  • In this video we show you the first prints to come off the super sticky build plate. We used ONLY the standard Qidi Print settings. Standard temp, speed, and supports. We will be dialing in this printer, but we felt it was necessary to show you the plug and play capabilities of this machine. We do tell that we had some issues. We just did not explain them because the issues may have been caused by something we did, and we have not been able to replicate them; however, if it happens again there will be a video to explain the issues and what we were doing when the issues showed itself again. The tower is the test file that comes with Qidi 3D Printers and we used the red filament supplied also. The orange square with the blue cross is the E Calibration test that came with the I-Fast. As for all other models used in this video, the links are below. You can find the orange and blue filaments in the affiliated links below. With respect to too-sticky prints, one can often see the first layer is too flat, pushed too far into the plate material. I've found on my X-Max that I avoid that problem by preheating the nozzle and bed prior to performing a full bed leveling. The prints still stick well, but come off far more easily.

      Oh yeah I definitely mentioned that my nozzle was too close which contributed to the stickiness. This plate though feels different than the X-Max plate. That blue filament was I couldn’t get to stick to my X-Max plate unless it had a raft built first, but this one didn’t even require glue.

    Adjust the z offset or re level bed. I also use a bed weld,that doubles as a bed releasing agent.

    Have they change the extruder and hot end assembly or is it going to get heat creep plus slipping like the older ones?

      I haven’t pulled it apart but I’m hoping they’ve upgraded some. Soon as I pull it apart I will put out a video.

    What is the best and good quality settings do u use for your prints for the x-max. i currently have the x-max but im looking for the best settings to use

      It honestly depends because of all the variables that exist, but I can tell you a great place to start is with the standard Qidi Print settings. For PLA I only change hotend temp to 208. For CF I only drop bed temp down to 60. Hope that makes sense.

    Hello to you from Russia, I recently came across your interesting channel, well, of course, I subscribed, I recently bought a qidi x-plus for myself, I really like the printer, but I have a problem, I think that you will help me, I have a problem with an emergency when printing, it starts clicking, and more than once it was just clogged, I changed the nozzle Teflon tube and still there is a problem again starts clicking, I also have a filter, but it does not help me, what could be the problem???

      The clicking is a good sign of a clog, but it could also be that the temperature is wrong. If the filament does not melt fast enough it could cause it to click. What material and what temp are you using?

      @@Eitri3D Petg The temperature is 240-245, I tried to raise the temperature with silk, it does not help me until I pull out the plastic, when he pulled it out, the weight is deformed from the temperature, with a blowout all the time.

      Reduce your speed a little. Printing too fast also causes the click. With PETG I have to slow mine down. Don’t remember my PETG settings because it has been so long since I’ve used it.

      @@Eitri3D I'll try it well, but I don't do more than 70mm, thank you.

      I’m normally printing PETG between 30-45. I just don’t remember the exact speed. Best of luck. Cheers!

    wouldnt travel speed help prevent oozing?

    • @Eitri3D
      @Eitri3D  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would help for a single extruder, but since it’s dual extruder, when it switches to the second extruder the first one will still ooze.

    Suez canal - the official Ever Given benchy. :-)

      I found a large “Suez Canal” version of benchy that may require printing.
