14:10 Kirby can never get his strawberry shortcake, even as far back as Kirby 64 he was prevented from eating one at the end of the Desert Desserts cutscene, he gets pulled into the portal when he starts eating it and nope, doesn't get it back.

Actually, the two other kirby games "being developed as well" weren't two other games, but the same game just being tested with different concepts, which is why return to dreamland took 12 years to develop, because they were testing many different concepts.
And yet it's very traditional for a kirby game.

I believe it was the director of Robobot that said they were definitely interested in developing a 3D Kirby game and were exploring ideas. So, yeah, 3D Rumble is most likely testing grounds.

14:04 so it's been a while now and I want to talk about this moment in particular, from what I can tell when magolor "died" he was actually just beamed up into the Lor, which would make sense how it was still functioning, and also means that he's made peace with the Landia, since the game immediately after, he helped celebrate kirby's 20th anniversary by making an entire new mode for a game collection

A small detail i noticed was that some of the soundtrack has sounds and noises from kirby 64. And also, when you are fighting magolor, listen closely and you can hear that magolor’s theme is ACCTUALLY HYPER ZONE 1 from dreamland 3 but heavily remixed
Sega should treat Sonic's stories like HAL treats Kirby's stories.

Maybe it's partially nostalgia, but this is my favorite Kirby game by a long shot. I liked that this one had a bit more of a storyline than the others, great music, and the awesome of a mechanic of the super abilities. You know it's a great Kirby game when you can play it through a million times and not get bored with it
This game was my first Kirby game and I fell in love with it (Then gave it to a friend that liked the game a bit more and he gave me Metroid Prime Trilogy so I definitely wasn't complaining). This was also the game that made me love Bandana Dee as a character.
Oh hey the switch commercial played for this. Sweet, I've never been this excited about a commercial.

5:30 you know, popping the bubble as sleep can also damage enemies. And in Squeak Squead, you failed to mention that if you find the scroll, the Sleep ability can heal you when you lost health.

after 5 years we are getting a official 3d kirby game after this video uploaded so yeah AntDude your wishes came true
This game was my first introduction to Kirby so ill always love it. My dad had a Wii that had this device that had like over 100 games on it but for some reason some cutscenes didnt work on a lot of games, so I didnt see the beginning of the game so I thought Dedede was a good guy
I just found canvas curse sitting on the floor like Wat, I haven't played it for years and now it shows up and gives me a nostalgia attack out of nowhere

There's actually a cool secret behind the Lor Starcutter being sentient (14:00).
Before being able to get to Halcandra, talk to Magalor. At some point, he will talk about the ship's origin. In the dialogue, you'll learn that the ship has a legend of "having a mind of it's own", and Magalor wants to take good care of the ship so he can see if the ship really is sentient or not.
too bad that Magolor's ship comes sentient the very moment after he seemingly poofs out of his existence.
Yes, I know he comes back, multiple times, It's just funny that the one time his ship does stuff on it's own he isn't there to see it.

Return to Dreamland is my favorite Kirby game right next to Nightmare in Dreamland. I've played it so many times through with friends and by myself. Its just so much fun.

I remember when there were ads for this game on tv. That was a good time exept for the fact that every youtuber i saw had return to dream land and i was stuck with adventure wii tha- that was sure fun! I thought they where hacking or something XD
This is my childhood and one of my favorite youtubers talking about to my childhood.
On the super star influences, something I only just recently found out about is that the director of Return to dreamland and all subsequent games after/main director now, Shinya Kumazaki? His first directorial role was actually Super Star Ultra.

I got this game for christmas of 2011, it was my first kirby game and I love it, one of the best games ever made for me
I got this game right away when it came out. I've been a huge Kirby fan since I was a child, even though I've had change to play only few games. I was absolutely crazy about this game, and I played it 13 times, compeliting every single challenge many times! I don't know what got into me, I just loved it. Most of those times I played it trough with my friend. Anyway, I haven't played this game in years, and this video reminded how wonderful it is. I really miss it, and I wish I could play it again! Great video! 🤩 (I have same looking Kirby T-shirt👊)
This was my first kirby game. a friend of mine introduced me to the series (And this game) when it came out... and I never would've thought that years later I'd still be playing kirby games, and that the adorable pink puffball would've became my FAVORITE game franchise. #Kirbyisawesome

I remember watching the trailer with the Playable Characters changing from their old forms to the ones from this game. Which I can't seem to find but atleast I still have the memory.
