05 brute force 750 vtwin,limp mode

if you have a brute force and the belt light is on do this simple thing in this video to clear out the belt light and your four wheeler should come back out of limp mode it's basically a safety feature after a period of time for riding that you sit there and you need to maintain it maintenance the vehicle like change the oil check the spark plugs make sure that if you continue to ride these things are actually checked and make sure they're good but if you're out in the woods and you're riding and all of a sudden you can't do anything but sit there and spit and sputter and barely ride this thing. do this simple little trick and it should clear it out

Hey I need some help. My belt light came on like it does every so often. So I opened up the belt cover to check if it was okay and I flipped the switch thinking it would reset the light then I turned it on and the belt light was blinking and I thought it would go off when I started it up but it stayed on and wouldn't go above 10 mph and now it's stuck like this.

if the belt light is NOT on, can the bike still be in Limp Mode? my light is not on but it is sputtering and backfiring now...
