Thank you for the tips my friend. Great video as usual . Keep them coming. Always learn something new when watching your channel.✌
Thank you bro, great work just subbed👊💯
You got a new follower! I knew most of these tips, but I loved the part about capturing screenshots of special moments and keeping that excitement and nostalgia going! I just beat Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the NES for the first time last night and definitely took a few screenshots of the Technodrome and Shredder fights! Also, thanks for the All Games search tip!
Awesome, dude! Thank you 😁
Thank you very much Javi tip 2 to 5 and more , works well also on my powkiddy x55
Another great video... loving this device..small issues are there like battery indicator not being accurate but overall this is awesome device
Good video! The RGB30 seems really cool! It is wild that you can even scrape the instruction manuals! It is so awesome that you can have hundreds of classic games right at your fingertips now! I would have thought I had died and gone to heaven if this device existed growing up in the '90s! 😅
Great video. The RGB30 looks amazing on yellow.
Good tip with that 8:7/4:3 but you mentioned NES and SNES and if I'm not mistaken, they are already at 8:7(?) which means you could push them to 1:1 for full screen. But this does work well for 4:3 to get a larger display without that stretched look.
Can we screen record the gameplay in this console ?
8:7 actually UNstreches SNES. (Genesis is slightly different I think). SNES games were made in 8:7, for 4:3 displays. They do not have square pixels, they're rectangular. For a CRT, that's perfect, because they considered all that when they design the visuals - but for an LCD screen, 8:7 is definitely better for SNES, because you can actually scale it properly. Try it out.
I realized this after when looking at a chart of retro system aspect ratios. Still 4:3 systems will benefit from 8:7 even if slightly stretched the image is not compromised
just tried tip 4 on arkos unfortunately game manual support does not appear to be available for it
This device is good but there are so many mistakes made in the build, so many settings are out and if you dont know what you're doing then trying to change a setting can be difficult, the battery is an issue aswell, ive noticed and update can cause a problem with the device by stopping it from charge whilst its off, I have two of these and I've never experienced problems like this before and it can be very time consuming trying to get them working how you want them to work
8:7 makes sense on NES and SNES but not all 4:3 systems
I play my PSP in 8:7 and it's great
I personally dont care for pixel perfection. I can't even see it's stretched. It looks good to me.
Thank you Javi.
Great tips.
Please, how do I quit Media Player without resorting to Reset!?
Where would I save files to play please?
Thank you very much.
Try start + select
Tip #6 - use it for pico only. :)
How do you screenshot a game scene? And can you share it to twitter??
Hi, just curious how you set that 8 x 7 aspect ratio for just the specific cores you want and how do you save them. Do you go to load configuration and then save NEW? I tried to follow and I can get it to 8 x 7 going into the video tab. But how save for each system? Thanks so much and great content!!
Okay, so you can do it outside the retroarch. Go into a specific system folder you want to change. Press Select and scroll all the way down to advance system options. Inside, you will find game aspect ratio settings for that specific system. It's the second option. Then repeat for all 4:3 systems. Hope this helps! Happy Gaming!!
Thanks!!
God I love this device so much
Thx for the global search tip
Hello sir, how do i screenshot in powkiddy, i have done it before but idk how i did it
I have one and all guides dont tell me how to take off the borders that have a pic of the system
Is it 100% neccesary to clone the included SD cards?
Yes they will fail on you
This RGB30 battery drain fast right?..not sure can play for 8 hours..
The screen is massive and drains battery. I get around 4 to 5 hours usually
Any tips bro how to save battery life..or make it last longer to play?..
I think the RGB30 is a vastly misunderstood device. In terms of displaying games up to the 16 bits era, I would say that it is the better device by far.
Because of the 1:1 display, it’s better than anything else for playing Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Gear, Neo Geo Pocket, Nintendo NES and SNES.
For anything else, it performs at least on par with, let’s say, a Miyoo mini plus.
For other 4:3 systems I would not recommend the 8:7 ratio. It works well with the NES and SNES because these two systems, I believe, are outputting natively at the 8:7 ratio. My understanding is that a lot of games look perfect at 8:7 because a the time the developers didn’t bother to correct the image to fit well on a 4:3 TV. There are some exceptions though, I need to double check but I believe Chrono Trigger developers accounted for the 8:7 output to 4:3 display by “deforming” the image at the source to fit perfectly on a 4:3 TV.
In fact, up to 16 bits, I only use two devices: the RGB 30 for most systems and the RG ARC for everything SEGA and Neogeo (except Game Gear and Neogeo Pocket obviously)
Those are considered niche devices, I personally think they are now the gold standard.

There's a competitor 4" 1:1 device on the horizon: can't remember where i saw it so can't search a nane!
Have you heard of this rgb30 clone?
ZPG A1 Unicorn, yes, I have heard of this. Maybe this is what you're referring to?
