You really, really don't want that. Dude has literally 0 clue what the lore is. I'm not saying this to be mean to the guy but he gets shit wrong quite literally all the time- and even in this video with stuff like Claycia in the Rainbow Curse. Her soul isn't even a fight it's a being called Dark Crafter- she even helps you fight it. People call him the Kirby Guy because he likes Kirby and has a plush of him, but dude has *no* idea what's going on outside very very basic level.
Speaking of the entire series, you know a video game franchise rocks (no pun intended, because it’s the opposite word for “sucks”) when even the weakest games in the franchise that were lowest on the list, while not objectively great, have that traditional Nintendo (let alone Kirby) charm. It just makes you question, how is it imaginable at this rate if Kirby had a bad game (or other media, for that matter)? It’s imagination timen *Ken Penders (alongside makers of Sonic comics before Ian Flynn and his team) make Archie Kirby comics where Kirby is actually misogynistic enough to be a serial cheater and everyone else is a jerk in their own ways whether it be King DeDeDe and Escargoon being one-dimensionally evil or Metaknight wanting to kill a lot of other characters like Kirby because of how edgy they think they are or Tiff having an obsessive crush on Kirby who only sees her as a friend* Or if it had a Disney live-action remake by King DeDeDe except for the fact that it has the over-realistic character design style of those movies (not to mention the Archie Comics also having inconsistent character designs) that reimagined the Disney Renaissance from a wonder to behold to a joke that questions its own existence besides being cash-grabs that make them richer and richer regardless of people that are actually in need.
Fun fact about Crystal Shards: you could also hold enemies over your head. Sometimes they'd even have special effects like attacking other enemies for you.
I know star allies wasn't all too amazing, but I think the amount of content it provides makes it at least better than the 3DS eshop games and kirby pinball land...
Agreed, if I was given the choice to play Pinball Land or Star Allies, even though I absolutely adore Pinball land, I would definitely prefer Star Allies due to its sheer amount of content. I feel like Star Allies gets a very bad rep only because of its expectations, coming off the backs of 3 of the best games in the series and moving to a new console, everyone was expecting something that redefined what Kirby could be when we ended up getting an only decent kirby experience.
Star Allies being THAT low genuinely breaks my heart. We really are at the point where it's considered the undisputed black sheep of the modern Kirby era, aren't we.
Yeh, unfortunately even with all the extra content in the form of updates they released , the main mode is just too bland for the most part, and the new friend combos are either an extra movement or a few minutes of one player doing neat stuff while the others just watch, which is too much of an oversight for a title so focused on co-op. It's not a bad game, far from it, but for a Kirby game there's too many things to fix to stand up alongside the other titles
I'm glad that even with Forgotten Land making a substantial step forward for the series, people haven't forgotten how great many of the other modern Kirby games were, the 3DS ones especially (though I'm starting to wonder if the decade-old Return to Dream Land can be considered modern anymore).
@@paulolsen2197 It is a nice looking game for the Wii, but then again, so is something like Super Mario Galaxy. Would you consider that or its sequel modern Mario games? I always thought modern referred to the most recent entries; Super Mario 64 was likely considered modern Mario at one point. I guess it's easier to still consider Return to Dream Land modern because visuals between console generations aren't as drastic as they used to be.
@@C_Arson i think part of it is the style, though there are some variations the style from RTDL up till well really Forgotten land has been somewhat consistent or I guess these are the Kumazaki games…
@@magnusb9783 Oh yeah, that certainly is a factor as well. It's easier to consider it modern if modern Kirby still used the same style until recently. I suppose we could call the Return to Dream Land-style games the modern 2D era to distinguish it from Forgotten Land and it's inevitable follow-ups.
I swear I don't remember ever hearing that many complaints back when Star Allies first came out, and with all the free updates adding more and more content, I really felt like the game was a huge deal. Nowadays it sounds like I'm the only person who even likes it all that much. I wouldn't call it on par with Robobot by any stretch of the imagination, but it's definitely at least on par with Return to Dreamland for me.
Dont get me wrong, the fanservice in it was immaculate. But the dislike for Star Allies stems from its piss easy difficulty and unfinished content. You aren't supposed to complete a game with over 200 lives left (not even exaggerating)
@@professornova1236 I agree that Star Allies' story mode was laughably easy even by Kirby standards, but it's not like the other games will really cause you to lose more than a life or two anyway (usually from instant death by pits or getting crushed). But aside from that, how was the game's content "unfinished"? It had a full story mode, an extra mode with a new final boss that let you play as ANY character in the game, one of the most fleshed out Arena modes the series has seen yet, a True Arena with a stronger version of the final boss, as per usual, and a few fun mini games. By Kirby's typical standards, everything was there since the beginning. Adding more characters, Heroes in Another Dimension, and an even HARDER version of the True Arena with an even harder version of the final boss just gave the game more content than any other Kirby game to date.
@@davisprater4731 The full story mode was a very short experience with only four worlds that you could complete in under 5 hours. It doesn't help when you and your four friends could pummel through all the bosses in 10-30 seconds. Especially with elemental abilities. And we didn't get heroes in another dimension until 8 months later, where we finally got _closure_ to the main story. I personally don't hate the game, but it left alot to be desired imo. The forgotten land pretty much fixes everything about star allies except the frame rate.
Eh...Return to Dreamland is honestly better then Planet Robobot if you ask me...it's just peak Kirby in terms of how it handles collectables, minigames, level design, bosses, etc.
You seriously played all 39 Kirby games?? That’s pretty impressive, I must say. This year I played Triple Deluxe for the first time and absolutely loved it. Planet Robobot is on my list too, but with how consistently adored it is by everyone on the internet, I’m very much looking forward to it!
Planet Robobot is good. A lot of people like Triple Deluxe or Return to Dreamland better - those three are generally well received. The Forgotten land was an awesome transition to 3d though.
@@shred5 So I did start playing Robobot, but it didn't really grab me so I stopped. Will probably go back to it one day. It didn't have the same immediate impact on me as Triple Deluxe.
4:13 Kirby fans may love praising how dark the franchise can get, but clearly, this clip is the darkest moment of the entire series This was a pretty fun list to go through! There were definitely some parts I disagreed with, like Star Allies being at #29 (I actually REALLY enjoyed the game, even before its DLC), but Robobot being #1 is something I absolutely support, that's easily one of the best games ever released! (Although Robobot also happens to be the first Kirby game I played so I'm just biased) Also surprised that Epic Yarn was ranked higher than Forgotten Land, but hey, both games are still really enjoyable This overview of the Kirby Franchise was a fun celebration of Kirby's 30th Anniversary, nice work! And congrats on 500K, by the way!
I'm kinda curious, if Planet Robobot was your first, how did you feel towards all the fanservice that you probably didn't get on your first playthrough?
@@The94Venom Didn't really think anything of it at first, I just thought it was regular content Although, Robobot's constant fanservice is part of what got me to look into the Kirby Franchise as a whole so that I could understand what was being referenced, and from there, I fell in love with the entirety of the Franchise
Epic Yarn's placement makes me happy (yes, I did skip ahead to find it). I love that you give it the respect it deserves, the prevailing TH-cam game reviewer narrative that it is a bad game just because it's "easy" is so bogus and dumb, it is such a great game.
@@marcar9marcar972 The thing is, it kind of does have difficulty but you have to go for those bead medals to get a challenge. In some levels you have to do near flawless runs, like yeah it isn't Dark Souls or anything but I'd say getting the top bead medals in some levels isn't just mindlessly easy.
@@Froge0 leave him to his rinky dink dust covered dark souks trilogy, peoples "oh it needs to be burn in hell difficult" is completely weird because there are so many games that have the so called "easy" tag to these people,it doesnt even matter if its a slow, easy, very beautiful game some cant be wavered because they dont have the patience to take in good games that did help turn the point of gaming
I feel like this is what's antdudes entire channel has been building up to this Love your content antdude I've been a fan since your sonic advance collab Keep up the great work
Not only do I wish that they would make a sequel to Kirby dream course, I wish there was just a way to make some custom courses on that. It's ripe for all that creativity
Glad to see Epic Yarn up so high. Its honestly one of my favourite games ever. Just a good time all round And one of the best OSTs in all of gaming history
I think the fact that even the lowest rated games on this list are 'just OK' rather than flat out terrible, is a true testament to how high quality this franchise is. Or maybe that's just me being a desperate apologist idk.
Nah, I agree and i'm not even super big into Kirby. At worst some might be a little boring but overall I can't say the series has ever had a TRULY bad game.
The only actually bad games are Kirby Slide and (arguably) Kirby’s Toy Box. 37 out of 39 games being respectable packages at the least (with only a few of those 37 in that “respectable at least” category) is very impressive for a 30 year old franchise.
Agreed entirely. Even with the hate towards games like Star Allies. The franchise has never had a game like Sword and Shield, Sonic 06 or Paper Mario Sticker Star
43:46 When I play Star Allies I like getting King Dedede, Adeline, and Waddle Dee together and jumping on Dedede's back. Most nostalgic way to play the game for me, as this is the first Kirby game I played.
Star Allies deserved so much better. The amount of fan service this game not only distributed but executed perfectly is just astronomical. The fact that with every Dream Friend that you summon, you get music from their original game is beautiful. The amount of characters you can play as is amazing aswell, not to mention their original movesets. They even have abridged campaigns with some puzzle changes for every playable character to keep things atleast somewhat fresh. It is criminal to have Star Allies be this low on the list. Any game where I can play as Gooey is a great game. Even though its an entry-level game, it has a decent bit of challenges with The Ultimate Choice and even the final boss in the regular story mode was a little challenging because I'm a filthy casual. In conclusion, this game rocks
I absolutely love this video a lot!! I resonate with a lot of your takes and love for this franchise, I sincerely mean that. But on one hand, I get Star Allies had some big issues, but like... you ranking it below Kirby Pinball feels a little silly and a smidge petty? Considering that you talked significantly more highly about it than you trashed Squeak Squad, which was overwhelmingly negative and much, much higher. While it does have some problems, I definitely don't think it deserved to be so low on this list. Its pros and cons very clearly does not outweigh most of the titles placed above it. At least at the bottom of the more traditional Kirby games rather than below like 15 spinoffs.
I have to disagree with one point in air ride. Despite air ride being fairly simplistic, there's a surprising amount of skill you can gain with it. getting some of those checklist times requires real skill and effort. I just feel people always tend to downplay Air and Top Ride, they're also really good.
Also the soundtrack in air ride Akira may not be the best composer but man the remixes he made and the orchestral soundtrack he did for fright to the finish man so much better then his weird saxophone mischievous thems they definitely fit better in air ride
Just for the whole final boss sequence , robobot is simply a masterpiece. ... Yet return to Dreamland is my number 2. Cause remastered Galacta Knight music blew my mind. My top 4 in no particular order would be Super star , robobot , forgotten land and return to Dreamland. Can't decide which is better though.
The only thing I don't like about Robobot's final boss is it's so long! You go for such a long period without a break, it starts to drag for me after a bit
@@LucianoThePig C'mon , the final boss was such a strong point. Going against the CEO , the computer , then seeing another familiar face for the first time in 20 years... That wasn't a fight , that was a WAR.
This list made me realize how vital Shinya Kumazaki has been to the success of modern Kirby. Sakurai made me like Kirby. Kumazaki made me *love* Kirby.
Congratulations on 500k man you deserve all the love for your amazing content and I’ve loved seeing your channel progress and grow up to this point! I don't think anyone who has kept up with your Kirby content will find #1 surprising. I still remember back when you reviewed it, and the way you gushed over it has yet to be matched 🙂
Congrats on 500K, you definitely deserve it. Always appreciate more Amazing Mirror love, I can’t get over the fact that we haven’t had a sequel yet. And I’m in a similar boat about favorites vs “best,” I think Planet Robobot is the best (though Forgotten Land may top it for me), but I still look at Amazing Mirror even more fondly.
@@zombieguy4444 same, a lot of people hate on it but it felt like sonic generations, a celebration of everything the series was, a true love letter, and people hate it, it makes me sad.
Amazing Mirror is one of my all-time favorite games, and one of my top three Kirby games at the moment, definitely my favorite of the classic formula games, and I'm so glad to see it so high on your list, even if it didn't quite make top 10. It feels like one of those games where people either love it or hate it, and it's nice to see it get appreciation.
but actually Amazing Mirror is not a classic Kirby. It´s an experimental metroidvania kind of game without many QOL mechanics from Metroid or Castlevania
@@andresvillamilduenas2095 By classic formula, I meant without the complex abilities of KSS and anything from RtDL onward. Simpler control scheme and whatnot, before the modern era that RtDL codified.
How freakin' rare is it that a franchise has been running for THIS long and it has a base level of quality that, at worst, is just "okay"? Maybe Metroid but that doesn't have nearly as many entries
@@lukejohnston3117 federation force isn't bad, just very mixed reception and released at a time where people thought the franchise was dead. Most people thought it was at least a decent multiplayer shooter

Tbh you’re definitely one of my favorite TH-camrs and I just randomly found you years ago after many other TH-camrs I liked. You have surpassed almost all of them. Thanks for being awesome!
My first Kirby game was Kirby’s Adventure specifically on the NES Classic edition that was chillin at my grandparents house. So much fun, and I’m happy that it was the game to get me into the franchise
HOLY SHIT. AN HOUR LONG EPISODE OF ANTDUE!? IM SO SO SO EXCITED!! I’ve been subbed since around 150k, and I’ve enjoyed every single episode you’ve released. I can’t wait to see you grow more! Here’s to the next 500,000!
I watched the entire video waiting for Planet Robobot to show up because it was part of my childhood and up until recently, the only Kirby game I've played. words cannot express my joy and surprise when I saw it at #1
I’ve been here since you were Sonikdude :) congrats on the milestone man, you really deserve it. You helped define a good portion of my childhood, and it’s amazing to look back and reflect with you on games with you as an adult.
Congrats on 500K! Also, Planet Robobot was my favorite as well! Even though I haven't played all 39 games, I've played enough to be able to appreciate the traditional Kirby formula. Kirby is awesome. Anyone who says otherwise is very wrong.
While I’m a bit upset that star allies is so low, it’s a bit understandable. After the banger adventures on 3DS, I think they played it a bit too safe and didn’t change up the formula enough to make the game feel unique. The friend mechanic, while neat, definitely made an easy game 10x easier. The DLC and fanservice was pretty neat though.
My heart skipped a beat when I realized that the wii version of epic yarn was in the top 5. I absolutely adore that game because it was have been one of the first console games I had ever played, either first or second I’m not sure. Also, I was so surprised that 3d classics Kirby’s Adventure was included because I always thought of it as a rerelease.
Yeah, when ign gave triple deluxe a con of “too easy” I sit their like, fine, stop liking smash, as Kirby and smash have the same philosophy, also beat the true arena then you can say it.
There is an argument to be had about being too easy or too hard. Souls games are difficult, but none of them are as unfairly difficult as NES games like Battletoads and Ghosts and Goblins. Kirby games can sometimes feel like you are playing with the invincibility power-up on the whole time.
It's interesting how game difficulty can exist at this midpoint between artist choice and objective quality feature. I remember seeing a chart somewhere about how a game is meant to keep a player in a 'flow' state during play; basically difficult enough to be engaging, but not so hard as to be frustrating. But assuming that every game will have a one size fits all state of flow for the players is a folly; it's like saying that your book should be at an x-grade reading comprehension level, then being confused why some people find it an easy read whilst others find it difficult. There should be an author prerogative to decide whether a game should be easy, difficult, or somewhere in the middle; or perhaps even all of the above. Eh I'm just thinking about this because it reminds me of how video game's initial state as a fancy toy have distorted how people view ludonarrative decisions in the story as being more about optimized fun then as, like, a part of a vision by the creator.
I stumbled across this video and absolutely loved it. Kirby’s been my favorite game franchise forever now and I loved ever second of this. Very good video
Amazing video. Been a longtime fan of the channel, so this was a real treat. And I greatly appreciate the love for Kirby's Dreamland 3 and 64 as they're highly underrated. Especially appreciate the latter as that's one of my all-time favorite Kirby games
Robobot is honestly the perfection of 2D Kirby They completely out did it in gameplay department, it's probably the closest thing to a new Wario Land as well Only problem was that it was a 3DS Kirby game, it just feels too short, I wanted so much more
According to the Kirby wiki Gryll uses "boku" which is usually a masculine pronoun and isn't considered a female villain, though that could just mean Gryll is genderless
I wish the best for your channel. You're a very genuine, wholesome, and dedicated youtuber. So much work radiates from your videos and the personality you give to them makes them very enjoyable.
funny thing about how I became a Kirby fan, I discovered this pink fluffy ball (and other franchises like Metroid and Starfox) thanks to the original Super Smash Bros. for the N64. At the time I also started watching the Kirby anime on TV, I became so obsessed with that pink guy that I even had dreams about him (one of them so strange that I remember details to this day, I was kidnapped by Santa Claus along with a homeless child to be trained in a special school that turns chosen children into members of Kirby's species), but unfortunately the video store near our house didn't have any Kirby games, so I had to settle for my first zelda, and I'm not going to lie, the game it was so fantastic that I quickly forgot about Kirby, I only remembered the pink dude years later when I bought my Wii and saw Kirby Epic Yarn for sale, I bought it without thinking twice, I was disappointed at first when I found out that in that game I couldn't absorb powers like Kirby did in the Super Smash Bros. Brawl, but I played it anyway and fell in love with it, and when when Kirby Return to Dreamland released I bought it the week it launched and I've become an assiduous fan of the franchise ever since. I know nobody asked for my story, but I wanted to tell it and I thought this Kirby loving channel was the best place to do it.
Honestly a pretty good video. Only confusing bit was Star Allies and Squeak Squad I guess, since SS had a lot of the same criticisms but was way higher
I love Kirby so much. What an absolutely amazing franchise. Can't wait to get Kirby and the Forgotten Land I absolutely adore Rainbow Curse a s Return to Dream Land. My first introduction to this franchise
Kirby is such a fun character and none of his games are “offensive”… however, I do really wish for a Kirby game that pushes the challenge every so slightly more. I know that they made the series to be for beginners/new comers. That’s cool and for most of the games I say go for it. But I really wonder what a more difficult Kirby game would play like. But maybe that’s just me.
While it would be cool, I doubt they’ll ever make the main story of a Kirby game difficult due to the newcomer thing. Making the games less frustrating for newcomers typically makes it more enjoyable for them and make it more likely that they’ll become fans. The difficulty is usually saved for post-game content like the True Arenas or for trying to get 100% in games like Epic Yarn (which I’ve heard is actually pretty difficult).
Kirby mass attack is harder then most kirby games not by a lot though because it definitely holds ur hand by telling u how many Kirbys are required and also letting u grab them it also tells u a lot hey u need the metals to enter which basically makes it an easier version of pikmin maybe intentionally also the way those little kirbys murder those creatures is adorable since they all look so cheerful by which I mean these kirbys will murder anything they come across happily I especially like the level where they destroy whispy woods family Kirby u bastard
I have no issues with Kirby's easy difficulty, but I do have to admit that while it would likely never happen because it goes against Kirby's core design philosophy, I'm very curious about what a Kirby game would be like if it were genuinely brutal the whole way through. If anything, it'd just be fun to see how everyone reacts to how ridiculously hard (in a fair way of course) this new Kirby game is. The closest we would actually get to that would be if an optional hard mode were added similar in challenge to Dream Land 1's extra mode or Star Allies's Heroes in Another Dimension mode.
I'm glad you shouted out Factory Investigation specifically in the Kirby 64 part. That's legit one of my top ten game songs of all time. Absolute crazy banger.
Planet Robobot being the first feels like the common consensus. I don’t think the same tho. As I do like Triple Deluxe a little more. Anywho, good list.

My lean towards Triple Deluxe probably stem from a more manageable Arena/True Arena since it doesn't involve drastic gameplay changes and I can slum through it with Stone...
Fair enough. I like Robobot better overall, but they're both good. The Hypernova lends to some more memorable set pieces and puzzles and Beetle is one of my favorite copy abilities, so I can see a good argument being made for it.
Honestly, the trio of RTDL, TD and RB are all equally awesome, but TD has better 2.5D by fact, its the core mechanic (besides hypernova ofc) RB gears (no pun intended) towards the robot suit way more on RB than hypernova or 2.5D combined on TD
Rewatching this knowing the kirby backstories, him describing them as ‘incredibly dark and depressing’ does really feel like a bit of an exaggeration. Sure, bittersweet and slightly dark but not *that* bad, yknow.
Amazing Mirror was the first Kirby game I've played, can't really go up from there, especially when your sequel is squeak squad. Though it still got me obsessed with the pink puffball and I really hope now that they've tested the waters with Forgotten Land we'll get a 3D open world sequel. ALSO I WANT SPRAY PAINTS BACK IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK!?!?
I thought I was going crazy when you said Crystal Shards has 35 copy abilities, so I double checked and it does indeed have 49 of them because you can combine each ability with itself to create a new one.
Anthony, this video only cements you being in my *personal* TH-cam “Mount Rushmore” alongside the greats Scott The Woz, Cinemassacre, and Chris Smoove. Thank you for all the great content you’ve put out over the years, and congrats on 500k! 1 million soon!
Sadly you didn't said anything about the scrolls in kirby squeak squad, with which kirby could learn new moves to already known abilities and this feature is somewhat of a predecessor to kirby and the forgotten lands ability scrolls
Except TFL never adds to your overly-basic moveset 😂. The only ability that gets an upgrade from the scrolls is Sword, and that’s the only ability in the game other than Hammer with more than like 1-3 moves. Such a wasted opportunity, especially since more Squeak Squad references in TFL would have been perfect!
I'd say my top five are Super Star Ultra, Triple Deluxe, Return to Dreamland, Forgotten Land, and Planet Robobot I really wish that we'd get a game with Wheel and Water together. I noticed that in the two games that Water is in, Wheel is gone. Aside from that, I recently 100%ed Planet Robobot and it truly is the pinacle of 2D Kirby, so Star Allies had an uphill battle to be honest which I think it would've been cool if Star Allies had the Dream Friends be the main gimmick by way of levels having parts where you pair up with a Dream Friend like one level has you team up with Magalor another features a team up with Marx, etc. Props for them bringing back Suplex though but I would've loved to have seen Wheel as well. Regarding Kirby Fighters 2, I'm surprised they didn't include the enemies you inhaled to get their copy abilities, not even as Echo Fighters. Kirby Block Ball's soundtrack should get more remix, especially the title screen which is my favorite track. I do wish that Forgotten Land did give Kirby two attack buttons like in Battle Royale though and I'm not too fond of how some abilities were handled as amazing as the game was. Also I had an amazing idea for a Sleep replacement if that got a full move-set permanantly, it's called Lazy and it would have Kirby just sit while wearing underwear with an upgraded version having him eat chips on a recliner.
Ok i dont like how people shit on kirby 64,it is a really dam well made game even tho it may have flaws, some people cant look past it. It did break past boundaries to be a half 3d 2d aspect and also included combining powers into their own unique combination, like bomb snowman, ice curl, giant rolling snowball, giant ice snowflake, and a fridge This did lead to inspiration for squak squad or amazing mirror(i forgot which game allows combining) which was kinda cool, though they got rid of the unique ability aspect its still kinda cool seeing peopke who see its game at face value instead of a easy, flawed,or bad game
Its actually funny, you mentioned how Super Star Ultra would be a great introduction to a new person to the series. Well it actually WAS the first Kirby game I played, honestly one of my favorite games in the series!
Instead of thinking "which Kirby is better", I actually learned a lot about Kirby and the other games. So I got to thank you for that. And congrats for 500K subscribers! 🙌
I can't wait to hear him talk about the truly best underrated game in the franchise... Kirby Slide!! Easily a top 5 game in the series, if not number 1!
I find the fact that Kirby's first outing in 3d managed to get so high on the list sets high expectations for what the future of 3d Kirby is, i can only hope for a 3d sequel to amazing mirror with a full 3d open world to explore.
ive been playing every mainline kirby game recently to get myself more excited for when i buy forgotten land and honestly i dont think a person is meant to consume this much kirby in a lifetime
Kirby games are kind of like candy; if you try one after a while of not doing so it's very enjoyable, but if you keep on trying them without much of a break the taste might get progressively less impactful. Personally, I could never get tired of Kirby, but I understand how one could after a while.
Awesome list! I've never even heard of some of these. It's wild that even by the mid-thirties, you were already listing games as "not awful" or "at least decent". There really aren't a lot of outright bad Kirby games out there. That said, it was a pleasant surprise that my Top 5 was almost identical to your Top 5. (Except I would've swapped Epic Yarn for Kirby 64. I love that game to pieces.)
I couldn't agree more with the top three! I'll be excited to see what the future of Kirby holds though, if it might shake up what we consider the best of the best.
people are gonna underestimate the outro but i think you worded the outro perfectly nice job on finally reaching 500k cus that's a hard number to reach. Good luck in your future and i hope you become successful more than you already are!
One thing I think that stinks about the later Kirby series is that he still stays pink in his transformations rather then him changing colors with his ablities for example he turns yellow when he inhales the beam ability also great video man!
This video really has me reminiscing about Kirby. I’m not the biggest fan but I truly love the character, I remember my first Kirby game being Kirby’s Adventure on the Wii virtual console. It not only got me into Kirby but retro gaming as a whole, and is still probably my favorite NES game. Ordered Forgotten Land after watching this vid, I’m ready to fully dive into this series properly.
For me, Kirby Super Star Ultra and Return to Dreamland will always be my favorite, because of the memories I have playing those games with by brother and friends 😀👍
I think that everyone can agree that Anthony definitely deserves this milestone after everything that he has done for so many years, and that goes for anyone and everyone that helped him along the way. I'm glad that he celebrated with his favorite video game franchise, and at the best time possible, too! Take care, Ant. Everything that you've built over the years, you earned it.
I agree. Just like Kirby, AntDude himself is a consistent content creator. What you see is what you get. The first time I saw him was on Johnny's Sonic Advance video and ever since I enjoyed his goofball-ness from his videos. And like I said, he's consistent--at his worst, he is okay, because he means well at the end of the day, and at his best, he makes the most enjoyable Kirby videos ever and earns his title of the TH-camr face of Kirby.
I Agree with most of the list, But I feel like Star Allies is way too low in comparation to the rest of the games, I feel like it is better that Dreamland 1, 2 and 3, And Dreamland 3 is pretty high in my personal list, I get that the main adventure is pretty unremarkable, but is also a better design game overall, But also I would agree more with his placement if you were putting it there as his realise content, Star Allies during Realised date and now are two diferent products
While I do see Star Allies' post release content as a benefit, I also see it as a detriment since it felt like I had to wait multiple months for the games content to reflect it's pricing.
I can't believe we're at 500k. You've got 5M content. AntDude is a household name in my family, we all love your content man! you're doing things right!

It’s imagination timen
*Ken Penders (alongside makers of Sonic comics before Ian Flynn and his team) make Archie Kirby comics where Kirby is actually misogynistic enough to be a serial cheater and everyone else is a jerk in their own ways whether it be King DeDeDe and Escargoon being one-dimensionally evil or Metaknight wanting to kill a lot of other characters like Kirby because of how edgy they think they are or Tiff having an obsessive crush on Kirby who only sees her as a friend*
Or if it had a Disney live-action remake by King DeDeDe except for the fact that it has the over-realistic character design style of those movies (not to mention the Archie Comics also having inconsistent character designs) that reimagined the Disney Renaissance from a wonder to behold to a joke that questions its own existence besides being cash-grabs that make them richer and richer regardless of people that are actually in need.

I know star allies wasn't all too amazing, but I think the amount of content it provides makes it at least better than the 3DS eshop games and kirby pinball land...
Kirby's Pinball Land is pretty great tho
Agreed. But at this point it feels like a running gag to me.
Maybe it's partially soured by the fact that a lot of that content came through _updates..?_
@@squiddu true, but that doesn't necessarily make the game worse and shouldn't really devalue the overall package.
The final boss of Kirby Planet Robobot is such a beautiful tribute to Star Fox.

I know! Why all the [REDACTED DUE TO A LITTLE TOO MUCH DRAMA]?
@@WeirdoGeek it's not hate...
Well it IS just opinion, so it's not the end of the world.
Besides, AntDude basically loves all these games, so what's the issue?
It’s a really great game in my opinion. I haven’t played too much Kirby games, but Star Allies is just one of my favorite games in general
I'm glad that even with Forgotten Land making a substantial step forward for the series, people haven't forgotten how great many of the other modern Kirby games were, the 3DS ones especially (though I'm starting to wonder if the decade-old Return to Dream Land can be considered modern anymore).
I think RTDL is pretty modern, it’s visuals are really nice looking, I actually preferred its visuals over the look of star allies
I prefer to think of Kirby’s Return to Dreamland as the beginning of the Kirby renaissance
Exactly, it should't be that low on the list

Honestly kirby is consistently really fun

I would love a Kirby Lore Video. I really liked Forgotten Land and want to learn more about the lore of this series!

HOLY SHIT. AN HOUR LONG EPISODE OF ANTDUE!? IM SO SO SO EXCITED!! I’ve been subbed since around 150k, and I’ve enjoyed every single episode you’ve released. I can’t wait to see you grow more! Here’s to the next 500,000!
I’m still waiting for the day where AntDude talks about Kirby lore
I'm over here wondering how long in universe each of Kirby's adventures took. Some of them could have taken at least two months.
Couldn't agree more on Epic Yarn. Absolutely full of fun and joy, had a great a time in both solo and multiplayer. One of my all time favorite games.
Sonikdude squad!
Triple Deluxe
Star Allies
Forgotten Land
And Planet Robobot Holds a special place in my heart!
Also recently got Super Star Ultra. It's Awesome
Congrats on 500K! Also, Planet Robobot was my favorite as well! Even though I haven't played all 39 games, I've played enough to be able to appreciate the traditional Kirby formula. Kirby is awesome. Anyone who says otherwise is very wrong.
Great Video AntDude I just reviewed Kirby and the Forgotten Land and absolutely raved about the game. I am totally captivated by that pink puff!
This video is amazing and I'm so happy you finally hit this crazy milestone.
But we need to talk about that Kirby's return to dreamland placement...
I HAVENT WATCH THE WHOLE VIDEO YET LETS GOOOOOOOOOOO I LOVE THAT GAME OH MY GOD I COULD TALK ABOUT HOW MUCH I LOVE IT FOR HOURS!
Sorry I just get excited when it gets mentioned.
Epic Yarn is the only Kirby game I've ever played.
Complaining about kirby's easy difficulty is like complaining about the hard difficulty of the souls games because regardless they are both fun.
Yeah. I'd like to see a soulslike difficulty for Kirby games and vice versa, but I'm still happy without them.
Robobot is honestly the perfection of 2D Kirby
They completely out did it in gameplay department, it's probably the closest thing to a new Wario Land as well
Only problem was that it was a 3DS Kirby game, it just feels too short, I wanted so much more
@you know this silence bot
AntDude, the only TH-camr that does very long, And very high quality vid like this when there's stuff to celebrates
This aged awful past, present and future
Gryll was the last character I thought would be recognized in a celebratory Kirby thumbnail, but I'm glad she's here.
Gryll is most likely male
@@manteiga6522 What's your source?
According to the Kirby wiki Gryll uses "boku" which is usually a masculine pronoun and isn't considered a female villain, though that could just mean Gryll is genderless
Man, I just noticed the length of the video when it ended. Great content, you just made me want to try the series one more time.
Congrats on the 500k!
I wish the best for your channel. You're a very genuine, wholesome, and dedicated youtuber. So much work radiates from your videos and the personality you give to them makes them very enjoyable.
Holy crap, what a surprise, this will be an interesting watch! And the thumbnail art is just...incredible, wow. Congrats on half a million!
We need a Rainbow Curse stage in Smash just for the Art Style.
“40 bucks for Kirby stamina!”
Ant: Guess I’m eating dog food now.
funny thing about how I became a Kirby fan, I discovered this pink fluffy ball (and other franchises like Metroid and Starfox) thanks to the original Super Smash Bros. for the N64.
Can't wait to get Kirby and the Forgotten Land
I absolutely adore Rainbow Curse a s Return to Dream Land. My first introduction to this franchise
I will say this AntDude, you're the main reason why I got into Kirby. I wanna thank you for that.
It wasn’t super hard or anything, but a lot of Forgotten Land’s treasure roads were decently difficult
@@margiemorrison9190 Haha, that’s really funny as Mass Attack is one of my favorite Kirby games.
Absolute crazy banger.
i respect you for knowing what a roguelike is. Now hear me out, we need a full on roguelike for kirby
Yeah! :D
Shout out to none of these being bad. Kirby keeps a good high quality 👌
I'm only at 37 and he still has so many good things to say about the 3rd to last spot. This is why I love this guy :)
Planet Robobot being the first feels like the common consensus.
I don’t think the same tho. As I do like Triple Deluxe a little more.
Anywho, good list.
Yes sir I agree, I just like the HYPER SUCCCC 💀

This video was amazing, and man I follow you since 2017 and I'm still surprised you don't have MORE than 500k subs
I went “But thirty five isn’t 7 squared, it’s 49?”
Oh man, Smoove, thats a callback. Haven't watched him since Black Ops 2.
Return To Dreamland was my first Kirby game and I loved every minute of it.
“I’m going to clobber that there Kirbeh”
Sadly you didn't said anything about the scrolls in kirby squeak squad, with which kirby could learn new moves to already known abilities and this feature is somewhat of a predecessor to kirby and the forgotten lands ability scrolls
Except TFL never adds to your overly-basic moveset 😂. The only ability that gets an upgrade from the scrolls is Sword, and that’s the only ability in the game other than Hammer with more than like 1-3 moves. Such a wasted opportunity, especially since more Squeak Squad references in TFL would have been perfect!
I'd say my top five are Super Star Ultra, Triple Deluxe, Return to Dreamland, Forgotten Land, and Planet Robobot
I really wish that we'd get a game with Wheel and Water together.
What about FL where there is no wheel or water but there are mouthfull mode versions.
Ok i dont like how people shit on kirby 64,it is a really dam well made game even tho it may have flaws, some people cant look past it.
It did break past boundaries to be a half 3d 2d aspect and also included combining powers into their own unique combination, like bomb snowman, ice curl, giant rolling snowball, giant ice snowflake, and a fridge
This did lead to inspiration for squak squad or amazing mirror(i forgot which game allows combining) which was kinda cool, though they got rid of the unique ability aspect its still kinda cool seeing peopke who see its game at face value instead of a easy, flawed,or bad game
@@Silver-Nao squeak squad
Its actually funny, you mentioned how Super Star Ultra would be a great introduction to a new person to the series. Well it actually WAS the first Kirby game I played, honestly one of my favorite games in the series!
Same!
3D Kirby Metroidvania? Where’s the book collection of memories?
ive been playing every mainline kirby game recently to get myself more excited for when i buy forgotten land and honestly i dont think a person is meant to consume this much kirby in a lifetime
Games are great individually but I did the same and it’s way too repetitive after the fifth
Ahhh, Amazing Mirror just missed out on top 10! That will always be my favorite Kirby game of all time, so I do enjoy seeing it get some love! :)
kirby superstar ultra was the first kirby game i ever played and i fell in love with it
Battle royale needs a sequel on switch. I’m just saying this because it was my first Kirby game (for some reason).
One thing I think that stinks about the later Kirby series is that he still stays pink in his transformations rather then him changing colors with his ablities for example he turns yellow when he inhales the beam ability also great video man!
Do you think you'd like if they brought spray paint back like they had in amazing mirror and squeak squad?

@@narxmagee727 I personally don’t mind it that much as long as the post-release content is free……… which it was.
I can't believe we're at 500k. You've got 5M content. AntDude is a household name in my family, we all love your content man! you're doing things right!
Love the video dude, glad to see fans of such an awesome series! Kirby for another 30 years!
