    The girl is red polo brings up a good point. Not the one she was trying to make, people want hard proof of miracles. But even when God the father and Jesus did miracles in front of their eyes they still doubted. Some hearts just don’t want to believe.

    • @gingercake0907

      If the girl in the red polo shirt was wrongly arrested for shop lifting and her lawyer found several eyewitnesses that said she wasn’t the shoplifter she would want them testifying. Now by her reasoning about Jesus we shouldn’t accept eyewitnesses testimony of His resurrection but she would want eyewitnesses testimony in her case. Hypocrisy. So eyewitnesses testimony is legit for today, the present time, but not legit for Jesus. What kind of jacked up logic is that?

    I love how people have no problem believing every little thing they read then they hear the word Bible and they're like... No way! Rubbish!! And they put it under a microscope.. every single verse... But read an insert by some random author of modern literature and just put full trust into it.. no microscope.. not even a second thought... Crazy 😂

      Believing some "science" is funny. Like magical bananas that evolve into humans over a few billion years. Just like believing an obvious mythical tale with zero eye witness accounts is funny.

    the guy in the red shirt says he was "brought up a strict Christian" yet doesn't seem to know anything and instead throws up all these scapegoat second hand hearsay arguments that he hasn't really checked out, simply because he hasn't read or studied for himself especially the gospels that would in some way help him understand what a Christian is. Too many atheists when hearing proper honest reason realise they are agnostics and or reject the gospel because of some moral accountability. sad. a little research goes a long way especially after being at university having lectures that require you to check out if what the lecturer has said is verifiable or not before they write their papers. the same can be done with the gospels. there is more evidence for their reliability than any other work of antiquity! I wish these students would check their sources before they spout them because most of what they say is nonsense and hearsay and/or internet mis information.

    • @danjaxson
      @danjaxson 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Eric Splodge Lots of folks have a knee-jerk belief they were brought up Christian because their parents went to church on Christmas, Easter, and an occasional Sunday. An approach that probably does more harm than good, as evidenced by the thinking displayed by the guy in the red shirt. They have never really experienced being committed to a body of Christ with all the ups and downs it brings, and never with having a true relationship with Jesus.

    Wow I like you Cliff. I wish more Christian Apologists would tour colleges like this and just converse. I believe many of this listening and speaking went and looked into what you were saying. I believe many came to truth and confessed Jesus. I was just like most of them. I hadn't read a thing. just heard some other say something and believed it. I ran into person quite like you and accepted Christ as my savior in 1986 wow!

    Time during the biblical times was most likely perceived differently than present times. Today within a five year period, think how much info is constantly coming at us. All the movies, TV series, real news, fake news and all other mediums of info. In the past, a century could pass without a fraction of change compared to change today. For example, 0-100AD far less has changed than it did within a 15 years such as 1995-2010. Even from a short time In the past, I would say from, 1950-1960 there was details remembered by the majority of the country as a whole. Unlike today, 2010-2020 there is exponential more amount of information therefore less people remember all the details.

    I think Cliffe is almost so good the he (sometimes) almost answers robitically without getting to the heart of the question with real compassion. Not always, just sometimes. :/
    Especially with that last question.
    I feel like he could explain the gospel more, and explain its difference from all other religions, yet do it with a bit more empathy in his voice when he articulates it?
    Not bashing.. I love Cliffe and what he does is incredible.
    Hope he doesn't stop. God bless him

    Then he says that the disciples didn't see the resurrection happen... Well, actually, they did... Now Shaul did not see the resurrection, but again, SO WHAT? No scientist in HISTORY has seen macro evolution (I'll even go so far as to say they haven't seen micro evolution either because the microorganisms don't turn into a dog or any other kind of organism... They simply adapt, but I digress.). Point is, no scientist has EVER seen evolution, WHY DO YOU BELIEVE THEM?

    We know exactly who wrote the Gospels.
    If the kid in the red shirt doesn't know, then fine -- I accept the fact that he is ignorant,
    but in that case, he needs to keep his ignorant mouth shut and listen to those of us who do know:
    The eyewitnesses wrote the Gospels.

    • @mildom9223

      Leviticus 20:13 NIV
      "If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."

    • @dogelife7901
      @dogelife7901 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The punishment of sin is death. Since we all sin, then we deserve death as doing wrong requires justice for God to be good. He has to punish sin, otherwise he would be a poor judge.
      The levitical laws were to show what Gods wrath would be against sin. “Say to the Israelites: ‘Any Israelite or any foreigner residing in Israel who sacrifices any of his children to Molek is to be put to death. The members of the community are to stone him."
      So yes people who kill their children deserve death.

    Sadly today it’s the same not just because of eye witnesses but because of technology we have AI now so we truly can’t see what’s real or not and that’s sad because it means when Jesus comes back which from what the world looks like it’s rather soon and they’ll see him coming out that sky and still say it’s fake. Because it’s not about what’s outside it’s about what’s inside of you.

      +Wiezymon He states that the Quran is an accurate representation of what Muhammed taught. The historical record indicates that there was massive disagreement among 7th century Muslims regarding what Muhammed taught and what should be in the Quran. These disagreements, described in the Hadith, were even substantial among the four Arabs that Muhammed denoted as the best reciters of the his teachings and whom should be given authority. As denoted in the Hadith, the compilation of the Quran went through numerous iterations, none of which were fully agreed upon by the sources. Based on historical written record, you can't intellectually get to the point of stating that the Quran accurately represents Muhammed's teachings.
