Is it lefty lean righty rich on the mix screw? My friends bike didn’t want to run good unless it was three turns out so maybe his pilot jet is too small but not sure if the screw is adding fuel or air.

Can you help me figure out what mine needs? Sometimes when I crack my throttle from idle it wants to burp back through the carb. I have adjusted idle mixture and speed and can’t seem to get that burp out of it. It is also hard to start when warm, I have to choke it even after sitting 5 minutes. Thank you.
My carb (S&S Super E) on my Shovel head after it's been warmed up works this way: idle screw at about 850-900 rpm (3/4 turn on the screw). Air & fuel screw 1-7/8 turns out from all the way in. Accelerator pump screw 2-3/4 to 3-1/4 out from all the way in. PS. After bike has been warmed up for at least 20 minutes and running, turn air/fuel screw IN until its sputters and then turn OUT till it's sputters again, counting how many turns it took from IN to Out and then just turn back in halfway of total turns all together. I know it sounds confusing but it's actually very simple and basic. Happy trails 👍
@@coconut_milk7167 all I can think of is double check and make sure there's not a hole in the diaphragm the ride the acts of HC accelerator pump goes down into your carburetor to a round diaphragm about the size of a nickel make sure there's not a hole on that that's about the only other thing I can think of I hope this helps

So is turning the fuel/air left giving it more fuel or turning it in
Hey thanks for checking out the channel. Yes left will give you more gas right or clockwise will give less gas. I hope this helps. Ride safe

Is it the same setting for a 91 Evo? Thanks in advance sir.
I can get my idle perfect but I can’t get my accelerator pump to work right engine stumbles no matter where I set it
