    Even a broken clock is right twice a day 😉

    I try going by when my one year old goes potty. But she does not have a schedule with peeing or pooping.

      I would try transition times instead. Check out my 4 easy catches playlist :)

    Thanks Andrea, I find your posts very helpful. We have been pottying my now 13 month old since she was 7 months on a 'part time' basis. Now we find she is resisting and doesn't give off any cues at all. Any tips for us please! I think I am done cleaning our cloth nappies! Haha!

      You are so welcome!
      It can be rough when our little ones are resisting. I would do some observation time to make sure her signal hasn't changed and to check in that you aren't over offering. Kiddos can change so quickly on us that, we can often miss those subtle changes.

    Hi! I’m currently 9 weeks and so fascinated by this idea! I was curious as to how ec May differ or if it does with having either a girl or boy? I feel like it would be more difficult to catch with a boy

      Hi Kelsie! It isn't any different except for with boys you can aim a little better. You'll get the hang of it as you practice with EC. Like anything, confidence comes with practice.

    Hey Andrea :) I’m struggling right now. My baby is 2 months old and he seems to constantly be going through growth spurts. I’m having difficulty picking up on any cues. It seems like he does the same things when he’s tired/hungry/gassy/needs the potty. Lately I’ve been having him at the breast almost constantly and if I take him off he can get really upset. Any advice for this?

      Hi Kaitlyn! Growth spurts are tough, I totally understand. You can try pottying him over a top hat potty while nursing. If his signals are confusing right now, use the other roads to potty. This post should help godiaperfree.com/how-to-know-when-your-baby-needs-to-pee/

    Hi Andrea, my son is 8 months old and I feel like I have to offer the potty ever 15 mins because I’ll offer it to him and then he either won’t pee at all or tinkle and then once I set him down and I’m busy doing other things then he will pee. For example I offer the potty before a meal but then during the meal he will pee twice so I have to stop mid meal to offer it to him again and then offer it again after then meal since is natural timing is 5 mins after the meal. I feel very lost. :(

      Sounds like you need to give your little one some privacy.
      Try looking away and not giving your little one any attention or focus.

    Can you explain this more? My son is 7 months old and he drinks a lot of water in between 2 meals and random feeds. I don't time him as such but yes naturally they fall around the same time usually. how do I time and check his pee if not making him sit every half hour?? How do u suggest I go about that??

      You would want to do diaper free observation. Start after a meal and note the time for every elimination. Do this for an hour or so daily until you see his pattern.

    So how long can they hold their pee for then?

    • @AndreaOlson
      @AndreaOlson  ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on the age of the baby, as well as their natural timing, which you would learn with EC! They won't hold it intentionally for long though, they will give you the signal, then if you ignore or miss it, they'll just pee!

    i really don't understand this Ec, bcz the baby pees while feeding too. How to run to toilet while nursing?

    • @AndreaOlson
      @AndreaOlson  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you want to catch those eliminations you can use a top hat potty while nursing. If not, that's fine too. EC doesn't have to be all or nothing, you can adjust it to fit your day.

    My baby actually pees every 10-15 mins after feeding....immediately after feeding...it’s 5 mins ...sometimes less than that....what should I do....should I try and catch them every time...she has started to get mad every time I take her to go...

    • @AndreaOlson
      @AndreaOlson  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you know she needs to go, then certainly take her. Sometimes when we begin to over offer they will resist us, so make sure you aren't over offering.
