Very nice! Interestingly, I have come up with almost the same recipe, for instant sambar but I use lemon juice instead of tamarind. Lemon powder also can be used. Your presentation is excellent. Took me back to my college days - I had a teacher who spoke with the same clarity and interest in the topic. ! All the best!

I’ve never had sambar. This video makes me want to try it. Thank you. I love legumes I’m super intrigued with Indian legumes (especially roasted ones), there’s so many. A guide of essential Indian legumes would be very helpful. Especially detailing the differences between whole, split & roasted including differences in taste, texture & usage. Just made the first batch. Will report back on the results, but the aroma of the podi is sufficient for me to feel great. I did however use a few pepper corns and fewer chillies. On another note, there are over 12,000 vies as of 12/09/22 and yet only 425 likes. Best wishes.

Absolutely love your channel as I take my health very seriously. I live in UK and try to preserve my vegetables for winter. So I dehydrate courgettes and squashes and cauliflower and powder them and use the powder to make instant soup in winter. You could of course elaborate on this idea with a bit of imagination.

A great idea! What about asafoetida (hing)? Hing gives the classic sambar aroma. I think it can be added to the vegetables.

If stored in an airtight container without any moisture seeping in,you can safely store it for atleast a month.
See that wet spoons are not put inside.
