@@briancatchflightss they have a small part of the harlem line & an even smaller part of the hudson line :( I'd like to see one go all the way to the end.
NJ Transit - no simulators in my day. This makes so much sense in the training of locomotive engineers. Old saying - we have to crawl before we can walk.
Waaaay better than the crap we have from Steam who obviously hasn't rode LIRR to know how much of it is still unwelded track and, how this M7 brakes, as opposed to this one in your video. This one is nice. Is it available for the public?
Your time on the simulator depends on how many people are waiting to use it. There is currently no additional cost for the rest of this year, but that is subject to change next year.
Yea I noticed a lot of the speed profiles were incorrect too. While I’m curious as to whether the route can be updated to the 2.0 standard, I also suppose that it doesn’t matter, seeing as the signals and speed profiles are not enforced here anyway.
Love the video I remember seeing the post on Facebook a few weeks ago when it was originally showcase in the museum . Yeah hopefully they make an updated version
Wow, impressive. I don't think I've ever seen a "cockpit" simulator like this, at least not outside of an official training setting (I think Tokyo Metro has something like this?). I wonder if they'll ever attach screens to the side window as well. Right now it looks like it's covered up with a black screen
@@empirestaterails Ah okay. Yeah, I'm not sure whether TSW can even support a second custom camera view. But nonetheless this is an impressive project. One of these days I'd love to build something like this in my house.
There are no real engineers training you, just staff members telling you how to operate it it. The price of admission is 7$ and the simulator is included.
Using a cab-like environment for these simulators is one of the best things I’ve have seen here. Nice job!
The M7s and M3s are so fun to drive on Train Sim World.
And the M9’s
If only there was a metro north simulator like this one.
Train Simulator World & Train Simulator Classic have the Metro North.

Crazy how they got ATC to work when TSW can’t even get it to work their self
The LIRR 2.0 route has properly working ATC
Air traffic control?
@@ItzChickenYall Automatic Train Control.
It does work in tsw I use it all the time just like ptc when I’m driving NJT and Amtrak
I actually had the pleasure of riding in one of the cabs a friend who was a conductor said not to touch anything and I listened to him it was fun
Wonderful video! One of my friends came here on the same exact day!!
I wanna go to Oyster Bay Railroad Museum Right now
Looks like fun. I want this on open BVE all the time.
Train sim world 5 it’s not free but yea Lol
@@JustKillaKyou can transfer your content from TSW4 to TSW5 for free
Very nice, one of my friends went there today and he tried it out
Cool to see a real life video its been some time
I always loved trains and played tsw 2 since I got the Xbox one series s and i have tsw4 and I always wanted to see something like this
Incredible video of an awesome simulator. Nice one. 😀
Finally they made EMU Simulator! Like in Moscow, in the subway museum
I've gotta try that soon

Yes
You can also play it at home as well. Remember it's Train Sim World 4, so it's basically the same version
woah so that's what they did with those front mockups!
Love to see it.
That’s the place where I volunteered there!
this is so cool! Can i have more detailed info? Like are there any other simulators and if there is a time limit or cost?
Your time on the simulator depends on how many people are waiting to use it. There is currently no additional cost for the rest of this year, but that is subject to change next year.
No other sims, next up might be the DEDM though
We do have other non-simulated cabs though, we have an ALCo FA, M1, and the DEDM
@@FanRailer oh okay! Definitely want to plan a trip there, thanks!
@@overly7997 oh that's pretty cool!
i was there today too i think i saw you lol
I wonder if railroads would eventually use DTG simulators for their training programs in the near future?
That’s awesome!!! The horn is a bit delayed tho
Yes, there are a few things I can nitpick about it, but it is otherwise still a fun experience.
Too bad they aren't using the new LIRR 2.0 with my signal fixes. The signals in the old version are complete trash. Really cool project nonetheless!

It’s the fact that people who are into or know abt computers and stuff like that could make a setup or something like that at home
Well that looks like real life
I so badly wanna try this
Is there any info on admissions or to get inside the simulator? Another thing is that are real engineers training you the same time as the simulator?

Which version of the LIRR route are they using?

... it's kind of in the name, dude
It is in Oyster Bay/Long Island, NY. You can take the Oyster Bay LIRR line to Oyster Bay station, where this museum will be.
Someone should make a LIRR rail driver and it should be console supported

Is it you driving or someone else?
It’s him driving
You were there did not see you i am in charge of the JVs Junior Vollunter
