    I am using a Sonic Pad to run Klipper on mine. I love it. It’s so fast and the input shaping and full control of everything is great. This looks like a good choice for using Marlin.

      How do I add the sv06 to the sonic pad?

    That´s pretty cool! I´m gonna try it right away! :D

    Sorry that I didn't find this before I made the Klipper switch. But, now that I'm comfortable with Klipper, Marlin's a thing of the past.

    Great video!! Is there any differences between Sovols firmware vs TH3Ds firmware vs Rory Games Demon firmware vs Hillsoftware v57 firmware? Just curious. Im currently using Rory Games Demon firmware because its faster than stock firmware. Seems to be working for me pretty well.

    Great video man! Love the comparison. Also you can try the super fast probing on the stock probe. *Some* of them can handle it. Run the M48 test to see if the stock probe gets under 0.01mm of accuracy. If it does, you can run the super fast on the stock one.

      Nice! I appreciate the heads up, and thanks for watching! I'll definitely give it a try.

    Great vid - appreciate your time. The plastic on your screen makes me want to peel it off ! You should try klipper, I think you would really enjoy the added control.

      Never! 😂🤣
      Thank you, and I'm definitely going to try Klipper at some point, I've seen some pretty crazy fast printers out there.

    Nice, im using a SKR 3 EZ(needed the 5 steppers for Z-Align) with klipper+Kamp(on a pi of course) on my SV06, loving the Z align to level the gantry (no more gantry grinding on top).
    Anyway keep the good work!

      @@kemist578 It probes the bed in the 2 extreme points in the middle of the bed in the Y, so it like this: it moves Y to the middle, moves X to the middle and probes X extreme left and x extreme right and auto aligns it with each Z motor independently

    I'm considering an SV06 Plus with a Klipper pad, but it seems imminently inevitable that we'll soon have a good print quality, reliable, fast 300 mm cube bed slinger with Klipper, and last night I heard that a pre-release version has been received for review (no word on the manufacturer). I'd love a Klipper version of the SV06 Plus, hopefully with a 4 conductor CANbus cable to the extruder instead of that big ribbon cable (what were they thinking?), and with improved part cooling on the extruder as well as a larger part cooling fan on the X gantry like the SV07. I'd also like to see an optical filament run out sensor on the top of the extruder. But mostly, I want an SV08 Plus that is the SV06 Plus with Klipper and better part cooling.

      SV07 Plus is out now with Klipper

    • @Liberty4Ever
      @Liberty4Ever 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@benhinkle9178 - I seriously considered the SV07 Plus. I was looking at the web page again last night, even though I already purchased the Neptune 4 Pro (two weeks ago and it still hasn't shipped). Now that the Neptune 4 Pro is (almost) on the way, I'd still like a large format printer but may skip the 300 mm cube and opt for a 420 mm cube for the rare huge prints I'd like to make, just as soon as there is a Klipper version. I need a custom battery cover for my Hijet mini truck and 300 mm isn't quite large enough. The Neptune 3 Max is twice the price of a regular size Klipper printer so there's no point in buying one to add Klipper, when Klipper will be nearly free when there is a Max size printer that ships with Klipper.

    Something i Learned when flashing these "creality" boards if you are having trouble flashing the firmware. Dont use firmware as the name at all try ender or something different for some reason the boards had trouble flashing different firmware by using that name i switched to ender.bin and flashed immediately with no issues.

    • @Avel
      @Avel  หลายเดือนก่อน

      That makes sense. Sometimes I have just named them FW1, FW2..etc instead of typing out "Firmware".

  • @eclypse3d
    @eclypse3d ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Yeah I skipped that all together, bought a $45 btt M5P 5 driver mcu. Installed klipper, seperated the Z drivers so they were independent. Done. Klipper and the mainsail interface is just easier and feature rich. I have a hard time justifying $100 bucks just for the stm32 chip swap but still having both z steppers share a driver.

    How did you set your z offset not from auto home because the nozzle will crash in to the bed did you do it live setting ?

    • @Avel
      @Avel  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Do you mean in the TH3D firmware? If your nozzle is running into the bed, try resetting the EEPROM (Configuration>Reset EEPROM) Then run the auto bed level first.
      After the auto bed level, I went to auto home. When that finishes, the main screen should show the Z is at 5.
      Go to Prepare>Move Axis>Move Z>Move 1mm and drop it to 000.0 (zero).
      Then go to Control>Motion>Probe Z Offset then use a piece of paper to set the Z offset. The nozzle should just grab the paper.
      After you get the Z set, go to Control>Store Settings.
      To double check, you should be able to auto home, then drop the Z to 000.0 again and it should still just grab the paper.

    Well the firmware update for me did not work jammed up extruder and run the nozzle in to the bed after doing a complete set up and reset the z off set this just did not work for me went back to the original firmware and all is good just slow bed level
