    The only reason it’s missing Spotify and streaming, as well as satellite maps is because the owner isn’t paying for premium connectivity. It’s available, they just aren’t paying for it.

      Is it really possible to drive 380km (240 miles) in one charge?
      That would mean that Model 3 is able to drive more with 50 kWh capacity than Leaf on 62 kWh, which is a huge huge difference.
      To be more specific 22km (14 miles) more with 12-13 kWh less

    The phantom braking at 8:53 seems to be caused by a glitch; on the monitor, the passing car freezes and is displaced/lurched to the right. I assume that the system takes this for the real movement and anticipates a lanechange.
    The phantom braking at 11:07 is not a phantom braking but a feature. According to the european manual, page 85, the car will not overtake if it is not on a left lane and it will adapt the same speed of the other car instead.

      I'm in the same boat, the only features I'd like to have would be the ambient lighting and heated rear seats (got too used to them in my Charger), but obviously I can live without them. My province had a $10,000 incentive applicable for only the SR+, so add that to the $13,000 premium for the LR model with premium interior and it was a no-brainer. For a city boy like me and with all the free charging around me, the SR+ is plenty of car, and even without home charging at my condo I've had no problems with range.

If so, I would like you to do a video in coordination with the Owner, removing the rear bumper cover, so we could see if the tow hitch is different than the one currently available aftermarket in the US. Also it would be great to see how they integrated the trailer light wiring. Does the bumper cover have a special integrated panel window that is not present on MC Hammer, or is it just a cut hole similar to the aftermarket tow hitch?

      From what i heard you can no longer get the LR RWD due to battery shortage and tesla would rather sell you the AWD since it uses the same amount of batteries. I think in the future tesla will offer more options again when they are no longer cell constrained. The same reason why the Model Y is moved forward and Semi back.

    3.1 Bar is 44.96 PSI which is crazy high! Is this due to how heavy the car is? My low rolling resistance tires are inflated to 32 PSI which is 2.2 Bar and they have a max inflation rating of 44 PSI which is 3 bar. We have very high summer temps in Australia so I wouldn't ever inflate them to 44 as the heat may make the pressure go over the max rating. Also traction is reduced in wet conditions at high tire pressures that's why the off-road 4x4 people deflate there tires to increase the contact patch.

    • @MikeDeeee
      @MikeDeeee 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Max rating always for cold tyre. 3.1 bar is high but not extremely high. Had several cars in the past that recommended such a pressure for the rear tyres when fully loaded.

    Coasting and getting high speed actually wastes a lot of enery. Air resistance goes up with speed in square so it is almost always better to regen the energy and stay at lower speeds.

    • @bjornnyland
      @bjornnyland  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Incorrect. Regen and power output has losses too. And Model 3 is very aerodynamic.

    • @lauril1377
      @lauril1377 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@bjornnyland Sure, but air resistance formula has velocity squared. So that when your speed goes from 25m/s (~90kph) to 30m/s (~110kph) the air resistance force rises 30sq/25sq = 1.44 times! Let's assume regen efficiency is around 0.8 and drivetrain efficiency also 0.8. That would leave you 0.8*0.8=0.64 of the potential energy. With driving 90kph regen (assuming 80% efficiency both regen and driving) or coasting up to 110kph - would be better to regen not coast!

    • @lauril1377
      @lauril1377 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bjornnyland Think of it this way. You have high mountain to drive over.
      Run 1 = you drive up the mountain 30kph and down the mountain 30kph. Lots of regen and very little loss to air resistance force.
      Run 2 = you drive up the mountain 150kph and down the mountain 150kph. Almost no regen and lots of air resistance going both up and won the hill
      Run 1 would win in energy consumption because the air resistance is low. With run 2 you spend a lot of energy because of air resistance.
