Take a shot every time I say ‘crack on’ 👀 (Plz don’t, I don’t want any lawsuits for alcohol poisoning) Hope you enjoy the video - huge amount of time and effort gone into making it happen - so please make sure to like the video, and comment down below ⬇️
Any chance you can take us through the equipment you use on the daily? from watch, to heart monitor and maybe how you've found all the equipment? maybe do like a what you started with to what you've invest in?
I've been transitioning from a bodybuilding style training into cycling for the past few years; this kind of videos really help me thinking I may get some satisfaction out of endurance sports even though I'm not theoretically built for them!
Bro unless you're talking olympic tier level, youre a human so youre literally engineered for endurance, weve Been hunting and exploring for thousands of years.
Really enjoy these longer videos. Great quality video as always and appreciate the time and effort required to put in to this, and all other videos. Cheers, dude!
Great video Fergus, thanks for sticking with it, clearly a big commitment time wise on your part. Much appreciated👍 Your content is, as always, very inspirational.
We appreciate you putting out engaging content despite your busy life. I have no idea how you balance it all, wishing you all the best for the celtman.
I’ve struggled with the idea of wanting to get strong and also good at long distance endurance events. Thanks for helping us know that it is very possible when you put in the work. I’m currently searching for my first decent road bike (currently riding a 1986 trek 400 series, so due for an upgrade).
If you haven't got something yet, look at a second hand cannondale synapse. I just picked one up for 500. and its a good quality light bike, worth a look at!
Another great video Fergus. I missed out on the the ballot for Celtman this year so loving your prep - hopefully next year eh??? Looking forward to seeing you smash the high course this year!!! 💪
I love your honesty in how it feels in the event videos😍 this sucks I can't be arsed it's dark etc🤣 Would you do a vid explaining how you think it works? Heavy legs into threshold is traditionally counterintuitive and you lose the benefits yadda yadda...but clearly not🏃🏋️🤘
Great video Fergus once again! After such a big week of training how does your recovery look like? You take a whole day off? How does your next week after that one looked like in terms of training? Did you lower volume/intensity? As a 23 year old currently hybrid training with CrossFit/running and also having a physical job I really love the way you do your videos and the free information you present to us both in terms of training and general day to day tasks. Keep it up!
Is there a reason that you train sumo deadlifts for your current goals or is it just what you did as a powerlifter? Loving the videos. Started doing a slight hybrid training plan at the moment: 20km holly bike ride yesterday and leg day today. Going to need the rest day tomorrow 😂
Hey mate, Just wondering if you have/will talk about increasing one's body weight specifically with the goal to gain muscle. You are a similar height to me ( 180cm) and I have noticed you always seem to hover north of 90kg whilst doing all the endurance work too. Did you bulk your way up to that weight in the past and then just maintained?
What is your link for Whoop ? I don't think it's in the description and would love to support the channel and give it a try ! Love the video well done mate
The demand on your knees must be tremendous.. have you ever experienced pain and if yes - how did you overcome it? Did you follow a specific rehab - Programm?
Great Video! A Video on programming a minimal hybrid program would be nice. With a regular 50h workweek, wife and two Kids I can't do two workouts a day Kr regular workouts longer than 60-90 min. What is the minimal dose to get better at strength and endurance? Currently I'm doing Strength training and cycling. Would love to add running to this but I feel that I just don't have enough time/sessions for this.
I’m afraid it’s totally individual my man so wouldn’t be able to prescribe here - our coaching platform OMNIA Performance is best place for info here (and perhaps ‘Hybrid 101’ as a programme!) - or, you can watch and dissect the 4 part series Jonny and I did last year on balancing strength and endurance training!
@@ferguscrawley95 could you maybe make a video with a quick introduction to the different Templates, maybe give an overview over a typical Training Week and the time needed to complete the workouts?
Nice one. Just a quick question. Would 'nt it be easier if you did your cardio workouts first and weights after since weight training takes more time to recover from?
Thanks for watching 👊🏼 It would not, significant skill/movement pattern degradation from cardio to weights, compared to much less the other way round! Physiologically, all the research indicates that in terms of energy pathways and overall adaptation - cardio before weights has a much more negative effect than the other way around!
Late to the party, usually my Sunday viewing but I cheated on you with Strength In Depth Fergus my apologies but Sam Briggs retired and that Blk Box legend Emma qualified - but enough of that, This video took a lot of effort, gutted the SD died on the Pentlands but what a great variation of training, how you try to fit so much into one day is very impressive and the balance is very motivating

You're a legend :D
Liked it before watching.. it’s an SOP!
Legend status 🤌🏼
Would be interesting to see how you approach stretching pre/post phys and how to prevent DOMS with this much volume and such little rest.
Definitely would be interested in seeing this, too!
great video! you have fans from Serbia
So much respect! You're a beast of a human
Great video, as usual. Motivating me for training this week

Cheers! Appreciate it!
I love this concept of the hybrid athlete. I have been looking for something like this. I train in multiple areas. I wish we had events to train for.

how do you get/keep yourself motivated?

Be great to have video on how you recover 😃
Can you do a video on exactly what your weightlifting sessions are as a hybrid athlete per week and why?
Quality video 🤙🏽⛰
Thank you! Appreciate it!
Is that swimming session efficient? 60sec rest seems so long
Of course I watch the whole thing.
Respect 👊🏼
Videos are great
Your friends bianchi? on the 170km Saturday ride? Which bianchi is it?

What sort of rest periods do you use when doing your sessions in gym for different rep ranges? Cheers

Do you usually do only three gym sessions/week? 😱

Very fair! Huge weekend for them both!
Garage envy.
Haha it does the job that’s for sure!
What’s the song during squats? 😍

Should train with Ross Edgley at some point
Ball in his court on that one! Let him know on his channel would be best way to go 🤷♂️
Fergus where in the UK are you?
Edinburgh, Scotland 🏴
This guy talks like how Americans think Britishers talk
Woop may be the best device on the market, I just refuse to rent or subscribe to anything else especially fitness equipment.
Long week!
Can confirm 😂
