How reliable has the car been so far? I'm getting a stage 1 tune in the upcoming weeks, I only have a k&n air intake so far. The tuning company doesn't advise me to go above 180 hp and 270 nm torque, but they do say it can be upped to 300 nm and 185 hp too, however they advise against it. How's your experience regarding this so far?
This car has been reliable as hell, I've had it for almost 9 years already and only had problems with my ignition coils once. Multiair and Tjet engines are very reliable, if you mantain them correctly, even with 260+hp I've never experienced any problems.
I know it's late but honestly your tuning company don't have a clue about them. That is the basic map for the Fiat 500 which they just use on the MiTo. Over here in the UK we have loads of tuning companies that quote the same as you said here but then you talk to someone who actually knows the multiair engine on the mito and will advise otherwise. I know someone with 300hp+ with a better turbo, fuel injectors etc but still same engine. They are super reliable and can get to nearly 400hp on the stock engine WITH the supporting mods. My MiTo is roughly on 200hp with custom duel catback exhaust, carbon airbox, silicon hoses and soon to get intercooler. With a map it can go about 220hp with those mods (turbo limits it) with a better turbo and fuel injectors I am looking at 280-300ish (280 is safest). They are highly tuneable cars just not a lot of tuning companies know about them. See someone that knows about their engines
