    I don't drink coffee before running. It's a diuretic which makes you pee more and negatively affects hydration. You can get the same toilet effect from having warm water when you wake up or tea/green tea. Maybe try that?
    Also, better to ensure overall hydration over days, as opposed to drinking a lot just prior to a run and during a run. You're probably drinking too much in the hours before a race.

    Great content. Thank you for showing the running work out plan. How do you set up your run workouts in your Garmin. I see that your detail include warm up and rest. Would love to see one of those videos

    You should make a video about your tattoos, what they are, what they represent and what they mean to you. Maybe a bio video, when you started running. Your 1st race and your progress over the years. Much respect from Los Angeles.

    What about using some Celtic salt with your fluids try drag some more of the water into the cells instead of using and losing through your bladder

    Your physique is what I would love to have. Just found your channel. I was surprised by how many carbs you ate for how lean you are. Do you attribute that to your training? Genetics? Combination? Also, do you eat many vegetables or stick to carbs, protein and supplements? I eat pretty clean, love whole food carbs but nowhere near as lean.

    • @tommynewell
      @tommynewell  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think i burn through a lot of those carbs due to my training load. I actually don't eat many greens at the moment but try to a few times a week. I also take a greens powder from BPN supplements.

    Hi, I was wondering if you would have a workout schedule or advice for someone that wants to workout 6 days a week. Both running and lifting weights for a limited of one workout a day and 1 hour. Thanks.

    Ever considered ditching the pre run caffeine. If glycogen/electrolyte stores are low after sleeping adding water and stimulants you got nothing in your body to hold the water? Caffeine benefits are negligible at best if you’re having it everyday anyways.

    • @tommynewell
      @tommynewell  ปีที่แล้ว

      Might have to try it but the coffee mainly gets me going to the toilet before my run haha

      I like a warm cup of water with a bit of pink salt, sometimes I add lemon juice. helps me feel hydrated in the mornings and gets things moving.

    What is the difference in BPN's G1M Sport and BPN Electrolytes? Seems like they are selling the same product twice

    • @tommynewell
      @tommynewell  ปีที่แล้ว

      G1M has carbs in it and electrolytes as well. The BPN electrolytes is just electrolytes with no carbs.

    Try taking some mire sodium with water maybe add some salt tabletu to G1m. Courtney Dauwalter once said she was peeing like crazy at first part of 100miler and salt pills solved this problem( sodium helps to keep more water in the body) cheers🫡
