      Appreciate Video! Apologies for the intrusion, I am interested in your opinion. Have you researched - Lammywalness Erase Depression Guide (should be on google have a look)? It is an awesome one of a kind product for beating depression fast without the hard work. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my best friend Jordan finally got great success with it.

    Things that trigger my depression are loneliness, feeling like nobody cares, cyclical thoughts about the past, regrets about things I did or didn't do, comparing myself to others and feeling like I've failed, poor sleep. The things that help with my depression are taking adaptogens, eating a healthy diet especially raw vegetables, getting exercise, spending time in the sun, being around people, and getting adequate rest.

      So this is a depression in stage 1 I would say. Because you got it probably through not living healthy, you need depresser or not depressed those things. I'm dping those things and I medicate highest dose I can take. Still very depressed some times but actually less. I'm working on that.

    With four collegiate degrees, I am often trapped by this feeling of guilt that I haven't amounted to anything after all of this education. I developed PTSD in 2007 and it has created a great sense of self-doubt, worry, and depression from the inability to get past it all. I am often uplifted by music, both what I listen to and what I create. I am an avid writer, and writing also uplifts me.

      Music is an amazing mood altering language. I try to be careful when I am using music though - certain types can lift my mood while others can make me feel worse.

      Nicholas DeMarco Just in case you haven’t yet, please seek out a PTSD specialist psychologist/therapist. I waited to do that for over 20 years. I could’ve had a much better life those decades if I’d been to a PTSD specialist. It’s very hard, but sooo worth it. Hang in there!

    Uplifts for me: spending time with my kid. Riding my bike or any kind of exercise. Also recently found a pretty sweet mediation app.

      Is the app Headspace? A lot of people have been recommending it to me but I haven't tried it out yet.
      I'm a HUUUUUGE fan of biking! I love the feeling of going fast. It brings back a lot of great memories from childhood. I try to bike indoors during the winter but it's just not the same.

      agree. Never ever be depressed. It has "CONSEQUENCES" that you do not like especially for adults. Please know that life should be open to mistakes.

    What's helped me is 1) finding a free event to improv and network with other actors and 2) joining a highly active and positive online discussion group that stimulated my brain in engaging conversations.

      The Psych Show depression traps: feeling immobilized; making myself believe that I am not worthy/ hopeless/ helpless/ a failure. Uplifts my mood: going outside, listening to music, going to the book store.

    The trigger (I think) is thinking about what I want from the future and how I can get there. It also involves how things should be different right now already and that I should have more control over myself. I do not know how to cope at the moment, though a certain dark humoured "alls shit anyways but lets see where this is going" attitude got me so far (am in the 2nd year of uni).
    True coping comes hard. Last year I've been stuck for about 5 weeks and only got out through medication

    This current bout of depression stems from arguments over pursuing an entertainment career with my stepdad, failure to advance said career in a materialistic way I could show him over a two-year period, and loss of the network of like-minded artists. So, I was discouraged, disappointed, and lonely.

    Dude said he got depressed because he broke his leg… that’s like saying you have fallen in love with someone you’ve known in a week… broken leg heals in 6 weeks tops, depression can last a lifetime without little to no reason as to why

    My depression is because : it took me a decade to get the job ive always wanted. I Loved it.!! 20 yrs later, coworkers were getting in on Early retirement offer, i was gullible and convinced i earned it, deserved it. So., we did. I immediately realized i didn't want to retire, but was too late to stop.! I went into panic, and stress... then horrible depression. I cannot believe I did this....!!!!!! I miss my job, coworkers etc.... i realized how i actually planned never to retire, but... forget.! I really forgot how important my job was to me.. i kept listening to everyone that, i should retire... and listened to their dislikes of the job.... i BLEW IT. IT WAS MY FAVORITE JOB,.. I WANT IT BACK SO BAD,!! I don't do anything anymore, go anywhere, lost my body muscle, lost all interests on my life, don't communicate with family or friends... im dying,.. i ruined my life. I ruminate on my horrible mistake. I never felt this bad in my life.....

    I am on my purpose ,pursuing my career ..getting best grades .,working hard...but it just don't feels right sometime ...I know it's good to work hard m.but sometimes I feel I am not taking enough break or time for myself..if I do I am involved in too much temporary pleasures..on phone ..

    I'm trapped in the past. I often cried at night whenever I remember the nightmare that my parents showed to me. From childhood until now that I'm 20 years old it still hunting me every night. I feel like I'm tired of everything because I don't feel loved because they don't showed me love. I'm so hopeless. I feel like I have a phobia. They always fighting and I saw it all. I'm happy in front of the others but deep inside I'm broken. I don't want to feel inlove scared that it might happen to me. 😭
    I don't share it to other to think that they will might laugh and call me dramatic person. Now I can say that depression is not a joke.

      Dnt take antidepressants they are horrible. Take natural supplements. Tyrosine 500 mgs and sam e 100 mgs together work. You can buy them on amazon

    I feel like this helps navigating meltdowns or as he put it stop signs as I find most therapy and videos like these do but there's no solution to just day to day living life, I am unable to function on a day to day basis with my depression and as far as I can see there's no coping strategy solution for that

    Can you please help me?
    My study fell apart when I was in class 3 now I'm 16 soon 17 on April. And i just can't focus on anything I don't know what to do. I failed 3 then after class 6 summer vacation I stop going school. I changed my school I restudy class 6. My attendance was not well then in class 7 I couldn't go to school for months I was living was death I forced myself to go again. I gave my exam my marks were pretty well but because I was late a teacher mark me absent so I need to study 7 again but this time again same thing happe ( suicidal thoughts,self harm, lossing intereste to live wanting. I stop eating this happen many times, headache other physical issue) I can't express my feelings and emotions my thoughts. I can't speak. I can't focus. And my psychiatric don't understand me I don't want to go there again.
    I know this is long and I have alot more thing to say.
    Please help me.

      Leila Erebos Have you considered changing psychiatrists? If you go to therapy, you may need to change the therapist. Everyone isn’t for you: I learned that the hard way. You deserve a dr/therapist who WILL help you. Good luck!

    I don't know If you answer to comments on these old videos, but I am in a situation where what I like to do most is spend time with my friends, but I recently started college without knowing anybody here and I'll only get to see mt friends something like once every two weeks, and it's making me very anxious and sad most of the time. I don't know what to do, since I know the problem and I know what I lack, but can't possibly achieve it. If you could help me with this, even if just a little bit, I'd be immensely thankful. It also doesn't help that the person that I talked to the most during vacation is know barely able to even talk, and it's only amping my anxiety since it makes me feel like I'm alone, or being ignored.

      Sorry to hear you are experiencing this, Roger. Something I want you to know immediately is you are not alone. This is a common problem a lot of people experience during their transition to college - all of the friends you've made are now in different places and you can't see them often. The challenge for you to is to maintain those friendships while also developing new ones. I've got four recommendations:
      1) If you live on campus, consider asking someone on your floor to join you for dinner at the dining hall. This is a great way to turn acquaintances into friends. For more on that, check out this video: th-cam.com/video/tGgaU2bhm88/w-d-xo.html.
      2) Look up clubs on campus. People who are involved in clubs want to meet other people who have a shared interest. This is how I made a lot of my friends in college.
      3) See if there are ways you can connect more with your friends who live far away. Maybe you could text more often or facetime/skype over the weekends?
      4) If you're continuing to experience anxiety and sadness, consider making a trip to your campus counseling center. There are professionals there who can help you apply the type of strategies I've outlined in this video.

    We have been conditioned to believe what we see on Television and social media forums. We see good looking people enjoying happy lives with lots of money and big smiles. Reality is not unicorns and rainbows...sorry to convey that fact. Expectations should be within reason that can be controlled. Depression is a factor that has to be thought out as rational. It is the mind that has to be put in check and the mind can do that if there is a personal focus. It is OK to use the power of prayer and ask God to carry you. But fighting the depression monster should be an obsession...fight!

      It's time that works try to give yourself something to do when you find it's at it's worse ...was mornings waking up for me but now I walk a mile or so every morning ...it helps
