Rivian only makes sense as an ego/prestige buy unless you regularly face off-road conditions. Seemed to me he was way too kind to the Rivian in the scoring a few times (e.g., value and driving scores). The EV-9 is plenty fast and wins by light-years in everything that would matter to most buyers.
I love my EV9. Few things you missed: - The little plus in the mini HVAC screen brings up the full controls on the bigger screen. Then hitting that button again will take the big screen back to where you were before - the EV9 has the ability for you to manually pre-condition the batter without putting anything in the map.
I tried both cars top of the line. I chose the EV9 without any doubts. As much as like the Rivian's style, i don't like the price and the lack of comfort options. Not mentioning numerous known problems, and the noise in the cabin 🙄

Yep and control the max speed with the left and right. It's a good review but he missed a bunch of stuff. Could be on the EV9 as well that he missed stuff. Both great vehicles but only one is a proper offroad vehicle.
I'm all things EV. I'm glad Kia is killing it with the EV9 and for those moving from a traditional ICE SUV and want to maintain similar characteristics, it's for you. We have the R1S and for reasons I can't mention here, it just works for us and prefer it over the EV9. It's a machine capable of everything and we have the quad motor. There are no losers here, just want works and what you can really afford.
Seems like this is a bias comparison. I am surprised Rivian lost to Kia in terms of tech. Nonetheless, Rivian does need more work on the tech (infotainment and assisted driving) and win it next year.
@@RealDKuz Also Rivian uses software tools and hardwares that are way ahead of Kia's times and their OTA major updates are basically turns the R1s into a new beast every time
The vent situation in the R1S has a super practical application. My wife hates having air directly blowing on her. I want the vents pointing directly at me. Since the vents position is software-based and linked to driver profile, when either of us gets in the car, the vents return to our preferred positions automatically. It’s actually great.
Can change follow distance on Rivian by rotating right scroll wheel on steering wheel. And do not have to pay for subscription data plan to use Spotify, Apple Music etc as able to tether to mobile phone.
While I understand they're in a similar segment, are people cross shopping these? One is basically on offroad truck platform, and the other a crossover/minivan. This also missed a lot of those truck like use cases the Rivian excels at, such as towing, and cargo capacity
Glad you mentioned the towing, at a minimum the R1S has a 2700 lbs advantage. Families go camping and the Kia could not haul our trailer. The R1S has a trailer brake controller not even offered on the Kia.
This review seems very subtly biased or sponsored by Kia. The reviewer did not mention ev9’s limitations at superchargers and missed to mention a number of features of r1s. did not know there are charge ports in the 3rd row, did not know the 2nd row screen had a child lock preventing him to change temps, air compressor, 110v outlet, frunk can be used as a cooler, higher resolution cameras, more cameras and sensors enabling future upgradability, off roading capabilities, projector dynamic headlights, towing capabilities, lfp battery available in std version, way better mobile features. Kia also charges a subscription for using phone as a key. He also picked the worst exterior color and black interior colors of Rivian to compare with the arguably the beat exterior and interior colors of ev9. There was a very subtle undertone to make the ev9 sound better for family hauler function without describing the versatility of r1s.
great vid as always.. but here's a suggestion: why not list separate efficiency figures (in m/kwh or kwh/100kms or whatever) for urban AND highway driving? these are typical metrics for fuel vehicles but don't seem to be normally reported by many EV reviewers. I do long distances frequently and want to know an EV's efficiency at highway speeds
Not sure if it was mentioned in the review, but the Rivian's Sport Mode setting makes it a quite competent handling sports coup for anyone interested in such performance. Paticularly considering its size and weight.
You absolutely can manually precondition the battery, the EV9 has a specific menu for that (at least in our EU model). But its buried in the infotainment tho.
The Kia charges at Tesla superchargers at 85kWh max (slow) due to its 800v architecture. The Rivian can charge at 200+kWh at a supercharger. This is a HUGE difference for the ability to road trip. The Rivian frunk also makes a huge difference in that regard. No comparison for me.
@@psychocinology For Rivian? That's nice. But people obsess over frunk for cars with no auto features too. I just never understood it. Front of the car is the dirtiest.
@@trstnhn I think it's the novelty of having more storage space in an area that has always been assigned to a large ICE and therefore not available for storage.

On the economics, your should have compared the Standard or even the Large battery Rivian to the EV9. The RIvian Max is considerably more range and cost - 25%+ more range.
Wow, so many inaccuracies in this review, disappointing that the reviewer did not truly learn more about the vehicles beforehand. If you’re considering any of these vehicles, please do additional research. Particularly inaccurate information given on the R1S
There are USB C for the 3rd row you missed them in the review they are under the 3rd row arm rests on either side, you just need to pop up the arm rest and you have storage and a USB C port
good review, but you forgot to mention that Kia EV9 uses 800V architecture and so you can't charge well at Tesla supercharger stations. The Rivian, does a much better job at these stations. That is huge to be able to take advantage of Tesla supercharger stations for road trips. Tesla is working on V4 800V stations, but they aren't here in the US much.
Several points you have in favor of the Kia are huge negatives if you're going to use the Rivian as an actual SUV. Examples: second row captains chairs is a huge negative if you mostly need the rear for cargo, higher load floor means more ground clearance which is a huge advantage on any unpaved road, range is king as an adventure vehicle of any kind.
I had chosen the EV9, no brainer for me. They offer a fantastic lease deal now and you get plenty of tech and comfort for the money. Korean or not, they know how to build cars and came a long way. Also, the factory coverage is fantastic.
I respect Edmunds reviews, but this one was a bit off. The only thing the R1S and the EV9 have in common is that they both have 3rd row seats and are EVs. That's it. The R1S is a lifestyle vehicle....it is a vehicle dedicated *primarily* for off road adventures that *happens* to go on the road as well. I understand that the argument around Edmunds' office must have been something to the effect of "People don't take their vehicles off road that often, so we will review them as people will use them"....but that doesn't change the fact or purpose Rivian had for the R1S, which they have extensively spoken at length. This review is like someone grabbing a fire extinguisher, using it as a pillow, and then complaining that it isn't comfortable enough....because folks 'will most likely use it like a pillow" There are specific reasons for the internal and external dimensions, including the width of the vehicle, and they're all purposed to be able to make the vehicle get in places no other vehicle can. Although I appreciate Brian *so very lightly* touching on this, that should have been the whole review. The point of this review should have been how "road friendly" the Rivian was regardless being primarily designed for off road use....and how close it managed to get to the EV9 even though that car will take a trip to the body shop if it did anything remotely close to what the R1S is capable of. I think Edmunds' is professional enough and capable of viewing things objectively that I'm sure they will be willing to re-shoot this video and pick the right subject matter to study between these two.
Thanks for your great video. They are both excellent vehicles in different ways. If I were replacing a minivian I think the Kia would be a strong contender. For a true SUV I would favor the Rivian for range and size.
Not a fan of captains chairs, with 3 kids in a vehicle this size, you have to use the 3rd row and lose most of your storage. The Rivian has excellent storage space, both the trunk and Frunk.
Did they take out the third row chargeports out of the R1S or did the Edmunds staff not bother to realize that the arm rests are also doors to cubbies with ports inside? 🤔
Right? I was shocked when he awarded the "technology" category to the EV9! They have two completely disconnected navigation systems! Can you imagine trying to explain that to someone who's new to EVs?
The only reason they mention is carplay/android auto support. I would be interested what do they think about technology between Tesla's car vs Toyota Corolla.
OMG I've watched a lot of reviews this is so biased towards the KIA. Rivian is a much better vechile plus they get software updates almost every month with new features.
Out of spec did a range test on the EV9 GT line and got 266 miles and completely drained the battery. I do not trust Edmunds number of 302 miles. Why would Kia undersell their range by that much? In that case, the base R1S is priced exactly in line with the EV9 as they are both comparably equipped except the Rivian has air suspension. For me, 270 mile range is just not enough for a family car that we will be taking on road trips so that is a deal breaker for me for the EV9. I also want good snow and off road performance for skip trips and off grid camping. The only thing the EV9 has over the R1S is passenger space and comfort, including ride and driving noise. So if that is a priority than go with the EV9. But everything else, including cargo space, range options, performance, off road capability, and IMO looks and vibe, go with the Rivian. So for me hands down the R1S is the better all around vehicle.
A few things to consider about this comparison: 1. You had to go through an explanation between price, power, etc. because you picked variations of these vehicles that were not matched closely enough. Of course the Kia "did a little better" in braking than the Rivian, it's lighter. But, you also failed to mention that even the base-model R1S is a tad faster than the EV9 you tested. 2. You went on and on about the 3rd row in both of these vehicles and drew attention to the fact that you'd be uncomfortable if you had 2 clones with you for a long trip and had to ride back there in the Rivian. But, how common is this scenario? Are there families of 7, full-grown Mormons constantly driving around on road trips? The answer is no. Most people will use this vehicle for things like dropping kids off at school, going to soccer/ballet/baseball, taking the kids to the movies, picking up groceries, etc. The common family lists 2.51 people per family in the US, so there just aren't huge families driving around like you tried to portray. 3. You completely glossed over the fact that Rivian offers several options for this vehicle depending on what you intend to use it for. Not only can you choose larger, 22" wheels and lower-profile tires, but you can also select all-terrain, 33" tires on 20" rims, and that doesn't even take into account the available off-road package! Aside from that, you never even mentioned the drive modes! The Ev9 has 4 standard: Eco, Normal, Sport, and Custom. IF you buy the AWD version, then you get a Snow mode. The R1S has 3 on the base model of All Purpose, All Terrain, and Snow. Within all of those modes, you can still customize things like the ride height and ride stiffness. The Kia doesn't have the same amount of control within these. However, the R1S also offers buyers the option to include all of the following: All Purpose, All Terrain, Snow, Sport, Soft Sand, Rally, Drift, Rock Crawl, and Conserve. There's even a towing mode and every one of them has adjustments that the driver can make within them. You didn't even mention "Kneel Mode" where the R1S drops down to its lowest height when placed in park to allow easier access to the vehicle. 4. You talked for less than 30 seconds about the capabilities of the R1S for strictly off-road use to basically sum it up by saying that it had a lot higher clearance than the Kia and you shouldn't use it like that unless you wanted to visit a body shop. True but, lacking. While you did mention the camping mode self-leveling, you didn't talk about any of the other cool features like the built-in air compressor (which allows you to go off-roading, air down, then air back up before hitting the road, pump up your bike tires, soccer/basketballs, SUPs) or multiple charge ports in the trunk and rear cargo area. There are also things like exterior lighting, built-in safety gear, removable speakers, and other storage areas within the main cabin. 5. You were incorrect about a lot of features in the Rivian regarding things like the AC controls in the back and the charging plugs in the 3rd row. The Regen braking on this SUV is also amazing. It's much better at helping to retain charge than my previous Tesla was. 6. Storage you did elaborate pretty well but, again most people are going to only be using the front and 2nd-row seats. The 3rd row in my Rivian is always down so that I can accommodate all of my camera gear. Ultimately, this comparison was mismatched, in my opinion. The Kia is still a great vehicle, but it's not nearly as versatile as the R1S. If you're someone who goes to the mall more than anything else, yes. You may like the Kia better. But, to really represent the R1S for everything that it offers, you shouldn't have done such a lazy video. If Edmunds needs someone else, let me know.
His point is the Rivian is better, but no for this money! Overpay $25k it is too much and if we take a current US market you can actually find the huge deal to get this KIA EV9 GT-line for $61k which is $16K less than MSRP and which is $40k less than the Rivian, $40K gap is insain!!! Can you get deal on Rivian? I think for 40k you can buy one more electric vehicle🤔
@@vzheka1981 The top end EV9 and base R1S have some overlap, but this review really seems slanted towards the Kia. The EV9 is basically a minivan in SUV skin. The R1S is designed as a truck. The EV9 will be much easier to repair if it gets into a fender bender at the supermarket or school parking lot where it will be spending 90% of its time. Lower insurance rates as well. The R1S will be costlier to own and operate, but if you actually intend to put that ground clearance to the test the EV9 would fail most tests that the R1S, Model X or EQS could pass. The reviewer giving the EV9 a higher tech score while not understanding how powerful the R1S' infotainment processor should pretty much tell you how much background research they did. The R1S could run most AAA games at 720P and possibly 1080P, not happening on the Ev9. I like the interior of the EV9 more but from a function standpoint the R1S appears to hit more wins on a radar graph.
@@Unloaded74 No doubt. I just had my first ride in a Rivian quad motor (belongs to a cousin) on Monday. Awesome vehicle, and FWIW, I've driven just about every make, and owned about 30 cars in my ~50 years of driving.
@@mattspeer01the Kia is a minivan calling itself an SUV. You can't be a SUV without an hint of off road ability, and before you ask, I know almost all car companies get it wrong.
There are charge ports in the 3rd row. This feels like a comparison that started with a conclusion. The EV9 is great, but the Rivian has a much better software stack and off-road capability. It also has better performance and actual range.
Seriously? You gave Kia a higher interior score than Rivian? Your review seems biased towards Kia from the start. I think you need to reevaluate your criteria for a fair comparison!
I honestly don't know how more channels haven't made this comparison yet. Several people I know are actively cross-shopping them, I'll forward them this video
His only job is to review the cars, and before reviewing, it's better if he spends more time diving into all the features. He surprises me when he says Rivian doesn't have an option to adjust the distance for adaptive cruise, no adjustments for rear climate, and lack of charge ports on the 3rd row. He also mentions that they have a long-term R1t. Rivians software is not close to Tesla's but ahead of Kia's. Both cars cater to different markets same like some of the videos where they compare the new Santafe to the Defender 😂
The most problem free car I’ve ever bought was my 2014 Kia Soul. I moved in to something larger. If I needed a 3 row EV I wouldn’t hesitate to buy an EV 9. The R1s is in a whole other price category.

I HATE Captains chairs!!! Yikes!!! I prefer the bench seat that sits 3 comfortably and then 2 smaller bench seats in the 3rd row. The rear 3rd row is for kids or smaller adults. Row 1 & 2 fit the big 6’3” linebacker men of my family well. I absolutely love the seats and my R1S gets so many compliments on them. The EV9 interior looks cheap and unrefined to me. The shape and color of them gives me the ick😖What you call trickery😮 which is a negative description of the R1S and reflects your strong bias throughout this review comparison is essential for some of us who want and need adventure vehicles. Driving a R1S is a supreme experience and I feel joy driving mine home from work or to the store and feel secure on more challenging roads and rainy weather conditions.
As someone who has really dug into the hidden underneath parts of the vehicles, all I have to say is don’t underestimate the value of a car designed, engineered, manufactured, and supported by large and long-established vehicle manufacturing company versus a small new startup. I love what Rivian is doing on paper but I recently just bought an EV9 myself. I hope Rivian is still around for me to revisit this same comparison in five or six years, and maybe the outcome will be different; but today, I easily landed on the E-GMP platform.
Agreed just unfortunate they won't stick a larger battery. 99.8kwh is good (although IDK if this is net or gross). But to comfortably get around 300 miles on the highway going 75mph you need a net/gross capacity around 125
@@Aegisx5 I didn't mean to imply that the parts were of low quality. I'm specifically talking about the design and engineering. Smaller startup -- even Tesla (maybe ESPECIALLY Tesla) -- tend to start with a clean sheet when designing a vehicle. In some ways, this is great. Back to the case of Tesla, it has allowed them to design their motors, cooling, wiring, charging, etc. in a very innovative and efficient manner. However, in many cases, it leads them to do things that are less than ideal with suspension, manufacturing processes, etc. because they don't have decades of experience of why their "this way seems so much better" methods might not be optimal in reality. Once again, look at Tesla... fantastic EV backbone wrapped in a total dumpster fire of a vehicle.
I love the look of the R1S slightly more thought though they both look great. Ultimately, I’d choose the EV9 as it has more comfort options, features and a better price while still looking very stately and awesome. It’s also from an established brand so that’s another plus for me.
Kia paywalls phone as a key after the trial period ends (one year last I heard) as well as remote pre-conditioning. I refuse to buy a vehicle from any manufacturer who paywalls basic features that can easily be done via a bluetooth connection at no cost to them.

@@joetz1 you're probably right on the value but perceptions aren't always reality. Kia/Hyundai is really upping their game. Full disclosure - I own a Kia.
Rivian wins due to BENCH SECOND ROW. Any family with 8 doesn't fit the EV9 so the EV9 will be automatically rule out. A family of 5 would prefer the Rivian bench seat and fold down the 3 rows for extra room for a dog and storage.
I’ve owned a couple of Kia’s over the years (Sportage and Cadenza). I loved driving them. Unfortunately, they both had electrical issues after the warranty ran out. I wouldn’t want to buy an electric vehicle from them. Their lower price point is so tempting, but past experiences caused me to look elsewhere.
The only thing EV9 need to do is get rid of the power on button. It is at the most awkward location ever and waiting for the NACS solution since charging at Tesla super charge is only at 84kw
They both have charge ports on the wrong corner --- This needs to get fixed. I've seen Rivians waiting for Superchargers when 1/2 the stalls are idle, as they need 2 spots
Over the past 20 years, the average size of American households has decreased. In the early 2000s, it was about 2.6-2.7 people per household, and by 2023, it had declined to 2.5 people. This trend reflects demographic changes like fewer children per family, the rise in single-person households, and an aging population. The gradual decrease is influenced by shifts in family structure and lifestyle choices. On what planet do you need three row SUV in the USA?
Great review! Odd you told folks you can’t manually precondition the battery - it’s the first HMG model to allow that, might be worth putting a correction over that part 🫡
Why do people still want AA/AC in 2024? They were designed because legacy auto has HOT garbage for infotainment systems, and needed help. SDV’s don’t need your phone’s help anymore!
I had access to the Kia EV9 GT line as a Canadian customer did not want it, I had an offer on my 2023 Tesla Model Y AWD long range all written up, as I had such a bad issue with Tesla and their 7 pin towing connector still does not support 12volt AUX power so with the larger battery of the EV9 I thought it would be a great choice. Just before I decided to throw the switch I thought I would check BC and Alberta EV charging situation especially EC (Electricfied Canada) the main reason why I decided to sell my 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 5 was the DC charging situation, and on Plug Share it is far worse than it was last year. We have had great adoption of EVs in BC so the DC fast chargers are getting overloaded and the reliability due to the heavy use has gotten far worse, which is too bad, much more reports of 1 hour waits at chargers, with only 1 of the 4 functioning was the deal breaker, too bad as I love the EV9. I hear in the USA EA seems to be improving, likley at our EC cost. Forgot to mention my dealer has a 200 EV9 backlog, likely 2 years away if I order one now, I hear in USA much more readily available.
but it is very difficult to see which is durable at this point I guess. Most kia cars start giving trouble after 80k mark. Rivian given its debute cannot prove it either. Time will tell which is actually a right buy. I vote for Rivian, simply because it has higher built quality appearance.

How come you give Kia advantage in technology just because it supports Apple Carplay, Android Auto! Rivian's built in map and navigation is far ahead and you can use voice command for navigation, has built in Spotify, Audible, Apple Music, and video streamings are comming. Has hotspot. Media and climate can be controlled from rear screen. I am pretty sure the reviewer will put Toyota Corolla ahead of Tesla in terms of technology because of this.
most EV reviewers do talk a lot about the built-in nav but I think a lot of people like knowing they can bring their functionality with them between cars instead of learning a new car's nav. its a deal breaker for some people.
Is Kia allowed to charge at Tesla chargers? If not, then R1S has a huge advantage. Also, for outdoor enthusiasts, R1S does so much more with offroading, camping modes and more storage.

Can change follow distance on Rivian by rotating right scroll wheel on steering wheel. And do not have to pay for subscription data plan to use Spotify, Apple Music etc as able to tether to mobile phone.
Giving the nod to EV9 on handling, and saying that it did better on the skid pad than R1S is…surprising, if not suspicious.
While I understand they're in a similar segment, are people cross shopping these? One is basically on offroad truck platform, and the other a crossover/minivan. This also missed a lot of those truck like use cases the Rivian excels at, such as towing, and cargo capacity
Correct, they are both three row evs, but this is like comparing a Dodge Caravan and a Land Rover Defender.
Glad you mentioned the towing, at a minimum the R1S has a 2700 lbs advantage. Families go camping and the Kia could not haul our trailer. The R1S has a trailer brake controller not even offered on the Kia.
We cross-shopped for sure.
Yeah, but if electric + 3 rows are your only criteria then these are your only options (for the next few months)
@@mechmat12345I couldn’t agree more. The review was so biased😐against Rivian.
C'mon Brian, 5'9" isn't "just under 6 feet"😂
This!!
So biased made me wonder if the review was sponsored by Kia😟
great vid as always.. but here's a suggestion: why not list separate efficiency figures (in m/kwh or kwh/100kms or whatever) for urban AND highway driving? these are typical metrics for fuel vehicles but don't seem to be normally reported by many EV reviewers. I do long distances frequently and want to know an EV's efficiency at highway speeds
No comparison between the charging curve and max charging capabilities? I take that as one of the most important point for "long range" EVS.
This is a comparison between a crossover and a 4x4
The Kia charges at Tesla superchargers at 85kWh max (slow) due to its 800v architecture. The Rivian can charge at 200+kWh at a supercharger. This is a HUGE difference for the ability to road trip.
The Rivian frunk also makes a huge difference in that regard. No comparison for me.
Can you help me understand people's obsession with frunk? Do people like touching bug guts splattered all over the hood?

Rivain is a huge win in my opinion.
On the economics, your should have compared the Standard or even the Large battery Rivian to the EV9. The RIvian Max is considerably more range and cost - 25%+ more range.
Umm... there are charge ports in the 3rd row. Check out the arm rests on either side. Chargers are inside.
True. Just came back from a Maine roadtrip in my rivian and it was only feasible bc of Tesla sc. there are no ccs in most of the area.
He did mention about access to Tesla Superchargers for Rivian
Hyundai/Kia will be switching over to the Tesla charging system sometime next year...
Never had a problem with charging my EV9 a lot faster than the rivian, I don't use Tesla charging
@@joseventura2522 don’t you have issues charging at EV go or electric America? You hear nightmare stores of it with a lot of stalls down
Several points you have in favor of the Kia are huge negatives if you're going to use the Rivian as an actual SUV.
This review is like someone grabbing a fire extinguisher, using it as a pillow, and then complaining that it isn't comfortable enough....because folks 'will most likely use it like a pillow"
There are specific reasons for the internal and external dimensions, including the width of the vehicle, and they're all purposed to be able to make the vehicle get in places no other vehicle can.
Agree! We have a minivan now and each extra seat has equaled so many times we needed one less vehicle. That subfloor space is nice.
Kia does offer the EV9 without the captain chairs and instead something more conventional that will fit three in the middle row.
Great review. Subscribed
Did they take out the third row chargeports out of the R1S or did the Edmunds staff not bother to realize that the arm rests are also doors to cubbies with ports inside? 🤔
I'd love to see a comparison of the OTA updates and app functionality too. The Rivians software is a mile ahead.
Right? I was shocked when he awarded the "technology" category to the EV9! They have two completely disconnected navigation systems! Can you imagine trying to explain that to someone who's new to EVs?
First time I've ever seen someone award technology to the EV9. Are they also getting monthly over the air upgrades like Rivian?
The only reason they mention is carplay/android auto support. I would be interested what do they think about technology between Tesla's car vs Toyota Corolla.
Reviewer was high af
The advantages of the Rivian you mention from 11:50 are actually available on the EV9 as well, and Kia navigation works really excellent.
OMG I've watched a lot of reviews this is so biased towards the KIA. Rivian is a much better vechile plus they get software updates almost every month with new features.
I think you are the one with the bias too...
A few things to consider about this comparison:
The top speed of the R1S has been increased to 130 (up from 110mph) with the recent update, so your quarter mile times will be higher.

There are charge ports in the 3rd row. This feels like a comparison that started with a conclusion. The EV9 is great, but the Rivian has a much better software stack and off-road capability. It also has better performance and actual range.

The color of the Rivian with the black wheels just looks too cool.
Weird you didn't compare these to the 24 Model X. That's the gold standard SUV wise imo.

Does the Rivian have Vehicle 2 Load feature? Can you use the rivian battery as a power generator?
Cadillac will soon have a 3-row electric SUV out, the Vistiq. I'd wait for that.
The rivian should have had a bigger lead in the cargo category.
EV9 makes sense $$-wise, and it drives really nice, BUT, I still like the styling on the R1S sooooo muuuch better

Will Rivian still be around in couple years?🤔
You forgot to mention that most of Kia EV9 are on discounts ranging from $9,000 to $19,000, depends on a dealership.
Munro did a teardown of the Rivian R1S and said it should cost $150K based on the amount of premium components used.

If you’re comparing on-road vehicles it’s one thing. If you plan on going off-road there is only one choice.
I love the look of the R1S slightly more thought though they both look great. Ultimately, I’d choose the EV9 as it has more comfort options, features and a better price while still looking very stately and awesome. It’s also from an established brand so that’s another plus for me.

The EV9 looks nice but ... I want manual controls and buttons! Displays should be view only, no touch display.

Why do people still want AA/AC in 2024? They were designed because legacy auto has HOT garbage for infotainment systems, and needed help. SDV’s don’t need your phone’s help anymore!
Car reviewers love it because they drive 100 times as many cars as normal people. Anyone who owns these gets over it in a day.
