Misha had it in Dynamic mode....would have been neat to have it in Race mode. That turns off all the nannies and with Misha's skill he would have found it was even faster. In D mode it uses an electronic limited slip setup but in that mode it uses the brakes to stabilize the car if it steps out a bit. This is a negative on slower turns or at autocrosses. To get that mode you hold the DNA switch lever for about 6 seconds. It also changes the engine shift points and will only work in manual shift mode....full automatic shift option is not used.

That 1750 engine is up there with so many great Alfa engines of the past. They use it in the W Series racing, unmodified, and I might live to regret what I’m about to say. There are some 1750 Brera, 159, Guilietta and maybe Mito, with the 1750, and some of them are MANUAL. Hopefully no-one in the UK will read this 😂
The two litre is a good option. Not that much heavier.. tough can be way more powerful. Stage 2 it does about this hp. Some went over 400hp with a hybrid turbo. With a car this light...
@@SPProduction02 that’s too much engine for the chassis. At 505hp driving 235 stock sized tires. Even 255 series tires in a really short wheelbase would take away the fun factor. I think 350whp and 300 torque is more than enough to keep this chassis fun but also get you tickling some dangerous speed.

i think the flashing oil light was for an oil service. more than likely not reset when it was last changed, the car has only flagged up the message probably because it thinks the oil has degraded past a certain %
The 4C is such a gorgeous car, i mean, we all know you can't get nor afford (the normal person) an 8C, and the 4C looks so much like it....mid engine, turbo, DCT, super light weight, full carbon monocoque, full composite body, Brembo's on all 4 corners, and a center of gravity that's 7cm lower than a damn Lotus Elise...... and its got a little 1.7L turbo I4....so you know its easy to make a big jump in power if you need AND it'll be good on gas.... what more could you want??😅
This car needs a new 3” down pipe and exhaust. That change allows the car to pull hard all the way to redline. In Race mode redline raises 200 rpm, but stability control is turned off. With some wet sections of track, Misha was keeping stability control active. There are few instances where this 2200lb car would benefit from power steering, 3 point turns, and long fast corners. Track days can be a workout. The car was imperfect from the factory, but a few simple mods make it an immensely fun car to drive. The sounds it makes with a EC V2 air intake are amazing. My 4C will always be in my collection. 14k miles w/o a single problem. It has been given many Italian Tuneups on and off the track😛

That wastegate sounds amazing! It reminds me of when I was younger and all of my car buddies who had turbo cars and were competing to see who could modify their wastegate to make it sound the coolest. Also, when I put cars up for sale and listed everything, the first question a potential buyer would ask was how loud the wastegate was. xD

Just curious why you drove it in Dynamic and not Race mode? The nannies are completely turned off in RACE. Also, not sure I love the bigger turbo. The stock turbo holds big boost until redline and spools quicker, I am not sure if the extra oomph was worth it there. Mine has stock turbo but runs with intake and modified ECU probably 35hp difference and I think having the more efficient turbo could have been an asset. I must say, this is my favourite of the year now. Incredible. You could see those arms working in the heavily loaded corners. Sad the BMW spoiled some of the nice momentum early on but brilliant lap, lovely execution and one of the best cars bar none.

I have only ever seen one in my whole life, and it was in my smallish Atlantic Canadian city two days ago. There is no question that it's a beautiful sports car--especially in red. The car shows I watch on the weekend that try, test out cars, and then reviews them say that it is fun to drive, but not as a daily driver and also the reliability is not good. If you are rich and want a neat little toy that very few people own, and have the means to deal with capricious maintenance and repairs, I say go for it. Styling like a boss!!!

That sound reminds me of my old Seat Ibiza Cupra MK4 and after a pod filter, a tune and battery relocation it the sound of the intake was huge and the lift off whoosh was addicting. I loved the sounds that car made very similar to what I could hear here.
Misha it seems that you took it easy in the corners. Is that because it's a short wheel base MR platform? For some reason I see these spinout more often than not. Reminds me of the 2nd gen MR2. One of the most environmentally friendly cars ever made . The whole body is made out of fiberglass infused recycled plastic . Meaning some plastic that would have otherwise ended up in the landfill or in the ocean got made into car parts instead .

I’ve got a 320bhp 1750 Giulietta and it’s amazing. I’ve had two others that were stock as well. Great engine. Easy to modify for big power

4C is quite reliable. Not sure what folks are basing that comment on. At the track also less expensive to run, light weight it’s easy on consumables.

It’s absolutely insane to me that helmets aren’t needed for these laps. Love watching all the different cars being put through their paces.
Same! I feel nervy just watching them tackle those hairpins and straights (with other cars on the track) without any safety gear in sight.
You need 6 point harnesses and h.a.n.s. device to make that helmet safe.
Airbag system and 3 point harnesses are not designed to work with helmets
Helmet adds extra weight on your neck in the event of a crash it's definitely doing more harm than good without a han's device like other said.
It is a regular german road (one-way toll road) during touristenfahrten. So they would have to change German law for this. Not going to happen.
