      It is indeed heartening to read that you liked the Molagootal video so much. Thank you
      The key focus of all of my videos is the "Mull Point" like what you mentioned about "English vegetables". You may like to check out the Mull Point in other videos as well.
      Well, nothing to be ashamed of!!!!
      One can always be more conscious of one's choices😊😊😊
      As you may be aware, the perfect accompaniment for Molagootal is Aracchu Kalakki, which I have dwelt upon in this following video link...

    Namaste aunty. Your presentation was delightfully eloquent!
    Excuse my ignorance, but isn't this recipe same as kootu, where we similarly add ground coconut + spice paste to boiled vegetable pieces & dal?

    • @munchandmull
      @munchandmull  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Namaskaram Krishna. Glad that you liked this video.
      The basic difference between kootu and Molagootal is the ground paste. The Molagootal ground masala has urad daal,red chilli,Jeera and fresh coconut.
      Kootu generally has fresh coconut and chilli. Also Molagootal used tur or moong daal, whereas kootu generally made with Chana daal!!😀😀😀. Nice to know the interest of youngster's in this art of cooking.
      Happy cooking. Regards Sujata from Munch and Mull 😊🙏

      @@munchandmull Thanks aunty for your clarification. Without knowing these subtle differences, I have been preparing various kinds of dals with coconut(+spice) paste with almost delectable results! My favourite recipe is to add to tur dal a paste of coconut + sambar powder + coriander leaves for the flavouring. No idea whats this particular variety is called, which I learnt from my paternal grandmother, an orthodox & outstanding cook! Glad if you happen to know its name, if any!
      Anyways, from now on, I can distinguish each variety of coconut-paste dal I prepare.
      Last but not the least, as long as coconut is there for flavouring, adieu onion-garlic!

    Surprisingly to note that molagootal doesn't contain molagu(pepper). We do the same with roasted pepper added in place of jeera.. it tastes good...
