    this dude doesn't know how to drive an EV. I have driven my tiago @100 kmph at 110 Wh/km with ease. And overtaking in sports mode on highway is super easy! Yes 100 to 120 would be slow but 70-80 to 100 on sports mode is very fast.

    I bought a tata tiago ev LR version 9 months back, done 12000 km so far driving in hilly mountainous region only. I get aound 220-250 km on a full charge without AC [ Don't need it in hills]. The Regenerative braking is Fantastic. EV'S are perfect for hills,but in winter when the the temperature drops to around or below 14°C or lower then battery consumption increase coz u have to heat the cabin besides other factors and battery consumption increased from 5%-10%. No problem with the car so far.
    Cons. Tata needs to have a different service centre for EV'S, jostling services with other ICE cars are problematic .

      What abt fast chargers. Do u have any nearby. Biggest problem is lack of fast chargers . And i have heard that we can't use fast chargers on EV back to back. One has to use normal charger after every fast charging .
      Also how much range decreases if we increase load. Means 2 passenger vs 5 with luggage.
      I was planning to buy it for my mom as she can't drive gear cars.

    • @sony5244
      @sony5244 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@GuzzarAwan after looking into the chemistry of lithium iron phosphate batteries, fast chargers are to be avoided as much as possible becoz they degrade the battery, so having a slow home charging is a must. Load in a vehicle, say from 2 to 5 persons makes minimal difference on battery consumption if one use regen braking , one cannot drive an Ev like a ice car. Also driving above 60km /hr will consumes more battery becoz of wind resistance.
      Having said that , go ahead and buy one , she will love the comfort, the quietness of an ev , also she will feel good about doing her part for the Environment.

      Get ur AEC under 100 . B gentle on accelerator.. on highways , use only 1 or 2 regen sinceore regen means u get to accelerate more .
      Park in shade .
      Do coasting , meaning push accelerator in such a way that both acceleration n deceleration are 0..

      @@jaqazraf9728 100% agreed current gen EVs are best suited for people with a long daily commute..however on an average daily commutes are between 40-60kms for most city people...here the ROI period for 4-5lakhs extra that you pay is too long..plus with regular charging cycles your battery life will go down sooner ..what ever you save on fuel you'll end paying for the battery which is going to be above 6lakhs.
      EVs are also not suited for most as the only car in the family...you wont get to enjoy long drives . range anxiety, charging planning, .majority of the charging points outskirts are not maintained,some dont have earthing, some dont even work properly..things like this will ruin the road trip experience.
