- The Bathurst 12 Hour, currently known as the Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour, is an endurance race for GT and production cars held at the Mount Panorama Circuit, in Bathurst, Australia.
It is an annual race, taking place every February. The race was first held in 1991 for Series Production cars and moved to Sydney's Eastern Creek Raceway in 1995 before being discontinued. The race was revived in 2007, again for production cars, before adding a new class for GT3 and other GT cars in 2011. This has led to unprecedented domestic and international exposure for the event. In all, eighteen races have taken place; seventeen at Mount Panorama and one at Eastern Creek Raceway.

It is incredible that after 12 hours of racing, the top 3 finish less than 2 seconds apart. Incredible circuit and incredible cars.
The way it just converged was beautiful, didn't even need a safety car for that.
2 more laps and there would have been a bit more action too. Shame for us but great for the chaps in 1st and 2nd haha
Yes between this race and the Daytona 24 few days ago we've had some great close finishes after so much racing. The beauty of endurance racing !
And that's while having the longest green flag period ever in the history of the race at just more than 4 and a half hours long.

Went to Mount Panorama for all 3 days of this year's Bathurst 12 Hour. Absolutely fantastic! Best Bathurst 12 Hour ever!

@@dannnsss8034 Nah VW really isnt into the GT-series at all by a proper VW car. Kinda dont need anyways since Audi is already well part of the GT-series.
Never a Bathurst 12 Hour without any hard core racing and incidents. What a great race to watch.
Camped on the mountain 9 times between 86 and 06 and should do it again for the 12 hour! Watching those first lap headlights come up and over Reid park would be awesome!
Takes me back to childhood and a slotcar set that had cars with headlights. Was cool
It is special but they need to push it back another 30mins so it's completely dark
12 hour is a much better experience than the 1000 .... insane. The parties and music start up like 2 hours before the race start, so much fun!

@@jianh1989 went in 2017 for Bathurst 1000 weekend, camped for 2 nights. Burnt our camping chairs and beet cans on the last night and started a bonfire with speaker blasting, you either into that sort of thing or don't.
@@fatbadboy329 if it's you burning your own belongings and minding your own business, I see no problem with that. Party all you like. If it's some drunks or drug addicts being nosy busybodies or looking to start troubles on purpose than no go.
Btw, I'm asking for the Bathurst 12H that's part of Intercontinental GTWC, not Bathurst 1000.

The Best Camera work for any GT Race in the world.. makes the European and American Camera work look amateurish... even Spa 24hours looks like it is being covered with a webcam...

Absolute race !!! Last week IMSA and now the GT3 on Mt Panorama .... absolute epic
The 12 hour delivers once again, Bathurst delivers once again. If there’s an index of racetracks measuring banging races held on it, the race to banger ratio of Bathurst is topping that and you can’t tell me otherwise. Fantastic. Hopefully next year the Mustang GT3 will be there, make it happen, Ford!
Have to admit...I never would've watched this if it wasn't for Josh Revell's video on this race. Fantastic racing!
I was live with the race until 3.20 am in Europe it was a great race up to that point . thanks for these Highlights that let me catch up with the last few hours events.

The top 3 cars finished only 1.43 seconds is the best thing i ever see in 2023 Bathurst 12hrs.

I was at the mountain to watch it. It was amazing
What an amazing race. The finish was insane. Mozzie gave us great entertainement throughout the race (shame he wasn't shown on the highlights), Mamba Mercedes had commanding pace all race, respect for that send near the end, Manthey was right up there in a farewell race for the 991.2 GT3 R, and SunEnergy Mercedes got their strategy absolutely right. Congrats to Kenny, Jules and Luca for going back-to-back. That flame-liveried Mercedes is becoming something of a legend. Same goes Jules, 3 times in a row.

@@OhKnow379 no, but the 991.2 GT3 R is a retiring model. It's replacement, the 992 GT3 R already made its debut at Daytona this year.

What an incredible finish
Engel was FLYING during the last part. Absolute beast mode! He deserved that penalty for sure. I am surprised he did that though. He would have passed him probably on the next corner or straight after that anyways. Just amazing he caught up to the top two leaders after all that.
Bathurst is in the top 3 circuits in the world in my opinion.. Hell it might not have the grandeur of spa or the nurburg ring but for its size and the climb up and down the mountain alone it generates much more exciting racing than spa and the ring.. So I think it should actually be number 1.

Racing this track is insane, I love seeing people passing on the mountain. Absolute mad lads, there really is only acouple turns and straights to make safe passes.
Hopefully there will be a bigger field next year. Always love the 12hr and always around to watch it every year.
We need GT4's in there! At least 30 cars would make the even so much better. One of the races before, sports sedans had 50 cars!

@@Alex-tu9bh cuz he didnt got away from gounon at that time when he didnt pit. So he would atleast be fight or be 2nd atleast 2 laps before the end and not just catching, cuz he was suuuper suuper fast!
@@t.bartels5992 He did pull away tho. 2 secs in 3 laps wasn't that much different towards his catch up pace at the end

The AMG is a beast at Bathurst, can't beat it here these days
