    My granddaughter pointed me to this pastor. I have been a christian for over 40 years. I have read and studied the word of God more times than I can count over those 40 years. I have learned more about how to understand the gosple, apply it, how it relates to our day. Better than I have been able to grasp through the teachings of others. So that I too, may bring others unto Christ! I know God lives and Jesus is the Christ! Thanks so much Cliff! Your video's have been life changing for me!

    Cliff, I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciate your ministry! Your communication skills are through the roof! Not to mention your insight, and your patience with some of these students. Obviously, some are very kind and respectful, and many of them are very intelligent… But, so many of them don’t make any logical, valid arguments at all and aside from that, they are downright arrogant and condescending. I sit and watch you present rock solid, irrefutable, arguments, and yet they refuse to acknowledge that you are right. Thank you so much for your commitment to Christ, and to this incredible ministry he has given you. You truly are making a difference in so many lives! God‘s best to you!

    Mere foreknowledge of a person's freely chosen actions does not preclude or prevent free will in any way.
    If you believe that it does, then you need to provide some evidence that that is the case.
    Fortunately, there is no such evidence in existence.

    Having thoroughly considered all the relevant data, I freely chose to come to the understanding,
    based on the relevant data, that we have free will.
    To the believer in determinism:
    Was your decision to propagate the belief that we have no free will:
    a) freely chosen, based on the relevant data
    or
    b) pre-determined by genetic and environmental factors?
    If a, then we have free will.
    If b, then your conclusion is unscientific and cannot be accepted as factual.

    Thank you for your comment. I can understand your thoughts clearly because I was once an atheist and I refused to believe that there was a God. And the Bible was nothing more than a fairy tale to appease the hearts of the weak and the excuse that most used to justify their lifestyles and choices. But I realized I was grossly misinformed, uneducated, and lacked the common sense to really see the truth evidenced around me. Because it is quite obvious that God had made everything, including myself

    There is a reason why the term "my ONLY begotten son" is so important. The people at that time were mostly pagan romans/greeks, and would have seen a religion about a deity and a son as the same as Zeus and his many progeny. Hence, the need to say 'ONLY begotten son" to lay out the difference.
    Same with Jesus when he said "I am the TRUE vine" at that time the god of the vine was Dionysus, a wide cult. Jesus was clearly contrasting himself with Dionysus.

    This has to be the most depressing video in my life. After seeing the fall out of ignoring the repercussions of ignoring critical thinking skills in the WMDs in Iraq (Burden of proof,etc.) who would want to turn around and NOT learn their lessons and invite another disaster? Only problem, of course, is that this is actually something that he conclusively disproved. If an object has a sufficiently high upward velocity, gravity, weakening evermore with increasing distance, will not be able to bring the object down. It will be in a 'hyperbolic' orbit.
    In other words, it is popularly attributed to him, but it is unlikely that he said it.

Atheist always seem so angry with Christians. I wonder if they hold that same anger with Muslims or Buddhists? I doubt it. You never hear of them debating Muslims or Buddhists or Hindus. I'm not sure what the historical manner means, other than that the people that wrote it believed it. But belief is not the same as proof. One key reason that the burden of proof is so heavily used in the law. As you know, you don't need to "prove" you didn't kill some person on some night, the state needs to bring compelling evidence that you commited the crime. You really need to read up on the burden of proof. Just because someone writes something down doesn't make it true. AKA Scientology.

    We know why E=MC2 is true. You can measure these things, and they have to be true for atom bombs to work. There is no reason to believe that religious books are nothing more than words that people wrote down, that guide them spiritually perhaps, but don't have any reason to assume that the mytholigical creatures in them like deities and unicorns are actually real.

    How is there free will if God already knows? What is the causal link between your free will & God's knowledge? God knows what will happen in every moment, because he is constantly in every moment. You have a future, present, & past. God is, thus 'I AM' is the statement of God's being. Infinitely powerful, able, & presence, should have let those people know God can act in every moment through eternity & is active.
    God Bless

    The latter was folk wisdom, and of course if you place a satellite in orbit, or better yet send it out of the solar system, it will never come back down.
    The former is tested in particle accelerators every single day. They can measure how mass and energy interconvert. And the formula always works. Also, of course, it was part of the path to the atom bomb.
    I'm not sure where you are going with any of this.

    The evolution to work together argument always fails because it doesn't match reality. If his argument is true that rape, murder is not conducive to the continuing the species why do we see animals rape and murder why do males kill each other because who wins get the most females meaning the most aggressive and most violent ensure there gene pool survives. Lets look at humans who gets to sleep with the most women is it the nice guys who care and love and become attached to a single person for long periods of time or is it the jerk who will lie cheat steal to get into any females pants then immediately move on who is more likely to have the most children with the most variation of genes it is the jerk and we all know it to then turn around and say we evolved to care to survive to love to reproduce that we don't hurt because of fear of reprisal is nonsense and the evidence that we can observe indicates that the if evolution is the truth and there is no God then the most cut throat succeeds the strongest the most aggressive not the gentle and mild. Also think if we did "evolve" to be kind because we get when we give then the most powerful people should also be the most giving but once again we find the most powerful are generally the most cut throat. It is a really dishonest stance to try to use the argument that evolving to work together is why we have morality and kindness when it is clear that is not how the world actually works just ask yourself if what he says is true why do we have sayings like "Nice guys finish last" and "Survival of the fittest" if what he said is true we should instead have "Bad guys finish last" And "Survival of the kindest" only need to think for a short time to see the truth.

    The Christian church developed from the Roman Catholic Church, and that developed from the pagan Roman Empire. But this lineage is key to understanding how these myths were made up - the early roman empire had no real religion, they borrowed religions of the nations they invaded. Like Greece, etc. So why not assume they kept on doing that and combined the Jewish faith and the cult of Dionysus. Most of the core "christian" ideas originate from those 2 sources.

Even a well known and respected Harvard psycologist has backed the idea of alien abductions. His name is John Mack.

    And seeing how Newton explained the motion of the planets through calculus and their resulting elliptical orbits (for many planets) I highly doubt he ever said such a thing. Remember the earlier views of planets and their motions was a mess - all after the fact. After Newton they could predict where the planets would go, not post dict them. And then build rockets, send men to the moon, yada yada. Sorry, nothing you posted has any relevance.

    The real point is that we don't need the bible being true to explain ANYTHING. A group of people (early jews) came up with some good rules to run their lives and prosper. The people that followed the rules lived and had children, those that didn't died. The rules have been refined over the ages by natural selection. God is simply a culture slowly adapting to the ages to keep the group growing.
    Look at the Mormons - is their growth more due to god or the fact they had multiple wives?

  • @nosuchthing8
    @nosuchthing8 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    The TRUTH is that no one outside the bible bothered to write about Jesus until he was long dead. Christianity is simply a combination of the cult of Dionysus and the Jewish faith, period. Nothing of importance can't be traced to these two sources. (Dionysus behaved much like Jesus - not a fighter like Hercules, another "son" of a God, for example). Just excise the naughty bits to conform to Jewish ideas on sin. And even worse - burden of proof has not been met on Yahweh, Jesus, Allah, etc.

    Your belief system can be summarized as such "I believe the bible because the bible says its true". If the bible was simply a book of mythology, like the hindu scriptures or the Koran or the buddhist writings, would we be able to tell the difference? I don't see how we can differentiate the Koran from the OT from the NT from the Mormon Bible. It's all wild tales, with no outside evidence of the supernatural stuff, that no one should believe with out evidence.

  • @nosuchthing8
    @nosuchthing8 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    And I'm sure you know that the cult of Dionysus merging with the early Jewish church explains 99% of christianity? Sorry, you got nothing.
