Was driving through Indiana and saw one of these! It was so neat looking. Hubs was like what truck is that? So we googled it. Very cool. The price is crazy though. Lol, It looks cool on the road.
Fantastic review, and just a pleasure to watch you because of your demeanor. Well done brother, and awesome truck! (Someone buy me one) haha, kidding. Wonder how it off-roads?

The Rivian really looks good and the lights are very attractive. It would be lovely to drive , I'm sure. People don't realise that without the weight it's actually going to be so much faster. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts.
Good review but honestly no different than year and a half old reviews. Little late to the party. Oh, and they dropped the camp kitchen six months ago or so that's dated info.
You say it’s bigger than the ranger but how does this compare to the Tacoma in size? What are the cons and things you don’t like? Do you think that bed is too small?
As an owner myself would say that it is slightly larger than a Tacoma, with a much more usable rear cab. For most purposes, the 4 1/2 foot bed is adequate, however, a bit small for larger loads. Unfortunately, there’s no option for different bed Links when compared to the Tacoma.
It's about an inch wider, and a foot shorter than a Tacoma long bed. The R1T bed is about 4.5ft, but the tailgate has a gooseneck so when it is down the bed is 7ft. You can put an 8'x4' ply or drywall and just have a foot of overhang off the tailgate.
@@vinnym5095 Rivian call it an adventure vehicle. It's not a work truck. I have one, and I love it. I have been off-roading in it, taken branches down to the local chipper, put my mountain bike in the back and driven to trailheads, powered my computer, router, refrigerator and some lights when we lost power, road tripped it and it has plenty of range for my work commute. The amount of lockable storage is also very impressive. A lot of people have tents that sit on the crossbars. Rivian launched "camp mode" a few months ago that levels the vehicle so that your tent is level, even if the terrain isn't. It's a great all-around vehicle.
"You have to hunt for the volume control"... Seriously? It's right there for the passenger. But, if that's somehow too confusing, don't touch anything and just say "Alexa, turn up the volume". Cupholders hold 24 oz Thermos bottles with no issues. This really is an amazing piece of engineering. A drive mode for every occasion. 14 months in ours so far and foresee 150 more months before we have to hang up the fobs, or the kids take them away. That'll be a sad day.
I laugh that his definition of "perfect size pickup" doesn't actually involve the pickup :-) Personally I would give up the full size back seats for a larger truck bed... because it's a truck.
@@Joeblk10 well the new 2024 Toyota tacoma pre runner is 2 deater 6ft bed. If they made it hybrid, i would buy it in a second but bc they were greedy for only top trim. Its a pass
After having owned Chevy trucks all my life, I won’t be buying another nor would I trust them to put out a quality EV truck. I had preorder and dropped it for the Rivian.
Did he say, "Vegan Leather" seats? That's 😂! Whatever you do..... DO NOT WRECK this vehicle! Small collision repair could fetch 40 thousand dollars because of the integrated aluminum body construction. So... my assessment is.... this is a piece of JUNK!
Hey @Rivian would you consider launching your vehicle in the Asian market real quick. These clowns over here don't know how to build roads but keep begging racist @melon for their son dealerships
I'd say the Rivian, say dual motor is most comparable to the Lariat edition of Lightning at $80K RIvian / $76K Ford Lariat Lightning. The Platinum jumps into the 90s. Have an R1T Quad here with earlier pricing and it seems like it was a good deal at $75K.
I got mine 6/1/2023 and it is flawless. Build quality was spot on and it is the best vehicle I have owned out of 36 cars and trucks.
Glad to hear it! Thanks for watching!
Dang bro lend us some money😂
I'm sorry...36 cars and trucks??? What you do, get a new vehicle every 4 months, wow.
What about the water filling up in the doors, and the fact water, dirt etc can go down inside your bed?
This was the absolute best auto review I’ve ever seen…and I watch a ton. Great job my friend…
GREAT JOB!
"What happen to the round numbers" lol right! I love that 😂

Good job explaining the pros and cons of it . I'm putting a deposit on it . Thank you.

We didn't drive it off-road, so we can't provide a review on that. Glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching!

Dual gets silver calipers. Not black.

So cool! And capable! And functional!
For 90k I would get F150 lightening. One thing Rivian got going for it is no dealerships.
This is a beautiful truck. Loving these new EV trucks!
We're glad you like it, thanks for watching!
You are amazing keep it up
Awesome truck!
i really like the headlights. brings back that old miata viba where the car had a face.

@@paulw575 so who is this truck for them? Do you have a rivian and do you like it?

My understanding the camp kitchen has been canceled.
This is close to what Tesla would’ve made if Elon hadn’t lost his mind
nice car

Something tells me this man has never really daily driven AT tires.
Me too
you gotta have swag to drive an EV
A guy had a dent in his Rivian at the back left taillight. They wanted 40k to fix that small dent.
If I owned one of these i'd want to flaunt it not hide it
Can't Stop Laughing 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
It is a practical truck but both the exteriror and interior look rather dated already.
you know you have arrived when you own an EV
Ya
a real Vassal or Lord
I want an electric truck but I want a compact 2 seater with a 6 ft bed. I work. I need a work truck. I dont want a luxury truck.
Gonna have to wait for the future
Even in the future that's not ever being made

Happy to say, Chevrolet is releasing an EV work truck!
It looks to be the Avalanche design where you can make the bed 8’.

That thing is so ugly that you literally without exaggeration couldn’t freely give it away to me lol
Wait until you have to replace the battery systems. Then you will be sick as hell at wasting so much money on any EV vehicle. Shalom
And the winner is… The Ford F150, lightning platinum edition 😂

You will NOT get 400 miles range. Ever! ...unless you crawl along at 30 mph, not stopping, on a sunny 70 deg day.
Electric vehicles are on the down slide. These over priced overrated vehicles will become dinosaurs in the future Time Will Tell.
