"It was a peaceful afternoon in Dreamland... And then some evil demon thing messed everything up, and Kirby now has to stop them by using his new gimmick for the game."
Well, the reason why the Kirby titles are changed in Europe is simple; Marketing. In America Kirby always has more. . . Aggressive(?) covers and titles compared to the European version, which always has a high focus on Kirby's cuteness factor and always has him smiling happily and usually sweet titles. It's nothing wrong with the word curse, but over here it sells better with a family friendly cover and name.
Yeah. I think the reason they changed Wario Shake it to Shake Dimension is so that it would fit better in the line up. With the wario land games for the gameboy and wario world for the gamecube.
Vividria's quote says "watch me SISTERS! I'll do my best" she says sisters not sister. She is now friends with a person she doesn't know killed her sisters. Kirby is dark.
"The early DS commercials were so bizarre." You know, I think that's just the nature of video game commercials. Remember the 80's? The 90's? The 00's? Yeah, there were LOTS of weird commercials. I don't know if we can really point to specific time periods anymore.
According to the Kirby timeline, a split timeline begins with Canvas Curse. In one timeline, Kirby wins, gets turned back to normal, and we get some more mainline Kirby games. But in the other timeline, Kirby loses, remains stuck as a ball, and Drawcia's Dedede clones run amok. Games like Pinball Land, Block Ball, and Dream Course all take place during the loss timeline. You can tell, because Kirby was still a ball, and Dedede is the main villain in those games, even though the real Dedede became more of an anti-hero in Kirby's Adventure.
A Kirby RPG would be a cool thing to see as well. Considering how the series tends to test new ideas, it would interesting to see what twist they would add to make it different from other RPGs.
Kirby quest is only a beginning,I wouldn't mind seeing a full fledged Kirby action rpg, taking what we already know from the games and make it a true rpg
HOPEFULLY they do this because they already made an RPG series with about... wait ss, pit, bis, pj, dt ... 5? Titles to as of sep. 17 2018 and 1 (soon to be 2) remakes. (7 titles if you count the remakes) with Mario AND Luigi. It's pretty amazing. It's called, suprise, suprise, Mario and Luigi (Series) (insert rest of title here) So I hope so.
@@Mooffgamesgamer it's highly implied by the design though, I know it's possible for characters to look similar and not be related, but considering they also have similar abilities and concepts, it's very likely they are related
Peter Marsella there are three sisters, and all of them obviously make artwork.I’d say Vividria is the third sister considering how similar she looks to paintra and Drawcia. Also, there is official concept art of the character drawn next to Drawcia and paintra (not to forget that it does say big sister, which is drawcia and little sister, which is vividria). Which is already de confirming the lore for claycia.
18:14 ironically necrodeus isn’t just the one nearest to kill Kirby but also made he’s troops patrol the islands for Kirby, made he’s troops make towers around the islands to prevent Kirby from progressing, mind controlled giant beasts (and dedede) to prevent Kirby from progressing, found a general so he would command the skullies while he was on he’s secure fortress, sealed the way to he’s fortress with a barrier so powerful it needed a deus ex machina to be opened and in top of that made a army of clones of the monsters he mind controlled to attack Kirby and swallowed the staff to make sure Kirby would never go back to normal before defeating him And even after that, in modern games is implied he’s still alive and made the sun stones in triple deluxe to snuff out the light of floraria basically taking the most valuable thing a plant based society has and needs to survive (sun light) So necrodeus is by far the smartest Kirby villain for having back up plans for he’s back up plans and not-underestimating Kirby but also being able to KILL Kirby which not even dark matter is able to do
Agreed on that, and hell even his skull gang are merciless, to the point that they can even grab a kirby in the final boss fight and take them to Necrodeus for him to devour and outright kill without any hesitation. AntDude just missed these elements, probably due to most villain characters being somewhat stupid for the sake of plot, and then he assumes Necrodeus is the same.

I love Rainbow Curse's claymation art style but just can't get into the game play. I wish we would get a more traditional Kirby game with that art style.
My main problem with Rainbow Curse and why I sort of prefer its prequel over it (aside from lack of Copy Abilities which admittedly is pretty minor) is that a vast majority of the levels force you along in some fashion. And I'm not talking about straight autoscroll either. Not to mention the gimmicks usually attached to them, which in of themselves are pretty cool, but when you are constantly being pressured by some form of screen scrolling along with constantly fighting against your paint supply, it gets a little ridiculous at points. Especially since you can't just constantly tap Kirby to keep dashing or stun enemies like you could in Canvas Curse. I feel he's more prone to flying all over the place in Rainbow Curse, which made the water levels SO MUCH more painful, and I didn't even mind them in the prequel. Definitely can make the challenge stages really frustrating at times. While, yeah, Canvas Curse's levels are more, I guess straight forward and mostly plays it safe with concepts and is overall faster paced, it at least let you go about the levels at your own leisure (as reasonably as it could with its control scheme anyway) with about a few exceptions of just _sections_ being autoscrolling. You know, to actually _explore_ them. That being said, I consider Mass Attack to overall be the hardest game of the touch games, especially since some of the levels and minibosses leave VERY little room for error when going for no hit runs. (Freaking miniboss rush in the fourth world!)
TravelocityKirby yeah I agree canvas curse is much better, and is it just me or is the rocket form just a pain in the ass to control. and the fact that this game forces you to use it just ruins it for me.
The rocket is essentially Kirby constantly dashing while immune to gravity but I definitely had some problems with it, the timer (once again the game forcing you through something) that's almost always involved doesn't help.
Just to say, for the multi-player in Rainbow Curse, I'd see that as a really good enhancement. Because it gives you the choice of 'Do you want to play with the touch screen, or more traditionally?' Plus possibly replayability if you want to try it both ways. *I say that because if I had the game I'd probably end up trying it both ways*
@@justbelish We also say "curse word" It's "curse word", "curse" by itself, or "cuss" by itself. I don't know anyone who says "cuss word" You: "are using a curse word", "are cursing" or "are cussing" And at least here in Cali, I still hear "cursing" and "curse words" more than "cussing" (not that that's super uncommon) So, yeah, don't know why, if they were so worried about that, didn't call it Magic Paintbrush here too. Maybe Nintendo of Europe is just more sensitive? Edit: All that being said, I've just realized that "swearing" and "swear words" are probably the most common way to refer to those words here in America. In order of commonality it's probably "swearing" > "cursing" > "cussing"
They probably didn't like the name and just chose a different one, the name in Japan is "Touch! Kirby" anyway so it's not like the US version is the original.
17:59 AW Kirby Mass Attack, so much memories, This was my first Kirby game and at first i barely understanded the game but a few years later i finally managed to complete the game. I actually think that This game Made my such a big Kirby fan. Oh by the way Antdude Why did you talk so much about Canvas and rainbow curse but not that much about Mass Attack, you forgot to talk about Marx as a boss in Kirby Brawlball and you didn’t even talk about the medals and the Survival Rush (sort off the true arena)
Although I love any Kirby game, my first real one was Kirby mass attack. I was very invested in keeping all 10 of them, and would play for hours, just trying to get all the points. Looking back now, it was super slow and tedious, but I just loved seeing them all run around after my stylus. Also, i thought this art style was the cutest, just because it looked most like Kirby and wasn't so stylized. I mean, I love the clay and the yarn, but just seeing a normal Kirby, albeit tiny, was sweet.
"If someone touches you in a place or in a way that your don't like: You get outta there!" -Sonic (The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog - The Really Uncomfortable PSA)
I have watched a few of your Kirby videos now and have enjoyed watching them but the "bye bye" sign Kirby holds up along side the music in the back ground is what has made me a Subscriber! Its so beautiful! Thanks for loving Kirby so much as you do!
I was actually surprised to hear that you prefer Rainbow Curse over Canvas. For me, the sequel was a huge disappointment after Canvas Curse, which may still be my favorite from the whole Kirby series. Gameplay felt slower and so much more passive because you could no longer touch enemies (and that is not good), and the lack of copy abilities felt lazy. In the DS version, I was always drawing and touching, unlike in the Wii U version where I was mostly just looking at the gamepad. I also think the Canvas Curse was much more difficult and diverse experience, but tbh, that could just be a thing from my memory. Thank you for the entertaining video, once again.
I actually thought Mass Attack was one of the best spinoffs. Maybe it's just my preference, but the variety of stages keeps the game pretty fresh throughout.
I don't think people give these games enough credit. I haven't played Rainbow Curse because of the reasons you mentioned (graphics looking better on TV than gamepad, the 2-player kind of butchering the point of the game...) but the two DS titles are 2 of my 3 favorite Kirby games, the other being Epic Yarn. I think I like the oddball Kirby games where Kirby is kind of nerfed in some capacity. Canvas Curse and Mass Attack are both really challenging to 100% and I think you're underselling just how cool the central 3 minigames are in Mass Attack (pinball, Strato Patrol EOS, and Kirby Quest) not to mention the sprite work in Mass Attack just being absolutely gorgeous. It's the last 2D sprite-based Kirby game and it just looks incredible.

*Kirby Marathon 3: **_Every Episode of Kirby: Right Back at Ya!_*
I'm from Europe, but I haven't heard of the word curse being a bad word, I have no idea why they changed the name.
By the way you are awesome.😀
Idk, Hal must've changed it just in case
Ya know how we say ‘curse word’ and Americans say ‘cuss word’
Yeah they changed it because we say curse instead of cuss for words like f-
Same
@@justbelish We also say "curse word"
It's "curse word", "curse" by itself, or "cuss" by itself. I don't know anyone who says "cuss word"
You: "are using a curse word", "are cursing" or "are cussing"
And at least here in Cali, I still hear "cursing" and "curse words" more than "cussing" (not that that's super uncommon)
So, yeah, don't know why, if they were so worried about that, didn't call it Magic Paintbrush here too.
Believe or not Kirby mass attack was one of my favourite Kirby games when I was little.
Even though the comedic timing and jokes are always so cringey, i just cant stop watching antdude
IF SOMEONE TOUCHES YOU THATS NO GOOD SONIC

Jameson Mozelle WHAT!? A.. A GHOST!?- Knuckles
Well, Sega did do what Nintendon't. They advertised touching is bad, while Nintendo advertised it being good. ...Good--good job, Sega.
Speaking of nintendo acknowledging the anime, the game over screen for stratopatrol shows nightmare's businessman form from the the anime as well!
14:16 yes that IS Tuxedo Mask.
Kirby Air Ride is the best game ever made.
Windtitan Ads I prefer Mario and Luigi:Bowser's Inside Story
Both good choices, but it has to be Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door for me.
what about cory in the house for the ds?
Fogboy Boyfog Sorry dude, I try not to feed trolls.
"Here is your word prompt. Are you ready to respond?"

I have watched a few of your Kirby videos now and have enjoyed watching them but the "bye bye" sign Kirby holds up along side the music in the back ground is what has made me a Subscriber! Its so beautiful! Thanks for loving Kirby so much as you do!
3:00 painful? More like PAINTful
You be surprised about Kirby being that Nintendo game with the best music but you seem to have forgot the Mario & Luigi series
Every time a villain tried to curse kirby, they just ended up giving him really awesome powers
Necrodeus and his Skull Gang? (Cue Team Skull Music)
The hated boss who beats you and beats you down and never lets up! Yeah, big bad Guzma's here!
The Mystery Dungeon one?
Paul Grote Beverborg The Sun & Moon one.

Kirby Dream Course: “Am I a joke to you?”
I love the existance of Kirby M.A! Before I lost the cartridge, I beat the game over and over again.
Ok , now Pokemon spin-offs...

HonoredGamer Pokémon sucks
Disney Nintendo fan 03 Ok, do tell me why Pokemon sucks..
HonoredGamer it's one of the most boring games I've ever played. The only strategy is type matching
HonoredGamer Pokémon games are the best. That guy is just a guy probably trying to be cool by playing call of duty and shit
Prince Stingy Of Lazytown Yeah most likely
you should cover the ds zelda games those are definitely interesting additions in the zelda franchise
I Hate matpat my girlfriend got me into phantom hourglass I love it so far
kirby mass attack is one of my all time favorites, and only because of world 3's surfing level, and brawlball
1:23 I remember when I saw the Sinnoh starters for the first time. It was in a book one of my friends had brought into the Middle School library.
18:32 ya know the game says the 10th one escaped right?
Kirby Mass Attack has one of the best final boss music tracks in the series.
Kirby mass attack was actually my first Kirby game and I played it for hours on end. It is still my favorite Kirby game to date
I remember playing as Waddle Dee in Rainbow Curse with a Pro Controller.
It was beautiful on the TV.
I actually thought Mass Attack was one of the best spinoffs. Maybe it's just my preference, but the variety of stages keeps the game pretty fresh throughout.
Mass Attack has one of the best side games in it! Also the music is awesome.
Of these 3, at least Mass Attack's final boss is great-- His name is literally Death God!
Now I'm wondering if Castlevania 3 was called "Dracula's Paintbrush" in Europe
