  • Cliffe Knechtle has a good dialogue with students at The University of Arizona - Tucson. Recorded in October 2010.
    The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This was an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

    The Holy Bible never states that adulterers should be killed -- not in any chapter, not in any verse.
    Nor does it state that someone who picks up a stick should be killed -- not in any chapter, not in any verse.

    I really appreciate how he clearly defined the hierarchy of sin. When I was a minister preaching to the good folks in California, there were many who were of the opinion that every sin was equally evil in the sight of God. If I coveted something, I've already committed the sin of stealing in my heart, so I am a thief at heart. If I ever look upon a woman to lust after her, I've already committed the sin in my heart so I am an adulterer at heart. They would go on and on about how wicked I was because of what I've thought and it never seemed right to me. Of course the desire to do sin is wrong, but there's a clear difference between having the temptation or the desire to commit sin and the actual intentional act of committing that sin. I do recognize that any sin separates me from God, but there are degrees in which we can be separated.

    God did not create evil. First off evil is not a "thing". You cannot have a jar of evil. It has no existence of its own, it's the absence of good.

    The kid in the green shirt is so transparently attempting to deny God's factual qualities
    and activities simply in order to justify his own sinful activities.

    Cliffe I had a question. Does this mean that if the fruit was not eaten, we will have culture/tradition or even religion? I ask because most of tradition and the like is experiential knowledge summated over time through writing, poems, music etc

    Again the Sabbath was for the Jews and bottom line as Cliff said GOD’s intent was for us to set aside and worship GOD yes on Saturday. But is it just on Saturday? No worship GOD every day. Jesus points out does the good shepherd not work or go out to find the lost sheep ? Does he not leave the 99 just because it is the sabbath ? No of course Not go work if you have too go find the lost sheep on the sabbath but worship GOD even in that , that you may give GOD glory in all that you do.

    jesus forgives all sins though. it means "unforgiveable" as in, rejecting christ is the sin that will get you the furthest away from god. it is the sin that will be hard to retaliate from, and it is the sin where satan is the strongest. the sin where your heart will be hardened to the point where it is difficult to believe in god. unforgiveable meaning the only sin that gets you in to hell

    The last man at 20:00 is using man's interpretation of god's absolute morals to say god does not have absolute morales which is a false dichotomy between god's ability to create absolute morals and man's ability to interpret those morals.

    We are meant to Rest in Jesus He is our peace so therefore our sabbath i dont think it goes on that we have to worship him one day ! but Everyday ! And He created us to Worship him and we havent Done that thats why in heaven we will woship him for eternity ! and those who choice to live the life away from God eternal suffering ! just because they didnt believe not because God wanted it to happen ! thats Why He sentt His Son Jesus to Die for everysingle one ! so if anyone believes goes to Heaven!

    17:20 i'd've loved u ask that guy what God will judge when he comes back? he will judge sin the same way he did bfore: wit death.. but these guys don't have a clue about it. they don't understand that God separated light from darkness. please ask them this question: if God is coming to establish his kingdom on earth n doesn't dwell wit sin were should sinners go?

  • @TheDJEDS
    @TheDJEDS 11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    i didnt like ya response when he asked about casting stones, God, as u said separated israel from the other nations so they would be different. therefore, when they kept his commands sin never overcame them. now bcoz there was NO SIN in israel they were worthy to execute such judgement as casting stone, bcoz they were righteous. Jesus confirmed it when he said he who has no sin cast the 1st stone, obviously they were all sinners so why would they cast the 1st stone? but if they were not it's ok!

    • @aznation4592
      @aznation4592 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bro GOD is a GOD who hates sin who will judge sin. GOD is also Love , that was JESUS point GOD has come to forgive. Was JESUS saying cast the first stone because hey I’m okay with this woman’s sin ? Was JESUS condoning her sin on going ? Of course not he came to forgive but told her your are forgiven but but but go and sin no more.

    The logic of the young me trying to prove the morality of Christianity is subjective is totally absurd. He’s not critically thinking. He says take 2 professing Christians who have conflicting moral opinions (ex homosexuality) . His conclusion is “they can’t come to agreement on this moral issue therefore Christianity is false and morals are subjective.”
    Let’s see if that logic works anywhere else. Take 2 students of mathematics. For a specific problem they come up with 2 different, conflicting answers. They both think they are correct. Does it logically conclude that mathematics is wrong because the 2 students come up with different answers? Of course not. Clearly the problem is with at least on of the students conclusion, not mathematics.
    Same goes for conflicting opinions on moral issues in Christianity. ONE OF THEM IS WRONG. Christianity doesn’t become false because 2 professing Christians conflict on a moral issue. Scares me that this is the thinking of college students today. Sad

    No Cliffe and they did not I enjoy your videos as I told you before but I've also made the statement before that that is not true as a blatant falsehood I'm not blaming you for the falsehood but it is a falsehood none the less I can show you many scriptures of how that's not true I have friends that can show you those scriptures as well as good common sense so sometimes if I wish we could sit down and discuss that.
