OVERBOOST - FUEL CUT - SPINNING - DYNO GONE WRONG

  • Still investigating the issues, but, loading the car on 4rth at 3,000 RPM seams to do weird things and we can do a clean pull. No issues on the street, but, on the dyno yes. Also notice after, same issues on a hill on 4rth/3K with delta gas pedal...it does jerk and hesitate (less than the dyno). Waiting and see if the data will reveal so info and hope an tune adjustment will fix this issue(s). Cheers.

    Torrie already send the fix....I will be able to do a full WOT at low RPM's with no kick down. Will try on the street before and see. Not sure if I can go back to the Dyno before August?

      Is a kick down where our stupid car goes from like 4k rpm and randomly drops down to 2k at the same gear 😅

      Mine does that even with torries tune and with 3 inch downpipes, cai, mrt axle back it sounds like shit mate lol

      @twinforcedfusion I also recently broke my driver's ctv axle shaft. After that I think on the install they may have knocked out the sensor or harness that controls the blowoff diverter. I did replace it thinking that was the problem, being that I am currently unable to vent to atmosphere.. even with steeda bov.. I get check engine code p0035 turbo valve circuit voltage high. 😢 so I'm still wondering where the end of that sensor harness goes too and how to check it. I already unplugged the main one at the diverter but am unsure where it runs too. Any idea? Cheers

      @@zachpowell9087 Torrie sent a new revision that will prevent kick down in gear selection, but will upshift once arrived at red line.

    That thing looks wild, I occasionally will hit a patch on my commute to work where the car will gain some sort of extra boost when I throttle it after either traction slips or going over a bump. It happens shortly after i shift into 3rd or 4th.
    Every once in a blue moon my Sport will also slip gears into neutral to protect from overboost, this only happens when I punch it from 2nd to 3rd on a hot/warm day. It's super scary when it happens because it revs to 6500 rpm

    I thought your engine was toast when I saw the smoke! I realize it’s just the fuel cutoff doing its job though. Thanks for sharing!

    Someone pulled out in front of me and totaled my sport about last month. I miss it so much. Thinking imma switch to a golf r when I get this insurance check

      Sad , i feel you. Interestingly, b4 getting the FFS, i was looking at the GolfR, but my city is flooded with them. Heck, the GTI is rare, the R is everywhere. But easy to be low 11s or high 10s

      @@twinforce_fusion6560 I ended up opting for the GTI. Picked up a 22 gti s with 4k miles for 26k. My dads buddy owns a GMC dealership and was able to find me the GTI on the auction. Still gonna miss my Fusion though that was my baby.

      I just ran a 4.49 0-60 with stock turbos on e30 with just bolt on upgrades.

      Never drove it, but have a friend with a Maverick and he luv it. Also, I see a lot of modded Focus ST's in my region, they do not race them, but their street presence is interesting.

      I had one personally and it's alright as a daily driver but no real point in trying to push it past what it's made for. The car is average at best. Tiny turbo, small engine compression. If you want to build one go 2.7 or 5.0. 5.0 has way more potential tho.

      LOL, this car been on dyno like 20 times and maybe 4000 passes on the quarter mile. She is run hard, but maintained like no one other. Cheers.

      @@gorgonismztruth1551 that's the fuel cut to protect against overboost. The tune is doing is job in protecting the engine.
