 2wait a full year, BUT Ill get one at msrp and have a payment under 600 a month for no more than 48 months, something I can feel a lot better about.
Personally, for us, I prefer to keep finance down under 30k on any given item, which means if I want something, I have to plan for it, save for it, then go get it.
I prefer this way of doing things to avoid credit issues.

You raise some good points but some cars don't stay on the lot very long, so you need to snap them up quick if they're really really what you want and not everyone might have $30-45K cash down to drop on a car at any point in time.
The painful part of both ways, in the 36mo payment plan w/ $25K down payment & the 72mo payments plan with 0 down-payment things could still go wrong.
You could lose your job and after forking $25K on the car and missing payments, repo guys come take it back. - you lose majorly there.
Also of you have 0 down-payment and you say pay for just 1yr and something bad happening at your job or business, and the repo guys come to reposses the car, God forbid - will the total amount + interest you've paid for that year ever come close to matching the $25K + total monthly payments you've already paid for that 1yr, ever match atch the guy with zero down-payment that's not going to lose as much as you?

Que, finally, the much awaited MSRP Type S video. Sheesh - you got a mad loaded spec for a steal of a price for a 2024 monster - $62K only!
But i'm a little a bit confused here.
In the middle of the video, you said you didn't put down any down-payment for the car and you never do for these cars but towards the end when you were talking about the car being a demo vehicle, you mentioned that as soon as the dealership let you know that they had one in the showroom, you immediately put down a deposit for it.
Wad that referring to another type of deposit to hold the car for you and not necessarily a deposit being paid towards the total cost for this Type S?
Secondly, I'd like you to do a video on car financing basics; when to loan, when to lease, and if one should use the in-house Acura/Honda Finance holding company to finance the cars being bought from the Honda/Acura dealerships or one should use a private bank or a credit union & what are the advantages of one over the other. - it's really important for car guys to be wise and educated on this area too as we can fall so in love with the cars we want to own that we scan and protect our pockets properly, you know?
I'd also like to know how to go about refinancing a car. Is there a minimum period you have to wait after buying the car and getting it initially financed, say 3-6months, before you can go back to the dealership and tell them you want to negotiate a refinance policy or how do you go about it?
TH-cam is the new school - I enjoy learning here every other day.

    • @QueTheChaotic
      @QueTheChaotic  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Sorry for the late response. That deposit that I mentioned was refunded to my credit card when I bought the car. It was only to hold it for me. I can make that financing video. Lastly you wouldn't go back to the dealership to refinance. You would shop the banks. My last Camaro I refinanced it the next week. The dealer wouldn't honor my employee discount if I didn't use their financing.

May I share my opinion on how I would buy cars nowadays. Well with me knowing I have good credit score, I look at the principle and interest as total. I also have a price in mind monthly on what I can afford and it all varies if you have money down or a good trade, so take that into account.
So with good credit and maybe $$ down and knowing maybe average Apr nowadays. I would look into the total cost loan amount + interest to save money. It’s a nice car but for me you’re paying $77,522 for the whole 83 month term. That’s a a lot if you’re considering keeping the car. But these cars shouldn’t depreciate in value.
