Have yet to play project cars 2 , BUT I need these kinds of circuits to race on. Man O Man I love the V8’s as much as NASCAR.
Does the audio cut a lot for anyone else
Yes . It's quite common LIVE . Mostly get it in driver view , not much they can do about it .

Does a good onboard from gold coast exist, this one could be but it has just so much lag.

Thanks that's not bad, good for observing bumps but, your is better as that one shows mainly car interior and driver actions, also is a bit pixelated. Just found this one: th-cam.com/video/_9QNts37G2A/w-d-xo.html. Not V8 supercars though :/

What's that whistle noise always coming from these race cars?
Straight-cut gears in the transmission. Advantages include better efficiency, less axial load on the drive shaft, ease of assembly, less likely chance of catastrophic failure, weight shaver, etc. The loud whine you hear is the downside of straight gears because the teeth of the gears "slam" together at a high rpm.

abc def it's the straight cut gears in the gearbox.
I reckon the whine actually sounds good, it's very a very unique sound, compared to v8s in NASCAR or Gt V8s like the corvette and Aston Martins
And I'm guessing lack of sound insulation like the road car
you would think redbull would have a good camera on the vehicles...
GWM V Haval V MG 1,3 petrol turbo V hybrid V electric . not looking promising.
